The property manager on site was complaining about me staying too long in my storage unit when I only spent 1 hr organizing my items and clothes and told me I'm only allowed to be at the storage unit for 20-30 min a day. Then today as I was walking off the property the property manager harassed me telling me I'm banging on his office door with no proof it was me and was definitely racially motivated because he told me it was hard for him to pronounce my name when I first checked in. at this point I refuse to use the bathroom on site due to being harassed everytime I access the storage unit and it being an issue for just renting a storage space wouldn't recommend to anyone I suggest purchasing a U-Haul next door.

If I could give zero stars I would…read more We are storing the contents of our home in four storage units at this location as we go through an unexpected home renovation of a home we just purchased. We went yesterday to grab a few things and immediately discovered that there is a vermin infestation in the units. They are in several different locations on the property, so I can deduce that the issue is not isolated to our units alone. We are not storing food or scented items. Most of our items are porous and will need professional remediation to salvage or just need to be thrown out. I am absolutely devastated. To add insult to injury, we've tried to contact the office multiple times and even went to the office and no one is there. In total we pay over $1200 for storage (and going up because they arbitrarily raise your rate every month). DO NOT RISK IT. it's cheaper to rent an apartment to store your stuff safely and in a climate controlled manner.

I also recalled that this is a reoccurring issue and that back in May , she was made aware of it. Ashley responded by asking " do you own a home?" then suggested that I should stop renting out of this location, where I have been for several months. Another tenant, named Susan, was present during my call with Ashley and could be heard complaining about the extreme heat, just like I did. During our phone interaction, Ashley was on speaker phone and other Tenants witnessed her extremely unprofessional and rude behavior ( she kept on talking over me). Susan, the other Tenant, was so offended by the manner in which Ashley Sutton spoke to me, that she went to the office and informed Matthew Lunstrum. Ashley referred to me, the paying Client as: " Hon" and in a condescending manner suggested that I should take my patronage to a different company. Clearly, Ashley forgot that the agreement that I signed states that these storage units are supposed to be climatized and free of pests. She's selling these units as " climate controlled" but that's False. Back in May when I noticed the lack of climate adjustment, Ashley lied and stated that it would get fixed. Today, she rudely responded that someone would get called but the issue will not be fixed on this date. If Ashley was a "homeowner" she would know that once the HVAC SYSTEM is fixed / a Tech is in fact called ; the lack of climate adjustment issue doesn't keep on occuring.

I wanted to say that I received excellent customer service throughout the entire time I used their facility. I was usually good with making payments, but when I forgot one, they took it in stride when I called. After I moved everything out, my bank still sent them a payment, which they returned. I'll always give a plug for honesty and good business practices like that. Highly recommended since they are honest folks.

Which ended up being very last minute on our part. When he was away for vacation, he promptly responded and had his father available just as quickly when we needed a second unit. The units are clean and inexpensive, with security cameras everywhere. There is a drop box for easy and convenient payments anytime. I highly Upton Storage and the people that run it. P.s.
