I went in for my dogs last day of life. The doctor was so kind and respectful of the whole process. He did an amazing job and I would go again. The front desk was a bit slow to assist us and too smiley for my taste when I was distressed, and they knew it. read more

We checked in at 2:00 they close at 5:30. The receptionist mentioned the wait time would be longer @ 5:18 they told myself and 2 other people that also had been waiting since 2 that we wouldn't be seen The right thing to do is let the customer know right off the start that they might sit there 3 hours and not get seen. 15 min to close we get told 'oh sorry come back tomorrow. we can't make an appointment it's first come first serve" yet that's not true either a man with a big dog checked in hours after us and was seen and left by 5:20. Horrible service . You had a senior waiting longer and also sent her away . Maybe stop asking for new patients when you can't take care of the ones you already have. read more

So hard to find a caring vetinerian as it is to find a human doc. This country homestead is the most sought after vet in the area. Unfortunately, they are no longer accepting new clients, "...We sadly had to make this decision to ensure we can continue to give the best care possible to all of our patients..." They remember who your dog is like a family doctor. *Walk-ins stop 20-40 before lunch and before closing. read more

Selah Veterinary Hospital - Umm... - Veterinarians Near Me - Selah, Washington

my rotty pup Bear was neutered recently and the dog was nearly choked to death as the technician dragged him by his leash... so much so that his eyes are very very red around pupils now I have been coming to this vet for years but this is unacceptable .. you need to talk to tech about NEVER DOING THIS AGAIN... ever!!! I was not much better because I was crying and not helping the situation.. however his eyes better clear up and turn white again or I will be paying you a visit I even brought a cheesecake because I felt so traumatized by the event and felt terrible... but her dragging him literally out of the car BY HIS NECK and NOT CARRYING HIM has injured his eyes VERY BADLY I am extremely upset by this read more

Stop taking me as a client because of my mom, even though we are two different people but because I was related to my mom, they stopped taking me as a client and I think that's really rude because I don't even live with my mom but because of her past and her owing a little bit to them they turned me down and anybody who is related to my mom they were very rude and now I have no place for my animals wouldn't recommend going here read more

Be very careful and save ALL receipts. We have been customers for years and have spent thousands in there and due to their shoddy accounting they "misplaced" quite a few payments. I took in proof of payment, they said it was fixed and then closed our account and are still trying to charge us the full amount. So we are left without a vet for our families many animals due to no fault of our own. Even if it is their mistake they will not work with you. Beware! read more

we Love Dr. Jess and all the staff. they have been looking after our animals for years now. You do have to be patient because they are always very busy and it's first come first served unless your having a serious medical emergency. there are vets way closer to my home but I chose to make the drive there because I know that my pets are getting the best care from Jess and the staff. I don't know where I would go if they weren't there. read more

They sent me to the back of the line because I left with my ticket during their lunch break like come on man, seriously? Great veterinarians office, poor service. read more

I take all my dogs to Selah Veterinary Hospital to get their teeth cleaned. I am very pleased with the technician that performs this service, she is great and is so nice. The front counter staff are also very helpful and nice. I have only to complain about the reception area because it is so small and crowded all the time. I worry about the lack of control over the animals with the small area. I have only had one person at the Vets that is rude, she needs to go! If I had to take my dogs to another Vet I wouldn't be able to afford the costs. Thank you Dr. Beksinski, for starting this fabulous clinic! read more

Great Vet and support crew. Dr Mike is very straightforward but understands how we feel about our pets. Great balance of doing what you can reasonably do for their health and comfort. read more

We love it here. Walks ins only which means you can wait, but great price and great staff.

