I recently moved to the Winchester, VA area. A contact highly recommended Shenandoah Storage…read moreConnection. Prior to the move we wanted to bring as much as we could in terms of house hold effects to a local storage locker. We ended up making many trips up and back during the house building process and brought a load of boxes each time. This reduced the cost we eventually had to pay movers, and was an easy way to have essential house hold items available as soon as we moved to the area. We were coming from almost 100 miles away so this was just very helpful. Elizabeth was great. Her storage rates were reasonable and as a bonus I even stored one of our cars at the facility. Every step of the way Elizabeth was just wonderfully helpful. Access to our storage was easy but the facility also has very good security. After we moved it was just really handy to have pre-positioned our must-have possessions for an easier move to our new home. I highly recommend Elizabeth and her company for your long and short term storage needs.

This review is for U-Haul equipment rental, not storage units…read more I needed a trailer to help a friend move some things. I had maybe a week's notice. Every place near my friend or I seemed to be out of trailers. I put in a reservation at one place and the U-Haul corporate customer service called and said the trailer wasn't available. However, there was one at YourSpace Storage (YSS) at Ballenger Creek. I said that was fine and my reservation was finalized. Come the day of, I'm scrambling to get out of work early to make the hour-long trip up there to pick up the trailer. Of course, it's rush-hour, and traffic is pretty bad. I'm rushing, taking every bypass and shortcut I can think of trying to make my 5:30pm reservation time, which is pretty much impossible. As I'm on my way, I give YSS a call and on the line is this warm, friendly person filled with positive energy. "Hello! This is Lindsay at YourSpace Storage at Ballenger Creek. How may I help you?" I explain that I have a reservation and that I am running late and was extremely apologetic. She understood my predicament and said she would be waiting for me. I finally I get there at 6pm, right at closing time, and she wasn't mad or anything. She had a smile on her face the whole time and worked with me to get the trailer rented quickly (I didn't want to hold her up any longer). Within 10 minutes, the paperwork was finalized and I was able to help my friend and everything was great. I really appreciate Lindsay's courtesy and compassion. The fact that she was willing to help me even though I was late, it really made my day. Thanks, Lindsay!

We used Lloyd's for a local move to a larger house. Having never used professional movers before,…read morewe weren't certain what to expect, but the process went well. The movers were all friendly and introduced themselves to us, which helped us feel safe, especially with our kids around. They worked quickly, padded everything well, and worked to get our things into our new home where we wanted them, despite some challenging home angles to work around. Moving is a stressful event, but Lloyd's Transfer & Storage helped ease some of the burden. We'd like to thank Richard W., Aaron G., Trent R., Jeremy, Hunter F., and Tia A. for all their hard work. We hope to not have to move again for a long time, but I would be happy to use them again if needed.

The pickup had to be rescheduled due to mechanical troubles, then due to rain, but they were good about keeping me in the loop and working with me to find a good time, and they were willing to come on a Saturday, which was very helpful. They were very professional, and quickly got to work tossing stuff in the dumpster. Pretty soon that pile of junk was gone, as were all the old plumbing fixtures, furniture, and the piles of trash in the shed, plus a few rusty barrels, for a price I found pretty reasonable--under $1k for a 20-cubic-yard dumpster, including a few extra fees for tires and CRTs. I would definitely hire them again in the future.
