All these extended service contracts are the same. Deny 99.9 percent of claims. Do not buy this warranty! This is a scam company and should be run out of business. They work harder to deny claims than they do to serve their clients by a long shot. We purchased their "Platinum" full coverage warranty for a used GL63AMG. John Davis, Claims Specialist, communicated with us regarding a misdiagnosis of a broken motor mount as identified by Mercedes Benz of Littleton. John Davis agreed with our assessment of the misdiagnosis. He closed the old claim and opened a new claim number. He instructed us to take the vehicle to another shop for diagnosis and if that shop found that one motor mount was broken, the claim would be approved and processed. John indicated that video and pictures would serve as sufficient proof. John also indicated that the lower repair price should make this approval simpler and straightforward. The quoted amount from Mercedes Benz Littleton was approximately $7,000 for the motor mounts only. Krumer Auto quoted $2,800 to repair the motor mounts. Krumer took video of the diagnostic process as requested and demonstrated that one motor mount had failed and the motor was unstable as a result. Krumer also saved the parts to show Select Auto Protect's inspector. Select Auto Protect's inspector did not show for the appointment made with Krumer initially and showed three days later after contact from us. Krumer Auto could not continue to occupy the repair bay with our vehicle waiting for an inspector and ensured the repair was documented. The inspector reviewed the video and inspected the parts. He agreed that the motor mount had failed. Both Krumer and us were present during the inspection. Additionally, Krumer demonstrated that the differential had failed and he provided the failed parts as evidence. The inspector indicated he supported Krumer's diagnosis and would submit the claim for approval. The inspector also indicated to us that he had inspected work at Krumer Auto in the past and had high confidence in his work and integrity. During this process, Select Auto Protect's claims department was slow to respond to phone calls from us and the auto repair shop for status. When trying to contact John Davis, an admin answered all calls and we never received a response from him. Their claims department deliberately delayed the inspection to deploy the ruse that work was completed before inspection and not approved. We placed multiple calls to John Davis for clarification as the denial did not line up with what he told us and he refused to respond. We are suing them in small claims court. read more

Do NOT make the same mistake I did and fall prey to one of Select Auto's salespeople. They are nothing more than glorified telemarketers. Nothing represented to me was truthful. I purchased the Premium policy to cover my Land Rover Discovery Sport and when I filed a claim for parts listed in the policy they denied coverage in its entirety. For example, my vehicle needed front brakes. The policy clearly lists coverage for front/rear brakes, but the claims department denied coverage. This company operates illegally in many states where sellers of vehicle service contracts are required to be registered/licensed by state insurance regulators. If you are in one of these states, your contract is invalid. You, essentially, purchased a piece of paper that has no legal meaning, you were defrauded even before you had a claim. Check their BBB rating. All other review sites the only positive ratings talk about purchasing process and all negative - about Select refusing to pay. When I called, the managers and supervisors would not take calls leaving phone staff to take the heat. My experience with Select Auto Protect has been horrible. I purchased a platinum warranty over a year ago, several weeks ago our vehicle had a transmission problem. I had a tow truck bring the vehicle to a nationwide transmission company. Select Auto Protect was immediately advised of the claim. I received an email soon after asking for maintenance records, which I provided asap. That was the last I heard from Select Auto Protect - I called them almost daily and got no updates or answers. the shop manager called me a week later and said an inspector had been by - I finally got through to someone at Select Auto Protect who told me I would have an answer on claim status within 24 hours of the inspection, that never happened. I went back to calling them daily and 3 weeks in an employee told me they couldn't approve the claim without inspecting the transmission after it was pulled out and opened up (and then had the nerve to claim they were waiting on my authorization to do that, they didn't mention that when I called the day before.) I authorized the tear down and was told I would have an answer on the claim within 24 hours - nope, it was another week (5 weeks total) before they told the shop manager that the claim was denied . I didn't like that of course, but what was worse that this company has refused to provide information on the reason for denying the claim and has refused to put me in contact with any kind of supervisor more more than 2 months now. THE ABSOLUTELY WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCE!!! These guys are a joke. They will not pay for anything to be fixed. They always say its not covered. I paid 2750 for a 100k mile extended warranty. I might as well just ripped my money up. I told them I wanted to cancel my warranty. They told me since I was past my 30 days, its prorated, I have to pay a $25 cancelation fee and another $250 admin fee. This company denies all claims. I have a DEF heater assembly and steering gear need to be replaced. There were several items that show needing to be addressed. Some show gaskets and sealants. They say they do not cover gaskets or sealants. The two items above do not have anything to do with gaskets or sealants. They denied everything. When I brought this to their attention they said it has already been denied. They said they would call me to discuss it. That was a week ago. I have called them daily with the same excuse "the person I need to speak to is busy. They will call me back". In the meantime time I am without my truck. Not to mention it took a week to get their inspector a week to get the repair facility. I paid for their Platinum coverage. Hello, I have had the displeasure of dealing with Select auto protect on 3 different claims and they have not covered even 1 repair. Today I started a repair claim with them and right away they told me that the parts were not covered even though they are listed as included on the (platinum warranty). So, I was warned, but I guess I disregarded the warning. Due to it coming from another insurance company. Telling me that they are a scam company and once they get your money. Contact stops. I purchased a warranty through them 2 years ago and I finally tried to use it last month when my challenger engine started knocking. 2 different shops said the engine needs replacing, so they sent out 2 different inspectors who told them the same thing. Select auto agreed but only covered $1000 dollars of the $5000 cost and I have the platinum package. After doing some digging I found out that 3 people work for the company. If I could give evasive stars I would. I purchased a platinum plan 3 years ago and never had to use it until my engine started to knock. They made me pay for the teardown of the engine then sent an inspector out twice to look at it then agreed that the engine needed to be replace but they decided to only cover the replacement of one piston. This is after I sent all the maintenance records proving that I've taken care of the car. Call crown dodge in Pascagoula MS and ask them if they use this warranty company if you don't believe me. My lawyer did some digging and found out it's owned by 2 brothers Mat and John and it's a scam. Of course, once they have your money, they can say whatever they want or not speak with you. Either way, you will be screwed! Called to cancel and they gave me an email address to cancel. First email, got a response back stating they needed an odometer reading. 6 emails thereafter and no responses back at all. Wasting time so they don't have to pay or deplete your prorated warranty term to pay back minimal. I purchased the Platinum AutoSelect Protection plan June 2021. They refused to pay for a transmission failure September 2022. My car has now been in the shop for over 3 weeks waiting for approval to replace the water pump and a thermostat. Select Auto Protect keeps delaying. They won't answer the phone. They say they're sending an inspector to the dealer to verify the repairs but they don't. I have sent them all of my repair documents showing all oil changes etc. They do whatever it takes to NOT pay. This company is fraudulent. Toward the end of our conversation, he said that he is putting his cell on speaker and asking his staff to listen to our conversation but Davis does not have any staff. Be aware that they offer a 30-day money back guarantee but you cannot have any repairs until you reach day 30 AND 1,000 miles. After making two payments I was denied a fuel module repair on my Audi. The repair totaled less than my two payments already made combined. They denied it stating that the module was not covered under the fuel system. The warranty lists vaguely that the fuel system is covered on their top tier Platinum warranty. When I requested my money back they only offered to provide one payment back.
