I switched to Sedona back in 2019 from a more "well-known" larger company. All I have to say is, bigger isn't always better! Sedona has never disappointed me, and that says a lot since I am a DIY guru. They arrive when they say they will; they are very fair with their price; and ALL the staff, especially the workers, are not only professional, but very friendly and down to earth. It's very sad that a business owner could do the following to a disabled person much less anyone else. I have given them every opportunity to make this right before posting this review. I have found it's impossible to leave a one star review for Sedona Waterproofing Solutions on Google reviews... and I also found that Sedona has multiple 5 star reviews posted by employees and family members on Google review.. Honesty? Integrity? (If anyone finds my negative review posted to Google reviews, please let me know!) I contracted with Sedona Waterproofing to mitigate the water I was receiving in my yard from uphill properties. Sedona billed me for and I signed a contract for French Drains but I received something called pipe and gravel, which was the wrong application and is a much less expensive approach for the contractor because it skips crucial steps and eliminates geofabric which prevents soil from clogging the pipes. When I contacted the owner within 2 weeks after the job was completed about this he told me if I "wanted it done right" I would have to pay more money, (I had already given them over $13,300). I told him I paid already to have it done right the first time. He then told me that to avoid paying more money I would have to remove the tens of thousands of pounds of rock out of the 500-600 feet of trenches in order to make the job easier for his crew to install the geofabric to prevent clogging. I am a disabled middle aged woman and not capable of that. At the request of my boyfriend (who lives in another state), the owner came out to my home about the job gone wrong where my boyfriend told him there was no way I was digging out the stones to make the job easier for his 20-30 year old male crew. The owner then offered us a 10 year warranty that our system would not clog which he is refusing to honor. Our entire system clogged within 3 months. At my own expense, I hired a civil engineer to evaluate the job that was done by Sedona, (I am happy to make this available to anyone who is considering using SWS to mitigate drainage on their property). In their report they could not find a single thing that was done correctly by Sedona's crew. Sedona Waterproofing Solutions is clearly not qualified to mitigate yard water drainage issues and should not take on jobs outside their scope of practice. I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint with regard to this transaction which I encourage anyone who is considering hiring SWS for yard drainage to read. Sedona's defense was ultimately that I was "harassing" them which is odd because I have had no direct contact with their company since August 2021. I moved into an older home. It has two crawl spaces. It is on a very wooded lot and built near a creek. I had hardwood floors put in downstairs and bedrooms upstairs. The entire home has hardwood flooring. I couldn't afford to have a damp house. The company came out, crawled under house, took photos, stated what was to be done in contract, and were very thorough with diagrams. What products would be used, warranties, etc. They were on time, on the scheduled date , and finished in 2 days. My home is 4400 sqft. They did a REMARKABLE job. I am very please. Todd (Owner) came out twice after being recommended by my neighbor to give us an estimate. I couldn't explain features and benefits as well as him to my wife so he said he'd come back out. The best part about his quote is you can pick and choose from buying a fully loaded car or a simple stick shift. This is not a YES OR NO QUOTE. Some items from column A some from column B etc depending on your issues and budget. His quote was reasonable, on time, fantastic service/installers at my home. Our house was built on a crawl space in 1955. There is a natural slope to our back yard - toward the house. When it rains, all of the water runs off the hill and rushes to our foundation. For the past 15 years (since we moved there), moisture has been penetrating our wall, causing mold and fungus, and creating water problems under our house. I have always HATED going under there for anything. It was muddy, smelled bad, and ugly. I had to go in occasionally and change our air filter - but avoided it as long as I could. Recently, I noticed that the mud was getting so soft, our HVAC unit was sinking into the mud - among other problems with our piers sinking, etc. It was a mess under there. Worse than that, the floor in our den was fully rotting and sinking. When you walked into the den, the floor actually sloped down where the wood was collapsing under us. I called all the big basement dry companies and got estimates from them. After seeing a Sedona Truck on the road, I called them as well. They came out and crawled around all over our awful crawl space. They brought out photos, drawings and a comprehensive plan to address our extreme water issues. Sedona isn't as big as some of the other companies, and they are doing some things a little different. Their presentation on what they would do and how they would be doing it was superior. I was completely impressed with all they had to offer. We set a date to get started and they came out with a very professional and respectful crew. Todd is very knowledgeable and knows the industry better than anyone I've met. Julian and Jake were "in the dirt" under the house for several days. Those guys and the rest of the team did a SPECTACULAR job of working under our house the entire time. They did a great job communicating with us what was going on and what their schedule would be. When they finished, I decided to go down and take a look. I had the surprise of my life. Our crawl space was now cleaner than the space above the floor. The temperature and humidity under there was exactly as it needed to be. The sump pump and the dehumidifier were both operating exactly as they should. They replaced the rotted subfloor in our den and lifted the floor back to level. Now we don't worry about our floor caving in any more. Such a good feeling. And the white liner they placed all along the ground and up the edges sealed everything completely. I am finally excited about going under the house. Heck, I might even camp under there now. Sedona did everything and more that they promised. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs work done under their home. Sedona performed a bait & switch. We were told we were getting and contracted for French Drains, however, they installed pipe & gravel (isn't that a breach of contract?). Pipe and gravel is a cheaper and less labor intensive job for the contractor to do and additionally it was the wrong application. They didn't even tell us. Isn't that fraud? They charged my girlfriend and I $13,338 for a job that clogged and ceased functioning within 3 months. To avoid having to redo the job the owner gave us a warranty personally guaranteeing that we wouldn't have any issues for a decade. Not even 3 months after the job was completed and a month after he sent us the warranty our drains were completely clogged with mud. He didn't honor the warranty. My disabled girlfriend, (who lives on a fixed income) hired a Professional Engineering firm who couldn't believe what was done to us. We have it in writing that everything done was wrong. We have secured multiple estimates from other drainage mitigation companies to repair the damage done by Sedona most of whom shake their heads and laugh at the work performed on our property. One actually asked if Sedona did the work because he "has to repair their work all the time" and encouraged us to look at their better business bureau complaints because there is one very similar to what happened to us. Also, because we are familiar with the employee names, we recognized multiple 5 star Google reviews by employees and family members. Seems deceptive to me. read more

Fantastic experience all around using SWS to encapsulate my crawl space from initial proposal through job completion. Chris Borgman with SWS conducted a very comprehensive assessment of my crawlspace, which included a series of pictures and a hand drawn schematic of the space. Chris walked me through his assessment and presented his recommendation, which I felt was very well thought out and made the most sense in terms of what issues were and were not present in the crawlspace. Never any pressure or upselling. The proposal was cost competitive as well. I had numerous follow up questions after receiving the proposal and Chris was always prompt to respond, patient and pleasant to deal with and definitely went the extra mile to help coordinate the work to accommodate my schedule and other projects going on at my house concurrently. When it came time for the work to be performed, Eduardo and his crew were just as fantastic. They spent four solid days working in the crawlspace. They were friendly, courteous and very respectful of my property at all times. Once the job was complete I went down into the crawl and Eduardo walked me through everything that had been done, showed me the features of the system and took the time to answer any questions that I had. This was at the end of the 4th day and I'm sure he and his crew were ready to call it a day and head home, but he patiently addressed all of my questions. I could tell that he took great pride in the quality of work that he and his crew perform. I got the same vibe from Chris as well. My experience with SWS leaves me with the feeling that the company not only takes great pride in what they do, but that they also conduct their business with honesty and integrity and are committed to delivering a solution that optimally meets the needs of each customer. They do not flinch when it comes to going above and beyond if necessary either. I cannot recommend highly enough! read more
