The four year old is in the Tiny Tigers & the 5 year olds are in the Little Dragons. I have personally attended 90 percent of the classes for both programs. Jo Kyo Greene is the main instructor for both classes, with the help of Jo Kyo Gaudet, Jo Kyo Westbrook, & Jo Kyo Rodriguez-Lyness. Which are all black belts. I've observed them working with older kids, & adults , then beautifully transitioning over to a milder side with the toddlers. The instructors break down the material being taught in a way to get the toddlers attention. I've also witnessed the Belt Test. Every two months a belt test is giving for the students to display the skills that they have learned and mastered. If achieved they receive their new rank, by receiving another color belt. They also have camps, in which I am looking forward to attending in the near future. I am happy that I joined this organization. I cannot wait to see what the future holds. The kids learn discipline and karate skills in a fun environment. One of the things that I really like is their method for advancement. Since it takes a while to move up belts, the kids can earn stripes in between belts in order to keep them motivated. The only "negatives" would be that some classes are taught by younger black belt students and they sometimes have trouble keeping the littles in line. But the adult instructor is usually nearby to assist when needed. Definitely give them a try if you're looking for a safe (and indoor) way to keep your kiddos active.
