We also asked for a sewer cleanout, but the cleanout was of a smaller variety than they were expecting and the promptly refunded us the difference. My husband met with the inspector and got the 411 directly from him and we were very pleased with his performance as well as Scheduling and Billing. They were down an employee due to maternity leave and Julie the Co-Owner went the extra mile, promptly calling me back from the car making sure that our call was treated with importance instead of me having to wait too long when I could have moved onto another company I was given as a referral. I had called another company after leaving a message that was cheaper but it was a nationwide corporate company and I prefer Mom & Pop operations as there is often more attention to detail, accountability, flexibility, agility, they are better at answering questions and in my opinion rarely say "I don't know" if they can help it. They strive for the best customer service experience. I don't mind paying for good service. Blackland was the 1st choice recommendation from our Arlington Area Realtor and for good reason. Knowledgable, Great Communication, Thorough, prompt, Honest and A great value. They will answer your questions and will be honest with you when they can't. Great Inspectors, you can't go wrong.

A…read morecolleague gave me the name of the home inspector she had used for a recent home purchase, which resulted in my connection with Josh. I called him that day, and he spent time with me on the telephone, answering a barrage of questions for me, and educating me on the path of inspections. Not only did he explain things regarding the buyer's inspection on our new home, but also answered questions from a sellers standpoint on our current home. Graciously, Josh agreed to meet me at our prospective home within 48 hours of our initial phone call. Our agreed meeting time was 9am, and when I arrived at 9:00am he was already there working. To say he is incredibly thorough would be a gross understatement. He spent 6 hours on our inspection, and brought to light things I likely would have never noticed. He left no stone unturned, and was informing me throughout the process of his findings. I left the home feeling confident that we would have a comprehensive report within a few days. That evening, a 35 page document appeared in my inbox, with photos and a detailed explanation. Moving forward in to the closing date of our new home, I am confident that there will be no surprises, and I will recommend Josh to anybody who will listen.

I did some research and this company was very fairly priced and responded very quickly to phone calls. The inspectors name is Satari Shaw and he is incredibly professional, friendly, helpful and great at communicating. Satari was able to come out with just a few days notice and made me feel very at ease during the whole process. He also hired a termite service on my behalf to handle that inspection while he was there. He explained the areas that he had found so far and rated them on importance. He showed me the items that would need to be taken care of quickly and the ones that maybe were a little less major. His report was incredibly detailed with pictures of the items showing what he was noting in the report. Satari's above and beyond customer service came a few weeks after my initial inspection. Satari gave me his cell number to call if I had any problems or questions which was great. I called the day I moved in because my movers were convinced that they found foundation damage. I called Satari immediately and he left his daughters dance recital to come to my home and check out what they were mentioning. Turns out the movers were COMPLETELY wrong but the fact that Satari took time out of his day to put me at ease was incredible. I would highly recommend Another Look Home Inspections to anyone.
