The inn keeper, the food and the rooms are all excellent. Lori (innkeeper) even call us to let us know we left some items there and she mailed to our home. we have been to many b and b's and this ranks up with the best

I cannot sing enough praises about Scott, Tari, and their beautiful home. I came to Oxford for a…read moreconference in November at Miami U. I'm a city girl, and I was wary of going to an unfamiliar and very rural area, but as soon as I stepped foot into the bed & breakfast, I felt immediately at home. The first night I got there, it was pouring rain and I couldn't see well. I parked in front of the house and Tari kindly told me I could leave the car there until the morning and she showed me around and made me feel immediately at ease. Tari and Scott actually live off of a little road towards the back of the house, but they are within walking distance of the house and always accessible by phone if you need anything. The house is absolutely stunning and comforting, and it has all the amenities you could possibly need. Tari and Scott take great care of the house. It was always in immaculate condition. The furniture and fixtures are beautiful, and there is a fully stocked kitchen (you can take any of the food for the day free of charge--granola bars, crackers, fruit, deli meats, cheese, baked banana bread, bagels, tea, coffee, juice, soda, bottled water, wine, and more!). I practically ate an entire banana bread loaf that Tari baked during my stay because it was so delicious, and of course Tari and Scott will serve you a yummy breakfast every morning upon request. I had some of the best night's sleep in the room I stayed in too. Each room has its own thermostat and there was a comfy down blanket that I slept with every night for the three nights I was there. My drive to Miami U. each morning was less than 5 minutes, and every time I left the conference, I was excited to go back to the house! Tari and Scott are very kind and personable. They truly care about their guests' comfort and happiness. I highly recommend staying here over a hotel. The rates are comparable, and you get so much more from staying here. If I ever find myself in Oxford again, I will for sure stay here again.

This B&B is in a classy home, tastefully restored, with stained glass windows on a gorgeous wood staircase. My wife and I stayed two nights for a weekend getaway. The entire place is very clean and smells wonderful. There is a hospitality room for all guests on the second story, with a mini fridge, microwave, and water dispenser. We made use of the mini fridge and microwave to store and reheat leftover dinner. It would have been nice to have coffee available, as well as tea bags, and/or complimentary soda or bottled water. We were provided with yummy desserts on both nights - lemon sugar cookies and then pound cake. Breakfasts are good - plenty of fruit, orange juice and coffee. The entrees were a kind of quiche in a bowl and French toast. Our room on the first floor (Room 1) was cozy and clean and warm, albeit small. The size of our room didn't matter to us, because we were the only guests on Friday and could wander the house and relax in the sitting room to read on a rainy day. The B&B is within 5 minutes of several fast food, local and chain restaurants. We did not explore Richmond too much, but it seems there are nice parks in town and plenty of classy homes to drive by. Within the B&B, there are only a couple board games, but they do have satellite TV in every room. There are several DVDs for borrowing, but our room did not have a DVD player. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, which was relaxing and stress free.

We wanted a place close to several Southern Ohio Points of Interest and it is very well located to Hillsboro, Bainbridge, Pike Lake State Park, Rocky Fork and Paint Creek. When we arrived, we were greeted by Jane & Doug - the proprietors. We immediately felt at home and loved the whole place. We stayed in the Rose Room, which was great. The room was comfortable, large and the bathroom was nice too with a great shower! We spent time with Jane & Doug talking and learning about their farm and getting a tour of the entire house Doug has built for them - what an amazing talent he has for woodwork. It was interesting to learn that the wood used in the house from trim to floors came from trees on the property - most of the wood had never left the farm. The house has tons of room for much larger groups and I could see us taking other family & friends for a weekend getaway in the future. We walked the property, which was really beautiful and even got to go on a golf cart ride a couple of times. There were homemade chocolate chip cookies and milk in the evening and in the morning Jane made us a true farm style breakfast that included coffee, orange juice, eggs, sausage, stewed apples and homemade scones - YUM! One other treasure is Luke, their 4 year old Golden Retriever, he only added to the warmth of the experience at this secluded getaway. My wife and I have travelled all over the country and stayed in dozens of places during our 22 years together and I can say on behalf of both of us, this place is a treasure if you are looking to get away, relax and meet some very nice people. You can visit or disappear to a cozy chair and read a book or take a nap - the experience can be whatever you decide to make it. We left feeling like we'd known them for years. Thank you Jane & Doug for a wonderful visit, we hope to see you again in the not too distant future.
