Found some Kuhl shorts that I really liked the material and design, just not the fit. Dressing room was clean and convenient. The staff was friendly and engaged during the entire visit. I am new to some of these brands, so hopefully they will work out well. I will definitely come back here to shop, customer service killed it.

The employee wouldn't accept the return because he said he can't resell "worn" shoes and insisted on telling me that I was lying and they had been used, when in fact they hadn't. Yes, I went off because because told you're lying when you know you're not, is frustrating. I took them to a Hibbett in another county and they accepted the return with ease and agreed they had never been worn, and that they've also heard negative things about the Schillinger Mobile location. The pictures show all of the very clear wear and tear marks and blemishes on these overly worn shoes!!!

Dicks seemed to be the smaller sports items like clothing and shoes, but also big items, and the Field and Stream side had kayaks, tents, and other big items, but also clothing, so it was a bit confusing. In any case, we found the fishing net we needed and mosied around trying to decide if we needed more stuff to stack in our garage. Turns out we did need more socks. The prices in both stores were high, but hey, when you need socks, you need socks. Amazon and Walmart had everything I needed at a much lower price, but I felt like throwing money away. The store (s) were/was very clean but too big. We only saw two people working, and both were in the giant stores trying to check out a long line of folks. Ideally, you would only shop here for specialty items that you cannot find elsewhere. If that is your situation by all means go here, no one will bother you while you shop,

For folks with any foot issues...bunions, plantar fasciitis, injuries, etc. IYKYK. This is one of Mobile's hidden gems, when it comes to service and footwear. He may fit you into some Nike's or other brand name, but they won't be something you can pull off a shelf at Academy. If you're looking for a "deal", better off at one of the big box stores. For me, the service here is invaluable. You're going to pay higher prices here, but you absolutely get what you pay for. I shopped the firearms counter during our visit as well. The staff was also friendly and quite knowledgeable. They answered every question that I had across an array of types of arms. As a retired military and law enforcement weapons trainer, it's refreshing to talk to gun counter staff that actually know the products. I cannot recommend enough, they are a Mobile staple and must visit.

Thanks for ruining Christmas for me. This store is nothing…read morebut a bunch of liars and scammers with mislabeled merchandise that when you go to try to ring up it's two to three times what it's listed at on the Shelf. I just went to go buy an Under Armour windbreaker on clearance rack and they had the shelf label $14.98.... Not 14.98 and up just 14.98. Then I picked up an Adidas jogging jacket they had on a rack with the price $29.98...not 29.98 and up.... I get up to the register and they hit me with like over a hundred dollar total... This is deceptive marketing and has ruined my Christmas as I don't have much money but I wanted to get my wife something nice but I'm not spending 100 bucks on 2 items that according to their clearly marked signs shouldn't have exceeded 50 bucks total. You just lost a many years long customer customer over this I hope it was worth it. Seems Academy has gone the way of Dicks and Field and Stream when it comforts screwing over customers.
