It was very unfortunate how the girl clerk treated my mother…read more When I went in to the empty store besides my mother who was creating her boxes, the clerk rudely talked down to my mom, acted as if it was SUCH a bother to help her- as my mother picked out her candies to fill the custom boxes. When my mom paid the clerk didn't even thank her, just directed her to slide her card. Then I too purchased an item, and the clerk handed me my change, and she walked away. I said to her: "Thank you- but - is it all you do is transactions, and no 'Thank You's?' " she said "What?" I repeated it and then she just stared with a blank stare. So I said.."A 'Thank You'?- is that too hard to say to myself and my Mother? She then said, "Oh have a good day?".(reluctantly) I then said "You were very rude to my mom!". She spent over $130 Someday she will be old, and may not hear 100%, I hope she is never treated like that. We will not be back.

Having just talked about some fun little holiday gifts for our mail carrier, dog sitter, and handyman, it seemed the perfect thing. Been a long time fan of See's Candies going back many years. The shop is small - I'm guessing it's starting out as a "seasonal shop and let's see how we do" sort of thing. So the only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is we were really hoping for the candy case with all the yummy individual candies that See's is famous for. But the staff were super nice, and the selection for holiday gift goodies was very good. Prices are, well, "candy store" prices - not "dollar store prices" but you'd expect that from a quality brand store like See's. I really hope they stay on and build out the full "See's Candies" experience that so many of us know over decades. Nice little store.

I was recommended for it by an acquaintance and I was in the mood to do some incense stick shopping a few weekends ago so I finally paid my first visit there. What a cute place! I love it! There is all kinds of spiritual or metaphysical items and some things that are there just for the sheer fun of it. They did not disappoint in having a good variety of incense and Steve bought an absolutely beautiful reflective Crescent Moon incense holder. It's so beautiful I am almost afraid to use it. They have a great tea and book section and all kinds of candles. But the thing that was a real extra bonus was their chocolate section. They have a small counter in which you can pick chocolates from out of the case. We each bought an espresso chocolate and a coconut chocolate and they were so good! I don't know the back story with the chocolates but it wouldn't surprise me if the owner made them themselves. The chocolates are certainly local for sure and not associated with any large candy company. A really fun and rewarding stop! I will have to make more deliberate points to go here. If nothing else a quick stop for more of those chocolates!

After trying several of their baked goods at local coffeeshops in Tacoma area, I discovered an…read moreopportunity from social media that they were having a pop up at their own brick and mortar baking kitchen, with collab with local coffee, Civic Roasters, a few months back. I know they do not have regular open hours for just walk in purchase, but rather, they're custom order type business, but I have yet to place any custom orders so I cannot speak to that experience. What made me write this review is how accurate the owner (Brianne) described cake and desserts in the description and the baked goods taste matched 200% of the description. The pistachio cake was out of the world, so was the whoopie pie!!! I got to meet Brianne in person and she was very friendly, and was kind to explain everything about each of her baked goods she had out that day. I've tried their baked goods from pop tarts to cookies to housemade Twinkie and the creation and taste are unmatched. Single serve baked goods were more on pricier side, but well worth every bite. I would definitely order custom baked goods from here, knowing the quality and taste of products from this shop!!! Currently, you can find Spilled Butter baked goods at Cosmonaut coffee, Outer Dark Coffee, and at Tacoma Farmers Market (also known as Tacoma Broadway Farmers Market) from time to time. Enjoy!!!

Their drink menu is…read morehuge-- with awesome customization options that include having no ice in your drink (a $.75 charge), and they sell a 24 oz size. The mochi donut flavors that I saw were : funnel cake, churro, taro, cookie butter, and coconut fudge. You can order using the self service kiosk and use Apple pay, which I prefer to do. Menu prices are about the same on DoorDash, which is great considering there are sometimes huge markups to balance out their fees. (Cost): $4.85 + tip (Location): It is in a very busy shopping area near Trader Joe's and Safeway. There is plenty of parking, but the area gets extremely packed, I prefer to park a bit away and then walk there. The area is very nice-- I would describe it has middle class to upper middle class. I love how beautifully decorated this shop is. Seating consists of a medium size couch, two benches, some seating by the widow l, and a table with 3 chairs. (Service): Excellent! Despite being busy working on items, the employee greeted me as I entered and was very polite when he gave me my order. What I didn't like was how rude one of the delivery drivers was. He greeted them and they simply shove their phones in his face without saying anything after yelling for him to come from the back. I hope drivers like that learn some manners or are removed from the shop. (Food): 16 oz Thai Tea Creme Brulee (5/5)-- according to the self checkout machine this drink is quite popular and I can see why! It was the perfect amount of sweetness, and the boba wasn't too soft or firm. I only wish I had gotten the bigger size.

You get points each tike you visit, which will eventually add up into several rewards. (Food): Vanilla Cupcake (5/5)-- I chose the most basic cupcake ever, but I had already purchased sweets elsewhere and didn't want to overdo it. Even so, this cupcake was absolutely divine! The cake texture was soft and the icing was smooth. The icing was quite sweet, so I did take a little off, but I definitely would've eaten it all if I weren't trying to limit my intake.
