The staff here is horrible, I arrived to my interview and they had no idea what I was talking about it. They are all talking in the back and laughing the entire time. She sat me down at a computer for 45 minutes and had me fill out the I-9 form which only took 10 minutes then they walk away and you have no idea where anyone is. Very unprofessional and unreasonable this place not to mention UNCOMFORTABLE, very uncomfortable they act like they have no idea you are coming for an interview. Avoid this place at all costs they LOVE TO WASTE YOUR TIME. Juanita is a dipshit and wastes your time. None professional staffs. I was interviewed by Karla Andrade and looking for a HR position. During the interview she's said will try her best to get me into an HR position since she's satisfied with my background. However, she never do the follow up until you reached them again. Today, I received a job update from her and it's totally not in HR field (machine operator) with really LOW pay. So, If you reach out to people privately on a job opening. It is also important that you give feedback. Dont ask for their resume and then they won't hear from you again. Be professional enough to give feedback whether they fit or not. I was assigned Juanita as my agent. Was really nice at first however she would assign me jobs last minute with little to no time to prepare. I had to show up the next day without the proper steel toe boots and when i arrived at the address Juanita had given me i was unable to find the entrance so I call juanita and I got no answer. I tried looking for 10 more minutes and was unable to find it so I had left ,after that she completely disappeared , she would ignore my text and would send all my calls to voice-mail. She didn't even explain what had happened. Very very unprofessional, I was left very confused. I have interviewed with several staffing agencies, but this location, by far, has been the absolute worst! Firstly, They do not follow up with you after conducting face to face interview. Secondly, the recruiter (Kristen Lichtwardt) did not make me feel comfortable, as she just looks at you like she's judging. I interviewed with her sometimes in July, and she told me she has few positions that she will call me about. I was hoping to receive some information from her, but never did. Then couple of months later I received an automated call from Select Staffing saying "there are several job openings in Lake Forest. Please contact the location to discuss." So I called the number and it went to the company's customer service center. I spoke with Sergio in department and he told me that I would need to conduct a face to face interview with a recruiter in Lake Forest location, as his system shows that I haven't done so within six months. I informed him that I had an interview with Kristen, but he said that there were no notes in the system that shows I had an interview. I didn't think of it so deeply then, and accepted to conduct another face to face interview. I showed up on time and told the receptionist that I am here to meet with Kristen for a second interview. Kristen then met me and looked surprised that I was there. She mentions a position to me in a nonchalant manner "there is a customer service position that came up, I can submit you for that." Then discusses with me about the position, and it aligned well with my skills. I told her I'm interested and mentioned I am actively looking for a job and hope to hear from her soon. She told me, "oh you sure will hear back." And I never heard back from her. read more

Select staffing sent me to a minimum wage job aware it was a temporary assignment and then told me he got a bad email about me and they did not want me to come back and then asked me if I was racially motivated it was but I am training then they stopped me at a Nother employer and they told me it was going to be $14 an hour for a kind a hazardous job to your body and then they said no once you're there they sent email it's $13 an hour then the people that work there were only getting like $12 an hour $11 an hour so they got mad and then because racially I am the wrong racial heritage all bad every day half hour extra work everyday no compensation racial jokes and physical and verbal threats from supervisors and verbal from employees management and select Staffing wrong and illegal on every level completely unprofessional and unacceptable on every plane of professional business Get into a a business you can do period that doesn't discriminate or categorizes people racially Great job people read more

I would not be recommending this temp agency to anyone. They are very unprofessional and the receptionist is very rude. This temp agency does not even take a look at your online application unless you ask them (ridiculous) when my resume is included and does not forewarn you about their policy of having to work in the previous 6 months or they can't give you work and then turn you away. Readers I would not waste your gas and time going to this place not worth it. There are way more highly professional temp agencies in O.C. this is by far the worst I have gone to or experienced. Temp agencies are suppose to find you work that is the whole point of going there, regardless of your work history gap in resumes. So unprofessional!!!! read more

I met with Shelly Pulido and some and Yolanda and Sophia, excellent crew at the office located in Irvine at 16525 Von Karmen Ave. in Irvine, California. First off I wanted to say what a pleasant experience I had, Shelly and the entire office are so friendly and they are dedicated to making the office a very positive and productive office. I went in for a pre employment drug screening and general meeting and I was so impressed with the HIGH level of excellence they convey there at that office. I am thankful my employer uses them because they are such a blessing to me, thank you Shelly and Yolanda as well as the others whom I didn't get your name but you equally are amazing! So in the beginning working with Select was a great experience they were nice and friendly. And I have to admit they did find me placement but a few things went down that proved to me that they were really just out to make a buck and are not really concerned about the people they place. I am very close with my now full time boss but when I was still on contract I got another offer from someone and told Select about it. Behind my back they told my boss that I was leaving before I could even tell him myself. Needless to say he told me he was very disappointed that I did not tell him personally. I specifically told select that I would inform my boss myself. Imagine working for a boss that straight up told you he was disappointed in you. How embarrassing is that?! My boss and I have a great relationship now and I'm employed full time but just one of those things that showed they really just wanted accounts and could care less how the people they employ look. What they dont get is the people they employ are reflections of them. So when the back stab someone they place they really are hurting themselves also. I was getting paid $18.00/hr through them but my company was being charged $29 so make sure you negotiate! read more

Michelle Tejada dropped the ball on my background check and it cost me a decent job. The background check was supposed to be back in 3 days, it's been 12 days and nothing. The employer decided to go a different route. To make things worse, she won't return my calls or e-mails. This was in the Irvine office and I have to assume that the other branches are just as inept as this one. It makes me wonder where they find these so called 'recruiting experts'. Very unprofessional and incompetent. It appears that they are unable to keep up in a fast paced environment, which is crucial in order to serve their clients needs. read more
