I left today because of the class size; it's much too big for comfort, and might not be safe. I mentioned this to the person who oversees the gym a few years ago, but nothing has changed. There had been a class added but that was discontinued. I understand that they will bring it back one of the two days, but the Monday class still is super crowded. A few years ago I tried a yoga class and the instructor kept correcting me in front of everyone. I mentioned that one if my legs was slightly crooked. The instructor stopped the class immediately and did a breathing exercise to get rid of the negative energy in the room. Needless to say, I didn't continue that class. The women at the front desk are excellent! But that's not enough. VERY disappointing. They can do better.

The staff is kind, welcoming and knowledgeable. I read a review about the owner being arrogant and clueless... couldn't be further from the truth!!!! He's a real good dude. He didn't know me from a can of paint and my first day walking in with my son, he took the time to explain what the facility was all about... introduce me to staff and get my son in a league within a days time. He has the right mentality in today's world of tech, gadgets and lazy kids... He has brought New life to the word "Pick Up Basketball" Our kids are playing basketball daily! They are being physical daily!!!! His focus is on the kids , their development and most programs are available at No Cost. It bothers me to read a negative review of this place because I can see first hand what the venue and environment has done and is doing for my son. His confidence, technique, BBall IQ, network, friend circle and overall game has grown and improved. He puts the work in and shows up everyday. If by chance the courts are being used he heads over to the turf for a half hour or so and works on conditioning. I challenge anybody writing a bad review to show me a better environment centrally focused on kids development and hoops. Nobody is dragging a volleyball net or playing pickle ball on the courts!!!! it's Hoops from the minute they open til the time they close. I know you can't please everybody and there will be challenges and mishaps every now and then I'm realistic to know we are all human but if you walk into this place there's an energy that's happening that you want your kid to be a part of if they like hoops. As a professional in the basketball industry for over 25 years I know what I'm talking bout. Before you can hoop at any level you must have the confidence in your ability as a player. The commitment this place has to making sure the environment you step in is committed, controlled, motivating and educational is unmatched. I'm in the building w my son 4 to 5 days a week (if my schedule permits) if you don't understand what I wrote above, holla at me and I can explain it in person. D

Liberty Fencing Club is a special place--the fencing itself is great, but the environment is warm…read moreand inviting in a way that isn't common in the fencing world. Marshal Davis and the other coaches have managed to create the kind of club where you can quickly feel you are part of a community of truly diverse ages and experience levels, from kids to adults, and Marshal's (successful but friendly) students from Swarthmore College will sometimes come by too. If I were looking for a place to start to learn fencing, this is where I would go--the folks at Liberty train their fencers to learn fast and hit the ground running, though you'll receive all the appropriate guidance along the way. Liberty also hosts tournaments every week, and I highly recommend trying one out. I've found the atmosphere to be low-pressure and collegial, while still working hard to fence well. When possible, they like to run a 45-touch relay after the regular event, with both fencing and social benefits. TL;DR: Solid fencing, diverse group, welcoming and fun.
