My son and I started off by watching the owner repeatedly violate multiple golden rules and repeatedly sweep his daughters(?) with a pistol he was showing/instructing a woman on. All Guns Are Loaded! Never Point a Firearm at Anyone or Anything You're Not Willing to Kill or Destroy. Almost got up and left, but we were really wanting to try out a couple new pistols. Staff is courteous and helpful. Main entrance area is clean and well presented. Waiver is thorough. Prices are on the high side, but acceptable of you buy an hours time. Got a lane, upstairs #3, and find one bench, no shelves, no table and nowhere to set anything but on shooting bench in lane. To quote our Dear Leader, " C'mon Man!". Tables or a long shelf on the back wall would be a fantastic upgrade. Ventilation sucked, or shall I say, failed to suck. Spent our session in a fog. Glad my SBR has a flashlight, it helped to see the target at the max 25yd range through the haze and dim lighting. Fix or improve ventilation, please, pretty please! A couple was shooting in lane #1, the man experienced a ricochet which hit him in his abdomen. Lucky to only incur a non-penetrating impact with immediate bruising. Bruise should be quite tender and colorful throughout this week. Found the lead that him, deformed enough that there's no way to tell what caliber it was and hence who fired it and thus maybe why it came back up-range. Most likely not the traps design, probably just a "Shit Happens!". Will probably return. Hope to see and experience improvements. read more

The people that work there are so nice and helpful. I love going there all the time. My dad and I go there as a bonding time together and we enjoy it a lot. All the employees are so cool and love there job and if I could work there I would love it also. Out of all the shooting ranges I've ever been to, this one is hands-down the best. They offer two separate ranges, one upstairs and one downstairs, each have about five or six lanes. The ventilation system in this building is absolutely amazing. I was NOT left with any sweet taste of gun powder or lead in my mouth, and when I got home my stomach was not upset (like one local place nearby with poor ventilation). They have a simulation room where you can practice different scenarios and improve your self-defense tactics which is very advanced for those looking to build upon their skills. The staff greeted us with smiles and were so friendly and helpful. I was incredibly impressed with the entire experience and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for and advanced experience in shooting/practice. Thank you so much. The one that I had been using for 15 years closed down and I was terribly disappointed in that! Then, as I was going down Cody Road a few years ago, I saw this big green building on the side of the road that had the name of the place. I didn't go immediately, I continued to go to the one that was 40 miles away. Boy, did I waste my time in driving all that distance when this one is only 3 miles from my house! I went there and the people are just SO friendly and helpful. When they got my information, which did take about 5 minutes (oh, the horror) and went into the stall, it was beautiful!! Like most people, I thought that it was a little high priced, but it was really worth it by how nice and clean the stall was. I did my shooting and left after only about 45 minutes. It was plenty of time for me to shoot my 2 pistols. I did take a little time to look over their front and they don't have a lot of different selections on ammo or firearms, but, that's okay. The only negative I might have is that the stalls are a little too cold for me. The ventilation is GREAT, but the air blows hard and it was probably about 60 degrees in there. I've been back several times and I just take a light jacket or flannel shirt and that works fine. Thanks! read more

Just finished shooting there. It's a nice, well maintained range. There is some initial paperwork you will be required to fill out. Cost is $25 per hour, which I'm ok given how well maintained it is. I will be going back. I recommend this shooting range. read more

This place is clean, well equipped and properly supervised and monitored. The people who own and run it are a delight. They know guns and shooting. They are friendly and accommodating. Their costs are very reasonable and for a well equipped and monitored facility worth every penny. Today I was helped by the one of the assistants named Crystal. she was thorough, professional yet polite and pleasant. These are wonderful interpersonal skills and makes the whole experience relaxing and enjoyable. I have a bad knee and she suggested a stool that I could sit on and personally demonstrated all the features of the firing lanes. The ear protection they have is first class and I used it instead of my own. On departure I was given a rundown of the facility by the owner. They provide simulator time if you desire, formal instruction and NRA courses. Their ammunition is very reasonable and they have a variety of guns you can rent if you desire to try our different brands and calibers. In summary... great place and worth a visit. read more

By far the best range in Mobile, AL. The owners are great to work with and will help anyone out. It's a great place for beginners and experienced firearm owners. The facility is top notch! They have an upstairs and downstairs range with five or six lanes each. The ranges are well ventilated and are well lit. SRT has a lot of cameras in the faculty and it is constantly monitored so you feel very safe. There are also firearms you can rent which range from handguns to AR's. Pricing is very reasonable as well. They also offer a simulation room for honing in your self-defense skills. I would highly recommend this range to anyone! SRT is nice and new. Has a virtual simulator and staff are friendly. Cannot give five stars as they are on the high end for cost of use. Other ranges in Mobile and Saraland are more competitively priced. If you go just once in a while ok, but I like to shoot and living in the city, the ranges are my only choices. read more

I'll admit I was excited when I heard/seen this range coming, and I don't want to take away from how nice it is or anything about the people, however at the prices they are charging I'll just go to Roberts. They include glasses and hearing protection in their price but won't discount if you bring your own. Again I'll just else where. read more
