From our very first conversation, Lolitha was kind, professional, and incredibly accommodating. One thing we really appreciated was how transparent she was about her pricing. She was upfront about costs, worked with our budget, and helped us find options that fit our needs without ever making us feel pressured. That honesty and flexibility made the planning process so much easier. She took the time to understand exactly what I envisioned for my bridal mehndi and created a design that was even more beautiful than I had imagined. Every detail was intricate, elegant, and personalized, blending traditional elements with a modern touch that perfectly matched our wedding style. On the day of the mehndi, she made the entire experience so enjoyable. She worked efficiently without ever compromising on the quality of her artistry, and her calm, friendly personality helped me relax and truly enjoy the moment. The henna stain developed into a rich, dark color that lasted beautifully throughout all of our wedding celebrations, and I received countless compliments from family, friends, and guests. Our guests also loved their henna, and Lolitha was patient, organized, and made sure everyone who wanted a design had a wonderful experience. If you're looking for a talented, reliable, and genuinely caring henna artist in the Bay Area, I wholeheartedly recommend Lolitha Popuri (@Loli_Henna). Her artistry, professionalism, transparency, and willingness to work within our budget made her such an important part of our wedding celebrations. We're so grateful we chose her and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for beautiful, high-quality henna. Thank you, Lolitha, for helping make our wedding memories even more beautiful!

She came on-site a few of days before the celebrations to do my bridal henna, along with designs for my mom, my friend, and small designs for my husband and dad. She took so much care with every detail and never rushed, making the whole experience feel relaxed and special. My bridal designs came out absolutely stunning -- intricate, elegant, and exactly what I hoped for. Loli uses natural henna and she provided clear after-care instructions. The stain developed over the next couple of days into a very deep color that everyone kept complimenting! (Pro tip: get your henna done a few days early for the darkest stain.) One thing I really appreciated is how thoughtful she was even after she finished -- she stayed and took photos of all our henna, which was so sweet and gave us such special memories to look back on. We also hired Loli for our Haldi + Henna event so our guests could get small designs. She coordinated and brought additional artists, and they were all punctual, friendly, and incredibly talented. Our guests loved their designs. Loli is communicative, organized, and truly an expert at her craft; she's also a great person to chat with! I highly, highly recommend her!

They did both hands and feet for me with stunning designs, clearly incorporated what I said I was looking for, and worked SO quickly. They finished (admittedly smaller than some bridal henna I've seen, only to just past my wrists) in maybe 2.5 hours, and took another hour/hour and a half to complete 8 or so smaller designs. Their pricing was extremely reasonable, much less than other artists and the quality was unbeatable. I left the paste on for about 4 or 5 hours, but the paste was getting itchy and I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep with it on, so I took it off after that time, and still got a beautiful dark stain that lasted for about a week. If it makes sense for you, I definitely recommend scheduling your henna in the morning so you can leave the paste on for more of the day to get an even darker stain, but mine was gorgeous even after just a few hours.

Honestly our goal was to get the best "photos" for sharing on social media. We decided to give a try to Henna in SF. We live in Santa Clara and are usually busy in weekdays, but she agreed to come to us. One thing I really found amazing was the dedication with which Megha was engrossed in doing Henna. I don't know if that's usual for a task like Henna, but Megha was so deeply involved that she literally ignored most of our conversation. At the end of Henna, she apologized for not listening to us. This alone inspired me a lot and motivated to write this review. The result - picture attached. I will be definitely reaching out to her next year, or for any other festival celebration.

I yelped henna artists in SF, and after wading through a bunch of white artists, I finally found an Indian girl named Megha. I texted her and she got back to me right away, and I was able to schedule an appt for literally that evening. She was open to me sending her specific designs, but she also has a portfolio of her own. She came over to my place (but you can meet her at a coffee shop or something if you prefer) and it took her about 45 mins to do both my hands, and at a very good rate to boot! I paid $20 per hand which is a bargain, because her work is beautiful! She works methodically and has a creative eye for improvising and adapting to any design you want. Will definitely be holding onto her number for future urges ;) Thanks Megha for making this Pakistani girl happy! :)

She's super speedy and can finish a full hand of henna in 5-10minutes max - which is BRILLIANT! I've seen her work at an engagement and a bridal party now and both times most of the people were very satisfied. She's great with kids too and adds glitter for them during evening parties as well. I posted pictures of the front and back of my hands as they looked 48 hours after the henna application. For the full hands on both the left and right palm she charges $25 and for the full hands + veils on the back of the hands = $40. It came out pricey, but the henna darkened really well the next day and I only had it on about 4 hours. My only reason for docking a star is that the henna I use is much thinner than what she uses. I think the thinner henna honestly looks a lot better once the color has set in. My hands looked gorgeous when the henna was still drying on them, but now that it's just the color, I'm not as happy with the design/style. It's all relative though depending on your taste, so you can see the pictures and judge for yourself :) She's definitely worth hiring if you're looking to throw henna party for a good price and get reliable and quick service to please all your guests!
