Out and about on a Sunday afternoon and I saw this place so I checked it out. Needing just a clean up on the brows I was sold with the price of $6.99. The lady worked fast even though there was only one other person in there and no other customers waiting. She did the job, I was happy with the results but you do get what you pay for when it is a bargain. $6.99 was a deal but there was no extra temple massage or aloe vera application. When astringent was applied she just used the same tissue that she handed me at the beginning of our process. I don't know WHY but I suddenly decided to give this place a try and now I'm left with ridiculously thin eyebrows and BONUS! a dent in my left brow. Lady inside that sits to the left in the front chair is the Rudest tech ever ( shoulder length hair, thicker but best eyebrows). She took too much off my left eye brow then wanted to argue With me about what she removed. I didn't argue just asked A simple question, never again will I come To this salon! Seema was my favorite for a long time at Vinita's. When she was preparing to open up her own shop, she whispered to me as I was handing her her tip to give her my number because she was starting her own shop. The only thing is, by the time she left Vinita's she wasn't really my favorite anymore. She started rushing through getting my brows done, and I felt like she wasn't doing as thorough of a job as she's done in the past. When she opened up, she called me as promised. Multiple times. To the point that I had to tell her "Seema, you called me already yesterday. And last week. And..." Since she seemed so dedicated on getting me into her shop, I went for the grand opening. Let's just say that it was good that they were doing free eyebrows for the opening. I've only gone back maybe once or twice since then. Seema's definitely fast with her work but she doesn't get every last hair. Also, the faster you move that thread, the more it hurts my face! And to make matters worse, i have sensitive skin. I nearly cry when Seema does my upper lip. Then again, this is just Seema. The moment I walk in, she recognizes me and tells me she'll get to me next, just like she used to at Vinita's. I stopped in on an emergency basis. I recently moved and had not had a single day off to take care of grooming. And then i decided to go up to SD for a conference on my only day off, so I was pretty frantic when it was 7ish and I still had not taken care of my grooming... Long story huh? Been meaning to write a review for here for a while, so here it goes... I've gone to Ziba's my entire life, with the same person for the past 6+ years. When it comes to my eyebrows, I am extremely cautious about trusting ANYONE with them. Any time I've ever chanced them with others, it has always turned out bad (well, except for one time, but that was a true emergency, and even then it was only a cleanup). Then I moved, and while I knew that there was Ziba's in Artesia nearby, I thought I'd try one last time to attempt to find someone, as the $14 fee (including tip) isn't fun paying every 2-3 weeks (in addition, I was really desperate too!) So, I found this place by Borders, and WOW, DID I GET LUCKY! Seema is AMAZING! She did my eyebrows perfectly really quick, and it was only $7! She is also very friendly too, and I've been coming back to her ever since. Also, Seema is very kind too - one time when I was coming home in the evening, with an important event the next day and my eyebrows needing to be done, I called ahead to ask if she was available, and she was, but she said that the shop would be closing in ten minutes. After I said that I was nearby, she held open the doors for me until I came, and I was SO thankful!!! Thank God for this salon and Seema, I am a patron for life! :) read more

I'm really bad at keeping up with brow maintenance lol. I know it's imperative to get threading done every 3-4 weeks or so (its hurts less if u keep up that routine) It had been months when I decided to bravely get threaded again. Well.. Seema worked her magic and I was very pleased with how delicate she was, and how it never once made me wince. I have thick brows (irish dude) so it's never been fun to get threaded. I went back to waxing for the quicker wham bam result with less pain ..but it never looked as good. My eyebrows look ON POINT for the first time in years really lol. Absolutely love Seema! I started off with Seema at Vinitas and followed her to her own shop! She is so gentle and patient. She knows exactley how I like my brows. Plus the extra massage is fantastic! Only complaint is now she works out of two shops, so it's harder to reach her. Despite that I'll keep going back, she's just too good! Try to stick to the person you like best. This is a review for their eyebrow threading! I came here once only because my brows were in need of threading and my usual place was closed..but I am never coming back! I don't remember the lady's name, but she was not gentle at all. I'm used to having my brows threaded, so having my hairs plucked out normally doesn't bother me, but she was just too rough. Also, my brows are naturally on the fuller side, so I was shocked to find that she had left the head/base of my brows looking sparse. The only thing that she succeeded in was keeping my brows' natural shape/arch, so there's one star for that. read more

This place gets 5 stars because compared to the other local option, Zibas, it's much cheaper and they do a great job! My sister and I have been coming here for a year and a half or so. Seema does my eyebrows and Sonya does hers. They both do a great job and will even throw in an eyebrow/forehead massage which is an absolute must for my sister. Although when we walk in those 2 usually know we are there for them, one day neither were there and we both got our eyebrows shaped by Reyna. This place is unassuming and hard to find.... I was looking for it and just happened to notice it when I was walking by... I think if I was somewhere else in the Towne Center, I would have needed to consult a directory to find this spot. On to the service - when I walked in, I was the only customer in the place - which kind of scared me - and the girls working there didn't appear to be actually expecting anyone - lol. This was the MOST painful threading I have EVER had! Seriously, it hurt! I think I had my teeth ground together the entire time. HOWEVER, having said that, it was VERY quick (so quick that I was sure when I was handed the mirror that I was going to have to ask her to go back and "touch it up"). I have to say, I was SHOCKED and how wonderful my brows came out. They look great, have a perfectly wonderful arch, and are still looking good 1 week later (that's my criteria - they have to look good awhile afterwards!). I think it was $7 or $8 - totally reasonable. Also - my little one was with me and when the girl that worked there was cashing me out, she brought out a candy jar and let my little one pick out which kind she wanted (after OK-ing it with me). Nicely done all around, SeemRen. So, basically, if you have five minutes, you can walk out with great looking brows, but you have to take a bit of pain for the convenience of that.... I've never had any issues, there's rarely a wait and they're fast. The brow stamp card gets you a free threading with every 10 stamps.. I came here 2 times before and was pleased with the way my brows came out. However, just went in today and was horrified by the way my brows were done. Having already been struggling with spareness and unevenness in my brows, I requested a clean up. While doing my brows, the employee recommended that instead of waiting for the other brow to grow out, she could make one like the other. I was okay with this because each brow individually was to my liking and the expectation was that the larger brow would have been threaded to look like the other. However, by the end both brows were half their original size, pencil thin! Not only are they pencil thin, they are not even the symmetrical. They were nearly gone and unfortunately I was mortified--still am. Growing brows, has been a lifelong struggle and I am disappointed to say the least. read more
