To start, I was hired on for one position and immediately after showing up for orientation, was told that my position I applied for was given to someone else due to "senior status", which I understand in general but not when your advertising a job on a platform like indeed. That has never happened to me in all 10 years I have been in security. After that, I was basically thrown another position with your typical "take it or don't let the door hit you on the way out" scenario. At that point I considered walking out but honestly I also thought any job would be better than having to start this whole time consuming process over again. Little did I know the onboarding process would be the least of my issues with the company. Everything was fine for the first two months at the hotel I was stationed at until I had a serious issue with hotel staff I was working around on the job. My job simply was to rove and guard the door to the hotel and was asked if I could run the occasional item up to patrons if there was a need for it. However, Ronda (the overnight front desk lady) had other plans for me. She would go in the break room and nap, leaving me at the desk instead of the door for random periods of time. Then attempted to utilize me to strictly run things up and down the hotel for her so she could sit on her phone all night. Thats not what I signed on for and I wound up going to her boss (the hotel's location manager) and telling her what happens when she leaves because she actually wound up confronting me about being behind the desk on camera in general. This only started a toxic issue with Ronda who then decided to act toxic towards me in multiple ways from yelling, to swearing, to doing your typical uneducated stuff people do when they get caught doing stuff they shouldn't. This then feed into the morning shift with a front desk manager named Michael who had more than authority problems to deal with and went out of his way to belittle my title as an officer and consistently questioned why I was even at the hotel in general. You'd think this would be something we as the officers would have to deal with the hotel patrons and not the staff, but I was wrong. My job became so toxic that I told the location manager straight up that because they hadn't done anything to fix how things were there, I was done being treated poorly and she needed to find someone else to do the job. I then called my on call manager, waited till he showed up, gave him the run down and left. This had been an issue for nearly two months straight and I was looking to be reassigned to a different location but the company took me leaving the hotel under those circumstances as my resignation. I honestly was surprised because it was not until then that I realized that my dispatch manager had been neglecting to read my reports. When I challenged them about it, they lied about what happened, and said there were never any reports filed of any issues of the matter. That was a lie because I was on the phone with my on call manager almost nightly about it and we both were filing reports. The company changed their story four times before I gave up the chase. Each change made no sense because I was originally told they had no record of anything so how would that be possible? No matter what, the company was only in it for themselves. They don't care about their agents. Honestly, how hard is it to read our reports and take action on behalf of us, your officers? To secure our futures as your company's assets? They never payed me my last paycheck either and still demanded the uniforms back. When I refused, they sent a collections agency after me which oddly made my day. The reason was that after I explained my situation and that being the reason I wasn't going to be returning their uniforms that costed roughly around the same amount as I was supposed to be paid, the collection agency told me that they completely understood why I was upset and that they too wouldn't have returned the uniforms if they were in my shoes. Afterwards, they gratuitously flagged my profile as inconclusive and told me I'd never hear from them on behalf of Secureone again. Whats even better is that during onboarding, I was told by my dispatch manager about how she was forced to pay out of pocket if I resigned and didn't return the uniforms and how she'd take action against it. So much for that! Hope you enjoyed paying for your negligence as a terrible dispatch manager. Overall, I came out on top of all this but with all thats been said, I hope that anyone reading this really thinks about the quality of certain companies, outfits, and factions you can get yourself into that talk all high and mighty but fall short nonetheless. read more

Paige and James Mcgovern (I guess they are married) are evil. James the manager said he believed I was Psychotic or slow in an email Sept. 16, 2025. How unprofessional is that. Because I wouldn't give him my official garnishment order against Michael Cordell Mckinney age 65 of Harvey Illinois. I need to sue Michael. Secure one Security Services had an official court order against Michael on my behalf on Aug 4th, 2025. Michael is an armed guard for them. He works under the Crestwood IL. location. Anyway Jim is hiding Michael so I can't garnish his pay. The company was supposed to have 2 employees each shift at Dispensary 33 ( marijuana shop) in West Loop Chi. and they only provided one. They were risking Michael's life for years, in 2023 and 2024 by making him work the night shift alone. He was scared. Michael is also a Theif. read more

I had the best experience in applying and interviewing for a job with this company than I have in many years. Kim was so helpful and knowledgeable in answering all my questions. I had an 8ssue with my fingerprints for my PERC card and she helped me get it taken care of so fast. The entire team at SecureOne have been very helpful and polite. I hate to give this e company 1 star. The Management team at the Crestwood location are unprofessional. Nothing good to say about this company. They steal from you and thinks that it's OK. Don't waste you time and skills with these people you deserve better. read more
