Greeted very nicely and we strolled around for a little bit- they have several sugar free options which is very nice I treated myself to a bag of dark Chocolate covered cashews - oh man - a little pricey but worth it. The cashews are high quality covered with tasty chocolate and have just a hint of salt! My new favorite snack ! You can still just pick a few chocolates out which is nice - I wanted dark chocolate molasses chips but can't be trusted with a box so I was able to get a few I am glad the quality and customer service is still high here read more

Once you've had See's chocolate, nothing in a grocery store will compare. I've been getting it for decades, and the quality hasn't changed. I don't go often because, well who needs to eat chocolate all the time, and it is on the pricier side. I for a little less than half a pound of assorted chimes (about 10 pieces) and it was $14. So definitely not an all the time thing for me. I went here on a Friday afternoon after a holiday and it was a little busy. But they got us moving through the line at a good pace. I also didn't feel rushed as I wanted to take the time to find my faves. I wish I got the cashiers name because she was so sweet. In cares someone from the store sees this, she said she started working there early November and she wears glasses. The Team Members are always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. See's candy is our favorite guilty pleasure, it's the best. The selection at the stores is always plentiful. Prices are high, but it's worth it. Please make the toasted scotchmallow a regular option. read more

I used to come in and get every family member a whole pouch box each year for holidays, now everything gets 1/2 because it's so expensive, worth it for the quality, but pricey! Came in on a Saturday afternoon, place was pretty busy or at least seemed that way for how small it is inside. They have a variety of pre packaged items to grab and go or you can go in the line to make your own box with a variety of chocolates. If you make your own box it's weighed by pound and can get a little pricey. I grabbed some new lollipops (strawberries and cream, orange and cream) as well as a Bordeaux egg as their Easter candy was out. My mom grabbed the same flavor egg and a marshmallow egg and we got my dad some sugar free candy. The line went pretty quickly and we got a sample to chose from when we checked out. The round one is a scotchmallow (dark chocolate covered marshmallow with caramel) and the other is a milk chocolate butterscotch. Both are really good, if you have a sweet tooth! read more

This See's Candies is awesome. There are plenty of boxes to choose from. The candy has always been fresh. Customer service was always great. My only complaint is that it's in a very busy shopping center, which can be hard to find parking sometimes. I consider myself a chocolate connoisseuse, having eaten some of the finest here in the US and abroad. And, I do have some faves, reviewed elsewhere. But, for its consistent quality, immaculate stores, friendly staff and ubiquity (there are convenient Sees everywhere!), nothing beats See's. On this torrid day in Valencia, the spotless, cool, and sparkling white See's store had a huge cheerful "Open" sign that I couldn't resist. We had run low on our standard (another brand, with no stores in the SCV) and was perfectly happy to entertain getting a box of See's instead. There are dozens of confections at See's, always in stock, with festive new seasonal offerings and wrap, all year long. They are open seven days a week, from early to late. Being dark chocolate lovers, we stuck to two dozen dark chocolates with soft centers this time. Among the amazing flavors (more than could be squeezed into a box), I chose dark chocolate with butterscotch, maple, Bordeaux (how cool is that!), buttercream, salted caramel, marzipan, coconut, Café Au Lait, chocolate chip (dark as well) truffle, and peanut butter centers. Yum! The price is so reasonable that you walk out with a King's ransom worth for pennies per. Love you, See's, stay this way and forever. read more

The almond coated with chocolate and caramel is the best, the place is nice and smells so good, the staff is friendly, but sometimes people (customers) take FOREVER to decide what they want, oh my gosh, so maybe they should give a menu to the people that aren't sure, so they can stay out of the line while they decide and only go to the line and order when they are sure about what they want, not making the other people that want to buy waiting for so long. It is pricey I'm not gonna lie, so be aware of that. read more

I actually haven't had sees in yearssss unless it's a for a fundraiser or a gift given to me but this year my husband HAD to take me in to try some and I tried all of the coffee/mocha chocolates and now I'm obsesseddddddd! I get their assorted chocolate boxes as gifts all the time, usually during Christmas. I also get their lollipops as gifts as well. At See's some of my favorites are the following: Chelsea (creamy soft center with chocolate liquor and pecans, covered in milk chocolate) Milk Bordeaux (creamy brown sugar soft center, covered in milk chocolate) Milk Almond Peanut Butter Pattie During our visit, there was only one lady working and two parties in front of us. It took a while before she got to us, but gave us some free samples while we waited. We ordered a dozen pieces of chocolate and it came out to approximately $13. I'm taking off 1 star because overall I always find their chocolates to be too sweet for my taste. I also dislike the ones with the orange cream or cherry filling inside. I probably have a different chocolate palette since I grew up on British and Swiss chocolate. Chocolates are absolutely amazing but staff is hit or miss. Sometimes they are friendly and sometimes it feels like you are a hassle to them. If staff were more friendly this would be 5 stars. On top of that this place goes through spurts of being busy and times of absolutely no one there. There is more than enough staff to serve customers so I wish it were a more welcoming feeling here. Also to offer a piece of chocolate as a sample and then request another type is not a big deal but sometimes made to feel like it is. I am not going to give See's a 5 star rating it likely deserves. It is very expensive and even though iconic in SoCal the cost is way too high. My wife came in and bought me a surprise, a box of peanut brittle. (Yes...yes...I know it's not chocolate people no need to shout.) One of my favorite memories of my dad is the peanut brittle he would buy at a local store in the small town in Texas we lived and how we would share it and shoot the breeze. Well I don't buy candy much anymore and since he is gone I like to hold onto that memory so every once in a while I will get some. So when my wife asked if I wanted something I told her peanut brittle (now don't you feel bad...). She brings home this dinky box that costs $11.00 and gives it to me. Now granted the peanut brittle made by See's is likely made by the devil because it is very tempting, however $11.00 is way too much money for such a small amount. I will just keep the memory of dad and me and also keep my $11.00 and change. But I will give you the stars for making me smile that day. read more

