I've been a patient in this office for over 25 years. I see Dr Savino and have, on occasion, seen…read moreDr Arpia as well. Both are outstanding. They unfortunately don't take my insurance but I go here anyway and pay out of pocket because when you find a Doctor you trust , you don't leave. The current office staff is excellent as well. Dr Savino listens , cares, and takes as long as you need with each visit. The other plus is that you never really wait a long time for your visit. I think generally, the wait is maybe 10-15 minutes , if that. Obviously, things happen when it's longer but that's very rare. I always recommend them. Best Doctors on Staten Island as far as I'm concerned.

Office staff rocks. Always return calls and/or emails right away and they are also very nice. I see…read moreDr. Arpaia and I think he's wonderful. He's extremely thorough and listens to his patients, which I think is sometimes lacking with many medical professionals. He recommended testing for something just by looking at me and turned out he was right but thankfully it ended up not being something very bad (I prefer not to give my medical history which makes this sentence read awkward lol). Basically, he's just an awesome doctor and I can say easily the best I've encountered in years. I travel from Brooklyn to see him bc I will no longer trust anyone else with my medical care (I realize BK to SI isn't far but there are tons of doctors in Brooklyn)

Daft Dr? Biased Dr? I am deeply disturbed by the…read moretreatment I received by Dr Mark Brandon who practices in an office at 11 Ralph Pl on Staten Island. I sought him for a second opinion by the urging of my Physical Therapy Doctor for a left shoulder injury I have been experiencing since June of 2020. The MRI that was done found a non-displaced tear as well as other degenerative changes. At the initial appointment that was on February 3rd seemed promising due to Dr Brandon stating that surgery would be required, Dr Brandon gave me an injection in my left shoulder and I thought to myself at last something will be done about my shoulder. I also told Dr Brandon about the great difficulty I was having with my left hand and although I went to physical therapy as well as occupational therapy there was no improvement with my shoulder or my hand. Dr Brandon suggested that there may be something other than my shoulder that's causing the difficulty with my left hand. Dr Brandon sent me for a MRI of the Cervical Spine and gave me a referral to see Dr Cohen who is a neurosurgeon. I asked Dr Brandon that since he stated surgery that will he be taking care of me? Dr Brandon's response was "I guess so" in a not so positive tone. I told Dr Brandon that I would need him to fill a temporary disability form that my job has required me to have completed, Dr Brandon stated that he would not fill it and that I can return to work. I explained to Dr Brandon that my position and duty requires me to do alot of documentation which I cannot do due to the great difficulty with my left hand. Dr Brandon says let's see what the MRI of your Cervical Spine and Dr Cohen's findings will be. Needless to say I was sought of optimistic that finally I would get the help I needed to get back to normalcy. The appointment with Dr Cohen the Neurosurgeon on February 12th and the MRI results of my Cervical Spine proved to be alarming due to findings: There was evidence of some multi level degenerative changes with variable degrees of spinal canal as well as multi level disc herniation, in other words I have bulging and herniated disc in my neck and spine. So now I have three things going on with me, left shoulder, hand and neck/spine. At this point I am worried and scared.I had a follow up appointment with Dr Brandon on March 4th, as I am waiting I the exam room for Dr Brandon, I'm thinking finally we can get to scheduling for the surgery of my shoulder. Dr Brandon comes to the exam room and his first words were "I don't do surgery for that part of the shoulder for people over 40". I was shocked that Dr Brandon said to me, then Dr Brandon proceeded to say that I don't have a tear or a Frozen Shoulder and that it all stems from my neck. At this point I am bewildered that Dr Brandon did a complete about-face for the surgery and then Dr Brandon said the people who did the MRI on my shoulder was wrong and he knows how to read the MRI better that the those technicians, I said to Dr Brandon, you did not see the disc which I happen to have with me. I gave Dr Brandon the disc and he put in the computer, he seemed to looked at it, however his position was still the same, Dr Brandon states that is no tear and to go back to work and keep my follow up appointment with Dr Cohen. At this point I am frustrated that Dr Brandon would say these things when I thought he would do the surgery, and say that the MRI, the first Orthopedic surgeon and the Physical Therapy Doctor was wrong, wow. I went to the front desk to ask for my medical records of my first visit and today's visit, the nurse stated I can pick it up tomorrow after Dr Brandon writes his notes for today. The next day I went to pick up my medical records from Dr Brandon's office and when I got home I began to read my medical records I was disturbed by what I read, In summary Dr Brandon stated that I don't have anything wrong with me and that I am not disabled and I can go back to work safely. This is not accurate at all! I have proof there are some great changes in my left shoulder as well as neck and spine, the MRI'S show this. I am under the impression that Dr Brandon thinks I am trying to commit some kind of disability fraud which is not the case at all! This is temporary disability through my job that they required me to do. It's as though Dr Brandon does not believe me I am in great pain and I am having great difficulty with my left shoulder and hand. I feel that Dr Brandon is biased, I not like his treatment of me at all. I firmly believe that the color of my skin is the reasoning for Dr Brandon's treatment of me, I have heard this all too often, that people of color are not believed or taken seriously when say that we are in pain or we feel something is wrong with our bodies, like we are trying to scam or commit fraud.
