She was also such a pleasure to get to know. My bridal henna took 5.5 hours and the end result was worth it! My henna came out with a beautiful deep stain just in time for my mehndi party the next day; and the color stayed on for 3 weeks after! My guests also really enjoyed having Arati and her second artist there to create beautiful henna designs, and everyone's color stain turned out so well! Arati should be considered for any henna event - she is a great artist, detailed, fast, and so sweet to work with! Thank you Arati for making my wedding week so special with my beautiful bridal mehndi design!

She fully accommodated my request for my dogs to be included in the designs and did my sister's mehendi the same night. She also provided great tips for darkening the henna like applying sugar syrup onto the henna, drying the henna over stove top with cloves, and using gauze (not Mefix) for leaving the henna on overnight. The next day, she provided over 15 party guests with mehendi (the line was long because everyone was eager!) and was willing to stay extra time to make sure everyone received designs. She provided me and my guests with lifelong memories. My mehendi was so beautiful, I couldn't stop looking at the designs throughout my wedding. I highly recommend Arati for all your bridal and party henna needs. She will be the first vendor we contact for my sister's wedding. Thank you, Arati! :)

That honesty and flexibility made the planning process so much easier. She took the time to understand exactly what I envisioned for my bridal mehndi and created a design that was even more beautiful than I had imagined. She came on-site a few of days before the celebrations to do my bridal henna, along with designs for my mom, my friend, and small designs for my husband and dad. She took so much care with every detail and never rushed, making the whole experience feel relaxed and special. My bridal designs came out absolutely stunning -- intricate, elegant, and exactly what I hoped for. Loli uses natural henna and she provided clear after-care instructions. The stain developed over the next couple of days into a very deep color that everyone kept complimenting! (Pro tip: get your henna done a few days early for the darkest stain.) One thing I really appreciated is how thoughtful she was even after she finished -- she stayed and took photos of all our henna, which was so sweet and gave us such special memories to look back on. We also hired Loli for our Haldi + Henna event so our guests could get small designs. She coordinated and brought additional artists, and they were all punctual, friendly, and incredibly talented. Our guests loved their designs. Loli is communicative, organized, and truly an expert at her craft; she's also a great person to chat with! I highly, highly recommend her!

I held my mehendi party 3 days before my wedding ceremony. I was SHOCKED at how dark it came out by the time of my wedding! Swati is very professional and punctual. On the day of the mehendi party, she came, quickly set up, and got to work. My mehendi took around 7-8 hours to get done (hands up to the elbows, and feet up to a bit below the knee), and Swati did not complain once during that time. I was so impressed at how focused she was during the time. She is also very sweet and kind, and we had pleasant conversation while I was getting it done. I had asked her for peacocks at the top of my design, a paw print with my dog's name, told her I liked reverse negatives and a symmetrical design, but other than that I let her do whatever she wanted. I HIGHLY recommend it, she is a true artist and came up with the most beautiful and intricate designs. It was stunning. By the time of my wedding, it was EXTREMELY dark. I got so many comments (especially from the in-law's side of the family) that it was the darkest they had ever seen. I took extra care though to do the post-mehendi care and maintenance that Swati had recommended - it's well worth it (warming your hands on both sides over the stove, Vasoline and coconut oil, avoiding water, keeping it on overnight, etc). She had also applied a lemon mixture during the day of my mehendi to make it dark. It also lasted so long, it took almost a month for all of it to come off, and was still extremely visible 2 weeks after (especially the feet/legs) I cannot recommend Swati enough, she is amazing!

She was on time, prepared with her kit of artistry, and the experience and professionalism just literally oozes off her. I learned that she honed her craft in Bombay (I can't bring myself to say Mumbai :-) ... and has well over a decade of experience. It shows because she absolutely knows what she's doing. Her demeanor and presence is not only confidence inspiring, she is a human well worth entrusting whatever body part you're giving yourself over for the henna package lol :) I had never ever in my 61 years, ever had henna done and was stoked, besides myself and excited to supernaturally epic proportions to get it done! I barely could sleep the night before and had no idea what it would be like. What I especially appreciate about Swati is her focus and of course, steady hand! She's not distracted nor casual about her process, she's conscientious and pays such close attention to detail ... she took the time to ask questions about what I wanted, and because it was my first time (henna virgin is how I referred to myself :-), I didn't have a lot of requirements, just a few. and during the process, she inquired several times to make sure I was gonna be happy. She also reviewed instructions plus a stack of her cards, on the back, gives clear directions for henna aftercare, which I followed to a T, and boils--below are photos immediately after the henna application, and also 18 hours (overnight) later! They did both hands and feet for me with stunning designs, clearly incorporated what I said I was looking for, and worked SO quickly. They finished (admittedly smaller than some bridal henna I've seen, only to just past my wrists) in maybe 2.5 hours, and took another hour/hour and a half to complete 8 or so smaller designs. Their pricing was extremely reasonable, much less than other artists and the quality was unbeatable. I left the paste on for about 4 or 5 hours, but the paste was getting itchy and I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep with it on, so I took it off after that time, and still got a beautiful dark stain that lasted for about a week. If it makes sense for you, I definitely recommend scheduling your henna in the morning so you can leave the paste on for more of the day to get an even darker stain, but mine was gorgeous even after just a few hours.

I got Roopa's contact from a friend who had used her services before, and I am so glad I went with her. Roopa took time to listen carefully to understand who I am as a person, what I wanted, and how to make the event "me". Before I say anything else, I must say, everyone at the party said "this is all so YOU", and I have to thank Roopa and her team for it! She helped me engage the DJ (amazing person!), photographer (very sweet) and decorator (super talented). She coordinated every single detail with the venue, designed the floor plan, made sure everything was ready on time. The most challenging part of this event was the live plant decor, and fitting that within my budget. Roopa and her decor person put in hours of work to get the plants I wanted, down to the last leaf on the photo booth - they refused to compromise on anything! My guests asked me how I was so calm throughout the event - and I have to give a lot of credit to Roopa and her team. They were constantly in touch with me, giving me updates and putting my mind at ease. I knew they understood me completely and put their heart and soul into making it an amazing event that people are still talking about even after a week! Overall everyone was extremely impressed, without a single glitch in execution. They commended me for it, some even said I should become an event planner and I told them all it was all Roopa's hard work, I only conveyed to her what I wanted and she made it happen. I do mean it that I put complete trust in her. Otherwise I am a control freak and a micro manager, but her calm demeanor and confidence put me at ease. Thank you SO much, Roopa!

There were two artists from Henna Bash at my event and they showed up before the event started. We provided a table & chairs for the guests and artists. Many people weren't aware of their service, thus I had to tape the henna designs onto the table. There were two different colors of henna offered. Since our skin is lighter in our palms, it's best to do the henna tattoo there. When you get henna done, you'll want to avoid washing the area until it fully dries. My henna lasted about four days. I got many compliments from people and told them to check out Henna Bash. I'll keep Henna Bash in mind for my future events.