I visited Sees Candies in Valencia, CA a little less than 2 weeks ago, and was assisted by Ana. She was so helpful and kind, and assisted me with my selections in the most professional manner. After making my selections, she then showed me all of the sale items - which I purchased a few [great sales tactic- it worked ;-)], then proceeded to remain so delightful when processing my purchases. There is nothing better than See's Candies. The tradition of Sees has lasted almost 100 years now. There have only been minor changes here are there. Despite being owned now by Berkshire Hathaway, they still make candy the old fashioned way and it comes through in their product. I love this location in that you do not have to enter a large indoor mall to get to them. Getting in and out is a breeze. The people inside have always been as friendly as can be. They even let us pick our own free samples, another See's tradition. I think everyone has heard of See's. If you have not, you really need to stop in to one. read more

It's almost Valentine's. Which means chocolate. Now to me, chocolate is chocolate. My wife, however, says: Rule #1: "There's good chocolate and there's bad chocolate." You enter See's. First thing you notice is everyone is eating chocolate. Like chocolate eating zombies. Which is weird. Till someone dressed like a nurse from a Tim Burton movie startles you and says, "Here's some chocolate to eat. While you shop for chocolate." You eat it. Now you're one of them. Rule #2: "Good chocolate doesn't come from Ralphs." If you know what your wife likes, you can stand in a long, slow moving line and eventually "hand pick" her favorites. Hahaha. Yeah, right. OR you can just get a box of preselected chocolates. Which is much easier. And it comes in a heart shaped box. Rule #3: Is Halloween candy bad chocolate? "Yes. I mean no. All chocolate is good. It's just that some chocolate is waaayyy better." (Which seems to contradict Rule #1.) Bottom line: There are way too many Rules. Just go to See's. read more

Bright, clean, white and CHOCOLATES! The ladies were so nice and cheerful here. We were in the area visiting and spotted this store! Scotch Kisses please! It's individually wrapped in waxed paper and it's honey marshmallow dipped in caramel. I love everything about it. The texture of marshmallow so fluffy and buttery from the caramel, just melts in your mouth! I also always enjoy the free sample that they give you just for visiting. read more

The candy here is great. But the service is a joke. These ladies run around in circles behind the counter as if they're curing cancer. We waited over an hour just to get a box of chocolate. I saw an old woman almost pass out from sunstroke because she was waiting so long. Sees herself would be ashamed if she knew what her business had become! I love this store! Free samples and smiling faces. What is not to love? My favorites are the Peanut Crunch and California Crunch. The nuttier the better in my book. My husband likes the opposite, he likes fruity and creamy so he tends to lean towards the truffles. No matter what . . . I recommend going in and indulging in these California based chocolates. Valentine's candy was delicious but They got my order wrong. I got a customized box and I never asked for lemon truffle chocolate and a peanut butter candy but somehow they ended up in my box. every time we want see's candies at home in Vegas, for some reason the fates do not allow. SO, on vacay in Valencia... we decide that we must hit up a see's candies or fail. we stepped in to the familiar yummy smell of chocolate and immediately dispersed to our favorite sections of the store with the usual black and white decor and walls of displayed boxed candy. this particular store is very clean and the attendant was warm and friendly, asking us if we'd like to sample anything.. and to let her know if we needed any help or have any questions answered. she was patient and informative when we set up a pound of happiness.. we did not fail our see's candies mission and came out successful. this 35.00 we spent will satisfy our fix for a looong time. :) thanks valencia see's! read more

I love See's Candies. I pick up a few treats here a couple times a month to give as gifts or even for myself! The staff is always so friendly and happy to offer a free sample (which I love). The staff is very knowledgeable about the product they sell. My favorite is to get an assortment of individual pieces for myself. The pre-packaged boxes of assorted chocolates are the best to give as gifts. They do not offer a restroom for guests. And they are not open very late. There is plenty of parking. My review isn't for the candies it's for the servíce my sister and I received today from a young lady named Ayrin. She greeted everyone nicely but she was not a customer service person! She made us feel as if we were bothering her because we were selecting individual candies. We felt like she was upset when we asked for anything. She never offered to wrap our candies with our choice of wrapping. When we got home she didn't even put stickers to keep it closed! The Sees candies in Canyon Country has awesome customer service!