We love these guys. You do have to be patient because they are so busy. Just walk in for shots, no appointment necessary. I don't think they are accepting new patients do to how busy they are. read more

We have been taking animals there for years, has been up and down with the quality of care for the animals. But they are close, then treatment today to just pick up some medicine was rude, only one person in the waiting room at a time, there is no way of knowing unless you enter the waiting room from outside, I was waiting out side and people were walking past me, and entering the waiting room, after 15 minutes I enter, and the one women was just leaving , and another couple walked out from the exam room, then a employee comes out and tells me to wait outside for the one person at a time rule, so waiting another 15 minutes or more, as two more groups of people Walk past me and enter the room, and after listening to the people inside talking about personal business The room is clear to enter. The line of people outside is long and hot, the two employees inside at the counter not a concern about all of the people Entering and leaving, more than 4 People at one time during my wait outside but they needed to ensure I go outside and wait. IF my dog did not need the medicine I would have left and never to return. Adding this up With the problems of the past, this vet clinic does what they want because they are the only one in the area. Poor customer service read more

We just moved here from Bellevue, Wa. friends told of this Vet so we took Oliver in to up date is shots. Everyone was extremely kind and so helpful. We would highly recommend going here even if you live in Yakima as we do for it is a hop skip and jump away and so worth it. read more

They were not excepting new patients. Chose that place for our new puppy and was refused without being asked what was wrong. Possibly a good place if you're already a patient. Don't bother going if you have never been there before. read more

We moved away. Came back to Selah. Our dog is injured and can't walk. Told they don't accept 'new' patients. I said even in an emergency (as my dog is yelping in the background because of back spasms). We literally are 1/2 mile from this "hospital" she then said nope and hung up on me. Would have been nice to get a recommendation or referral to somewhere else. Even when you are busy, customer service should come first. Checked the reviews, only 3-5 stars get on the reviews, Yelp shunts anything else to a second page that says 'not recommended review' then explains why the poor review are moved following a strict process. I gave them a three so it would show up in the reviews. read more

Selah Veterinary Hospital scanned my dog's microchip and did not contact me. They allowed the person who took my dog in to take her home. They did not attempt to call me to ask if she was missing or if she was vaccinated. read more

I began taking my dogs to Selah Vet Hospital on recommendation of a few people who said they were good vets with competitively low prices. For basics like vaccinations, fixing, checkups, they are great. They are walk-in only though, so be prepared to wait as they're very busy. The front desk staff is extremely busy between phone calls and in-person customers, and with the "family-business" feel of the place, you may often have to wait longer in line, as receptionists get chatty with customers they know well. This can be frustrating, but again, possibly worth the wait depending on your needs. More recently though, I have become much less of a fan. For the last year, my sweet Chihuahua has become increasingly ill with a host of symptoms. Not knowing a lot about dog health issues, I TRUSTED that the vets knew what they were doing. I wish I hadn't!! My dog was diagnosed incorrectly, and over the next several months she continued to get worse and despite bringing her in several more times (and seeing every vet doctor there), I was told sometimes these things take months to regulate and to just wait it out. Through my own hours of research and determination NOT to let my dog suffer more, and her illness progressing to her nearly dying from it, I finally demanded a blood panel (something they never thought to do in the many visits prior) and xrays, and she was admitted for a week long intensive treatment because things had gotten so bad. Over $1000 later with more follow-up testing to go and the many medications she's now on, this has been a very expensive ordeal. But more disturbingly, I've had to watch my little companion suffer so bravely for months for NO GOOD REASON. A simple blood panel months ago would've prevented a good majority of her suffering and our expense!! The one ray of light in all of this is Dr. Baek, who has treated her from her near-death to what seems a steady road to recovery For listening to me and trusting my instincts, and for properly treating our dog, he has my deepest gratitude...and is the only reason I gave the 3 stars. Regarding all the other vets at Selah Veterinary Hospital--well, all I can say is, "Owner Beware". read more

We love all the Veterinarian's at this clinic. They treat our puppy so well. They are friendly and efficient.

We've been taking our Bull Terrier Ruby to this clinic since she was 8 weeks old, Ruby is now 7 months old and had recently broken her knee, everyone in this clinic from Kellie and Jordan in the front to Dr. Patricia in the back have been nothing but kind, loving and caring to our girl Ruby! They're very considerate of our needs and always respectful to us and our family. I highly recommend this clinic! read more
