Making phone calls to ask questions or to schedule an appointment are so easy and fast. We especially love Ms. Donna who is so warm, caring and helpful! Dr. Rizvi is EXTREMELY patient, as she took her time to go over our old and current reports. She showed genuine compassion, concern and was helpful in providing a detailed treatment plan for us. She is quick to reply to emails and very helpful. Prior to finding Dr. Rizvi, our experience with another rheumatologist here in Katy was horrific. The doctor did not spend an adequate amount of time listening to our history before jumping to a conclusion for a treatment plan. She did not explain anything to us, as she was rushed and spent 1/4 of the time that Dr. Rizvi spent with us. In addition to the disappointment we had with this other rheumatologist, her staff was rude, hard to get a hold of, and overcharged us several times. Please- do yourself a favor by seeing Dr. Rizvi for all your rheumatology needs! She and her staff are so friendly, caring and helpful!

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the care provided by Dr. Farheen. I had concerns…read moreregarding new pains in my hips and knees, besides existing arthritis in my hands, feet, and ankles. I went to the surgeon who did my last hip replacement surgery because of arthritis. He had advised me my cartilage was damaged in both of my knees and told me since it was not bone to bone, my rheumatologist would be responsible for trying to stop my arthritis from getting worse. I called Dr. Farheen's office to give them a heads up that my surgeon would be calling to give her a consultation on my knees. I had an appointment already scheduled, but was I informed by the staff member who answered the phone Dr. Farheen would not take a consultation with my surgeon until I made a separate appointment solely for my knees. During this appointment, a staff member asked me a lot of questions but entered my answer incorrectly, refusing to listen to what I was saying. He put incorrect information in my medical notes. Dr. Farheen then entered the room and provided dishonest information. She informed me five times in this examination that she had referred me to an orthopedic doctor, which she had not. I had gone to my orthopedic surgeon on my own. And when I called to give Dr. Farheen a heads up that the surgeon would call to give her a consult, the staff member told me Dr. Farheen would refuse that until I made a separate appointment for the knees. Additionally, Dr. Farheen did not inform me before today that she had consulted with my surgeon regarding my knees when he called. That's something I should have been told. I am also unhappy with how my previous appointment with her was rescheduled and then cancelled with no notification to me. That is the appointment I had previously that I thought was still open I came today because I was told I had to make a separate appointment for my knees. When I said in the future please don't cancel or reschedule appointments of mine without asking me or notifying me first. This staff member dismissed my request. Dr. Farheen said I don't have separate appointments for the knees from the appointments for the hands. But that's not true I had to have the appointment today, I wasn't allowed to just keep my previous appointment and discuss both hands and knees and the feet, and ankles. She offered no apologies for any of this including her dishonesty, telling me she had referred me to orthopedic. What she did say is I have to understand her staff is trying and that is all that matters. Overall, I feel the instances above showing how dishonest Dr. Farheen and her staff are and how they are not in any way patient-focused are concerning. Patients deserve to receive proper care and treatment, dishonesty is dishonesty, incompetence is incompetence whether or not someone is trying doesn't matter when it comes to the patient's health. She also sent me downstairs for an x-ray, I was concerned about the moments of severe arthritic pain in my ankles the technician explained the order had nothing to do with ankles it was for feet only.

On 3 occasions I've requested my medical records to be forwarded to my primary. I've had to follow several times to get my meds records. My primary doctor and I have provided proper info. My primary Dr have faxed request that should have been in file with correct fax number I'm frustrated because Houston Rheumatology fax my med records to the wrong #, this is very personal info sent to a stranger I follow up asking about to fax my records several times why did it take so long for them to realize they fax my records to wrong # This information was provided in the beginning during the first year of my visit my primary dr and myself completed info to be place in my file My biggest concern it's very difficult to sit or stand for a longtime period and every visit for the past two years wait time is too long. Over an hour I truly understand she has many patients but scheduling appointments far apart may resolve this issue some. It's not fair to be on time and waiting in pain for over 1 hr 20 min. As a friendly suggest scheduling should be reevaluated and patient should be told when making appointments to expect a long wait. To get info from reception or calling that office is like pulling teeth

All the while Dr. Chimata would ask me follow up questions from my prior visit. This is being very thorough. I remember my very first visit, how Dr. Chimata ordered a massive blood work up. I saw a famous hematologist three years ago and he was not as thorough as Dr. Chimata. The office is very nice and clean, everyone wears a mask, I found everyone to be kind and attentive. My medications were already ordered by the staff nurse all while Dr. Chimata was finishing up with me. I'm very pleased.
