There might be more than one See's kiosk in LAX, but DON'T go to the one in front of gate 133. The Japanese lady was very rude and I was shocked! I love to bring See's candy as gifts for my friends overseas but I will never buy from this location any more. She ruined my first day of long trip...

Oops, ate a few already.

See's candy is one of my favorites. I love that they sell 8 ounce boxes now. A couple pieces is all I needed for my chocolate craving. My favorites are the dark ones and anything with nuts. Although we can find See's in Texas it never tastes as good as what we get in California.

We have been coming here for mochi since I can remember…read more My son's favorites are the chocolate , Dodgers , and the little rainbow bites . There are so many traditional and modern choices and flavors. Yes there's also fun Japanese candies as well! Everyone is so nice and welcoming. We love the mochi here!

I don't think there is necessarily any single flavor that is a must-try (though I haven't tried a lot), so you could be best just choosing flavors that naturally appeal to you. I also don't have a tier list because there's somewhat of a language barrier and a lack of description when perusing their selection. You're best pointing to something that looks cute and just hoping for the best. Also, since there's usually a line to order, you feel bad when you're holding up people. Luckily, I think most of their mochis taste good due to their delicate mochi exterior and well-balanced bean paste fillings. They even have some that are filled with chocolate or other things, and some topped or mixed with fresh fruit. I generally hate red bean desserts, but I don't mind these because the paste is super smooth. The paste is maybe a tad sweeter than I'd hope for, but perfect for the average taster. Parking is pretty annoying since this area is popular. Fresh mochi really will not keep well, and are very prone to degradation, so they will only last a couple days after purchase. Honestly, this type of dessert is not exactly a thing that you'd crave for, but more of a cute, quirky enjoyment that we should continue to support just to keep it in circulation.

I love coming here…read morebecause they have such a huge selection of Swedish candy, from sweet and sour gummies to marshmallow candies, chocolate, and so many different flavors and textures. You can literally take your time walking around and pick whatever catches your eye. They give you little white shovels to scoop the candy into your bag, and then your bag is weighed at checkout, so you pay based on how much you get. Just be careful because it is VERY easy to fill up your bag, especially when you want to try things you've never had before. I have a few favorites, and I definitely recommend coming here if you want to try something different. I also like that you can collect points and get money off once you accumulate enough. The Studio City location on Ventura is in a great area with other dessert spots nearby, so you can definitely make a little treat run out of it. I would bring friends or guests here, and if I had kids, I would absolutely bring them too. I definitely recommend KANDI if you love candy. Just know that once you start scooping, it can be very easy to go through an entire bag by yourself!
