My first Red Planet Hotel Experience…read more I must say for the price I paid for my room and the comfort of my sleep its a 5 star! I paid around 1,100 pesos for my solo stay a room with wifi,hot/cold shower rain type shower,hair dryer which I use on some of my cloths. The location of the hotel in CDO is really favorable, limketkai is in walking distance, sm and its near the bus terminal.

Though they were not able to accommodate me to provide the 2nd room for my family at the time we arrived, we were still able to do other things while killing time. I vouch for this place if anyone is looking for a place to stay.

Anyway this hotel is clean and the people are very polite, courteous and great manners. Again, I guess here in the PH , I notice most of the people I have talk and spoke are very polite and cordial. Maybe it's the culture. It's been a long time and I was only 13 when I left PH back in 1977 so I just have forgotten how they train us to be polite and courteous. Anyway the hotel has feee breakfast buffet. Their restaurant is Kave Restaurant and Bar. They also have biuffet both lunch and dinner. In between , you can order food out of the buffet menu. The rooms are clean, the beds are soft and comfortable. More channels to eat CT and relax. They have spa and yes they have their own big mall right next the hotel. Cagayan de Oro has grown from a small town back when I was 9 years and went to school here for 7 months to a full blown big city. It may be the 2nd largest city in the island of Mindanao. Hennan Tawala pool appears large but is actually 4 pools divided in 4 sections that doesn't even connect. Our room was far from the beach and still had some walking distance. Had issues connecting my devices to their WiFi. The pool water was cold. They have 2 jacuzzis but all had cold water too. This place charge more than the other hotels in the area for sub-par service. I was charged extra for my 8year old who is considered an adult in their perspective. We were also charged extra for towels we never redeemed. This place will find every reason to charge their customers extra. They will charge you extra if you try to bring food from outside to your room too. I must say the best part of our stay was breakfast & the worst part was the extra charges, cold showers, cold water, and COLD treatment from their manager specifically the front staff/manager Jonabelle when trying to reason regarding extra charges. This place was definitely EXTRA (charges) and so OVER-rated. Not too kid friendly as they charged extra for 6years and older. They do not offer anything for the kids except to take a dip in their frigid pools. We will not be returning nor will we recommend. Save yourself the money & headache because the pictures shown on their sites are all just sugar coating. Note:. It is not located on the beach, but it's in the center of the resort. You have three Henann hotels here's side by side. The service here at At Henann Alona, I think, is much better than any of the Henanns that I've stayed at in Boracay. The main negative here is that if you stayed at Henann before, you know they have some of the worst non-HD flat screen TV's of any major hotel chain in the Philippines. Also, the lighting in the bathroom is in need of more brightness at the mirrors, especially if you need to be looking at yourself shaving. Other than that, I think having a mini pool I didn't have to share was a plus.

I opted for a family room at php1100.00 and I was super surprised that the room was HUGE! It had a ref, a queen-sized, and twin-sized bed, and a huge bathroom! I love that the a/c is strong and that the room has a 32-inch wall-mounted TV. The bedsheets smell freshly laundried and the pillows are soft and sufficiently plump. The frontdesk people are polite and they really go out of their way to help you feel right at home. The hotel is also conveniently located near downtown and a short walk away from banks and restaurants. Wifi is strong too! The bed was uncomfortable, they provided one pillow, sheets were super worn out. They charge extra for towels and they were all worn out too, we also had to constantly tell them to please clean the room and the toilet paper they provided was so thin. Just to add to it there were little ants in the room and a cockroach greeting us in the bathroom when we first checked in.
