Granted my wife did a lot of the investigative work that forced her ex to settle, but that's also to Tom's credit because he certainly wasn't afraid to go to trial and handled her ex's attorney with fearless finesse. Tom was always a no-B.S. person, so don't go there looking for counseling or emotional hand holding. He's there to win your case. He's not rude, but you have to be prepared to understand that you have hired a litigator, not a paper pusher who just writes wills and trusts and does real estate closings. He can do that too, but his strength is in functioning as more than a basic "I can do it cheap" lawyer. I'd recommend him for serious work, you can probably get any mush from google to do the other stuff. Although like I said, it's not beneath him. The guy is a worker.

I found out 2 weeks ago, five years after she "completed" my child support modification (in 2019) that my court order is a useless pile of paper that she never got signed or dated by a judge. So I paid her, and child support cannot even enforce the order or the paperwork I have because it's not actually approved by a judge. What the heck did I pay her all that money for??? When I used her, I waited patiently and thought a busy lawyer is a good lawyer but boy I was fooled. Hopefully I can get this figured out soon because this is a mess and I don't ever know where to begin fixing her mess up (shes blaming the clerk for)

I would recommend finding an attorney who values clear communication and prompt responses.

Stan has been my attorney for several different business related ventures and issues. I believe…read morethere are three primary characteristics of an effective attorney, that makes processes as smooth as possible (and let's be honest, when dealing with the law, things are already going to be difficult from the get go): 1. Reliability: when they say they will draft a document, write a letter, or perform some action on your behalf, they get it done as promised. 2. Good Communication: the law can be confusing for the lay person and someone who can explain it in easy to understand format is crucial to making sure you know what you're dealing with. 3. Integrity: lawyers get a bad rap but the truth is, there are honest ones out there and you absolutely want to have one so you can be confident they have your best interest in mind, and that they will always do the right thing. Stan exemplifies all three areas and that's precisely why he is my attorney of choice--for both real estate and general business matters.

He has a calm demeanor which serves him well in complex legal matters where multiple legal issues intertwine. His best attribute is his methodical attention to detail. Rich will get to know you and your case and will use every advantage afforded to him by the law. My experience with criminal lawyers is the vast majority will " plea you down the river and take whatever money they can get out of you". I have worked with dozens of criminal lawyers throughout Chicagoland over the years and know many of them personally. Most will charge a high retainer while just trying to get you a decent plea deal. Not the case with Mr. Dvorak. Mr. Dvorak has a great deal of experience with the Illinois Appellate court and is not afraid to fight his hardest for his clients. I highly recommend him. I also caution anyone serious about using a civil or criminal lawyer to examine their work at the Appellate level. The vast majority of lawyers have very little or no experience at the Appellate level. This means they are likely not going to take your case very far, even if it is a winner. Recently Mr. Dvorak has had several high profile victories. He won one of the largest verdicts in Illinois recently ( close to 5 million dollars) and was featured in the prestigious Chicago Law Review Bulletin. Further, he won a complex eavesdropping ruling on another high profile criminal case. Get to know Rich before you see another lawyer. You won't be disappointed.
