Going to Dr. Trinh over the 3 years has changed after each appointment. First of all I understand…read morethat Dr.'s offices can be extremely busy and I know how to be patient. Dr. Trinh for whatever reason always wants to see his patient to talk about what they want/need. All I wanted was my immunizations for proof elsewhere and he wanted to talk to me, why I do not know. I opted to just pick them up. At his appointments you could be waiting up to 30+ minutes for him to show up in the patient's room. My last visit was what topped me off. I waited 45 minutes in the patients room for Dr. Trinh until I had to speak to a MA. Mind you, my appointment was at 1 pm and another patient was at 130. For whatever reason they decided the see the 130 patient before me. I waited 10 more minutes before complaining to the receptionist. The reason for this meeting was strictly to talk about my labs. Well nothing was out of the ordinary with my labs. He just wanted to tell me that. He's a nice guy but he's obviously overworked.

Three times myself or family member needed to be seen by dr Trinh on an urgent basis and was declined by his staff, we ended up going to the urgent care. I was scheduled for my physical three month ago, when I got to the office they said The appointment was not for physical visit and I have to reschedule (Physical takes about 45 min, regular visit takes about 30 min) the next appointment is a month and half later, I made the appointment for a later day, they called on the day of my appointment to tell me that the dr. Is out this week, you can either postpone for a later day In October or cancel. I was very upset of not able to see my family doctor for over a year. It is time to find another doctor

I requested an appointment that needs an urgent attention from a PCP. His MA was very kind & helpful. She was able to respond in a timely manner, & explained carefully the availability for Dr. Kevin. I was suffering from anxiety/depression at that time. Dr. Kevin is busy, but still took the time to make me feel like I was the only patient. During my appointment, Dr. kevin took his time & listen to every details that I say, he gave me time to open up while I was having a breakdown. I did not feel rushed at all. He would ask questions in between & try his best to understand the situation. One thing that stands out for me the most is that he always double check my medications before prescribing a new one. Due to my past medical history, this is very important. Because its rare to have a primary doctor that is well-organized. Also, Dr. Kevin never fails to offer me a referral, he will always make sure that I get more medical care that I need for my situation. The high level of effort was excellent!!!!! Not only that, I was very pleased with the manner which both Dr. kevin & his MA handled the illness that I have during that time. I have never felt like just a number to be dealt with & i'm sure that Dr.Kevin & his MA is the same with others too. Overall I have never seen a primary doctor that was real great & cared a lot to make sure I got well & better. I will be recommending him to everyone!!! :)

She was cold, distant, and did not listen to me about my problems or about what I needed considering it is a chronic problem and is well documented in my chart. I was there almost three hours before she decided to tell me she couldn't give me the treatment I would need and I should go to the ER. She couldn't have told me that wayyy earlier knowing that "the urgent care policy" wouldn't allow it? Not once did she apologize for the treatment or anything. Worst experience ever and would never recommend her!!

Effective June 1, 2009, I will be reducing the number of patients I am able to see in primary care so that I can spend a portion of my time caring for patients at the Urgent Care Center. As a result, I ask that you transfer yoru care to one of my colleagues in Family Medecine at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation's Fremont Center. That's it? A 3-paragraph letter and our relationship is over? I don't even get a phone call? Breaking up with your doctor isn't quite as painful as with a significant other, but it still stings whenever I read that letter. I'd taken special care in selecting Dr. Miller. I'd researched top medical colleges, then searched through my insurance's list of in-network doctors, and narrowed my search according to college attended, and years in practice, then finally ended my search on Yelp. And now it looks like I have to go through this whole process all over again. What if another doctor rejects me? Will I ever find "the one". Why does it have to be so hard? I feel so alone. I guess Dr. Miller wasn't the one for me. Things happen for a reason and I know the right doctor is out there.
