Entrance, sorry, I didn't get the name lol

This was my first time going to this specific See's candy shop. Very small but it was fully stocked! They had all the guidelines and arrows for a safe experience and had a sign for capacity (8 unless you work there). I went to get the sugar free dark chocolate. I wanted to order online but they're always sold out. They had a good amount as well as other goodies, too! I waited in line and waited on the little circle that was on the floor for social distance. The cashier was very nice and friendly! It was quick with no contact other than giving the chocolate back to me. The cashier area was covered with the see-through dividers and they all wore gloves.

No longer able to order online custom pieces for pickup. If there is still a way it is extremely hidden and difficult to find.

It had a really inviting layout upon entering. I loved that the retail shelves were filled and nicely organized with bars and various chocolate treats available for purchase. There's also a vast selection of individual chocolates in the glass case. I was kindly given a salted caramel with dark chocolate couverture to sample while I wandered the shop. I also filled out an entry slip for a chance to win a gift basket filled with hand crafted, single origin chocolates valued over $300. It was nice to see that their chocolates have been award winning too, seeing awards on display from years past. Shout out to the retail person onsite that day. Very pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable. I was also given a product sheet where it was noted whether in stock or not and seasonal availability. I bought chocolate treats for others, and a 73% dark chocolate bar for myself. Highly recommended!

I'm so glad I tried it because I hadn't been planning to get anything but once I tasted it, it had me SOLD. I was so sad when I finished the bar even though I was savoring it like Charlie from the Chocolate Factory book BUT I'm buying a whole bunch for my family's stocking stuffers for Christmas (they each picked out their own flavor and I'll order them all together) and for my own Christmas presents, hehe. So excited to try more flavors but mainly, to have my favorite brown butter chocolate again! Really high quality chocolate, have never experienced such a rich and complex taste in chocolate that melts so beautifully in my mouth. Normally I'm a die hard dark chocolate fan but the brown butter milk chocolate is so rich that it gives dark chocolate vibes. PS Thanks to the sweet cashier for changing my chocolate life forever!!

Marketing at best- designed branding and upscale look. That's how they can charge triple. Profit margins of middlemen example. Their tea from Africa is probably the best gimmick here, note: order extra hot (which you will get lukewarm) don't order cold it's horrible. Anyhow we are tea drinkers in nature and didn't get any sense of aroma. It might taste better if you fool yourself that the owner isn't American, up to your judgement ;) I know because I have good friend from Kenya. Many authentic women/minority for good cause out there that you can prove. Gimmicks are everywhere be careful. My recommendation for loose tea to take home; Tea is originated in Asia- here in Beaverton there are great options 1. Asian market for Oulong, Jasmine, Puerh, or 2. Apna Indian market for Chai, or 3. Uwajimaya for authentic matcha, Genmaicha, etc. Educate yourself go get a real deal. You pay a lot less for good stuff plus organic options, get air tight tin containers from Michaels, best consume within a year. And honey from farmers market is real local. Don't be fooled. Talk to the people who make things, not the repacking business. Afternoon tea? Invest in a set of tea pot, order British earl grey, grab pastries from New Seasons and do better yourself or if you have a lot of money left grab a flight to London, skip the fake expensive ones. Warn you.

Their sign said they had hot chocolate and tea, and I thought to myself: ... who can say no to that? The first impression of the shop was good. It was cute, clean, and spacious. On one wall you got array of tea on display, and on the other side you have the tea station along with a chocolate display case. Anne (with an e!) was there to greet us. She briefly introduced herself and explained what they had to offer today. Unfortunately the chocolates were very popular, so the case was a bit empty and we didn't get to try them. We ended up getting two Lavender Fog lattes and they came in super cute pink cups. My cousin was really impressed with the foam on top, since it was super fine and she just loved it! I also enjoyed my London Fog as well. However, If I can give one bit of feedback, I'd love to be able to control the sugar level. The tea latte was good, but it was so sweet that it muted my sense of taste a little. I understand that everyone has a different preference for sugar level, but I have been on a low sugar diet for years. So I think it would be very beneficial for a customer to order full/half/low sugar to their individual tastes. Otherwise the tea latte was nice and warm, and the flavor was enjoyable. Personally I'm very interested in doing high tea with my girlfriends. It sounded like it'd be a fun experience. Also from what I'd heard from Anne, they serve sandwiches, treats, and chocolates, soup, salad and unlimited tea. I don't know about you, but that sounds like a dream to me! If I ever try their high tea, I'll post about that experience too. Like many reviewers have addressed, this shop opened during the height of COVID. Anne told me it was (and still is) really stressful and difficult to keep the business going. So, if you are into tea, chocolate, good company, and/or supporting black owned businesses. You should definitely check this place out!

He took the time to go over his favorite teas and answer any questions we had about ones we were interested in. I'm not a huge tea fan and I really enjoyed the one I got (birthday black tea-decaf). The food was so yummy! Our party were all so excited to try everything. The vanilla scone was the standout for me, but I did truly enjoy everything. My only caution is that parking can be a bit of a headache in the area so be aware ahead of time, but do not let that stop you from making a reservation for afternoon tea, it's worth it!
