Besides showing continents, it has drawings in the margins depicting scenes of native animals and native people, many drawn as one might expect in 1719, as fearsome creatures in a strange new land. The map comes mounted on a pair of beautiful cherry wood slats, a presentation style which I feel is more authentic than a common picture frame.
