Over time, he approached me about hosting. What was included in the hosting was never made clear and after countless attempts, I still haven't gotten clarification. I was actually trying to pay Hunter more money to tune up the website and such. He was incredibly difficult to get in touch with. It was normal for 5-8 emails and voicemails to go unreturned in a row. He didn't seem to want to take the work. After a full year of paying $40 / month for hosting, I informed him that we no longer needed his services. This is where Upward has earned the 1 star.... I received written acknowledgement from Hunter that we will no longer be charged for hosting. That never happened and he continues to charge my credit card at will. Months later I'm still being charged. They provide no option to self service cancel. I have been patient with him, but none of my calls and emails are returned. I have to decline the credit card charge each month. Hunter seems to be fine with that. It going to lead to further problems with Upward Web Design. Buyer beware.

All of the content was copied & pasted from other sites they have build and everything was AI generated so nothing was original, which all of the AI search engines will completely ignore due to their algorithms. The contract was not completed in the time the promised. They charged for monthly SEO but did absolutely nothing and wasn't hosting my site so there was no way for them to be actually be "working" on anything SEO related. They hounded me for the monthly SEO fees they were charging but the communication was non existent and their performance was severely lacking. I had an independent IT consultant review everything, present all of the findings and at the end of the day CI Web Group was proud they took advantage of a soldier and didn't want to be honorable and refund my money for a project that didn't meet promised timelines but most importantly the quality they promised. What they charged in comparison to what they delivered is what is called highway robbery. Please think twice about doing work with this company.
