I cant believe there's not a review for the excellent physiotherapists in McLean so thought I'd be the first. I had previously gone to another large physiotherapy chain but felt like a number. Noone was particularly interested in listening to my concerns and questions. They were capable sure but impersonal. I searched around until I found this Office. I've done rehab for my knees (twice), back, hip and a major foot surgery at this Office. I've had the very experienced and calm Kate, the bubbly and energetic Jacqui (who became a great friend ,albeit tough!) and I have observed Kassidy's humorous, yet no nonsense approach with the children and elderly. Every therapist has their regulars and fans in this office and they are all well liked. They have assisted me get my mobility back many times and both commiserated and encouraged me when I've had set backs. All have assisted me with my questions on pain, home rehab equipment and exercises. I've had disastrous emergencies and Ciara,(hmm hope its the Irish spelling) the incredibly helpful and efficient Office Manager, has kindly fit me in. She's also photocopied medical records by the ton for insurance and personal files. The first appointment is an evaluation and goal setting session with measurements taken for records. Thereafter the first 20 minutes or so of future appointments are manipulation and then surpervised exercises on the Office equipment. Note this is not a one on one segment as the next patient is arriving for manipulation. As most of these have to be repeated at home the therapist will explain and observe and correct but there is a responsability on the patient to be very self motivating. Believe me these therapist know if you've been working at home or just say you have! If your insurance doesn't pay there is a self pay amount charged of approx $120 I think. You can have your appointment reminders texted to your phone and its always advisable to book many at one time as the physiotherapist get booked very quickly.Criticisms? It would be nice to schedule the session slightly longer in the manipulation stage by about ten minutes but thats a corporate decision. If you're in pain and are looking for experienced and understanding physiotherapy in a very nice environment, the Mclean Office is a great choice. I just finished the McLean 5km thanks to them and will be scheduling my next foot surgery confident that I have a team of capable physiotherapist to help me again. read more
