I just had an initial free consultation with this law firm and I am shocked at how unprofessional it was. I currently have a pending case in the 1st circuit court of IL. This is an IL case because I, the patient, was located in IL when being treated by a national telehealth company. I can't believe they got this basic information wrong. That's not even the worst part. As I was ending the call, I could hear someone in the background sarcastically yell "AAAAAUDIOOOOOS" as I said this clearly is not a good fit. I hired them about a year ago and as soon as I signed the papers, I never heard from them again. My doctor released me a couple weeks ago. I called twice and left messages and still haven't heard from them. So I'm thinking that I should just deal with Sedgwick on my own. Maybe a few million doesn't mean anything to them, but it means a lot to me. I mean I could get a book and study up and hope that I get a judge who will kind of guide me through the process. I'm extremely disappointed and upset because I am a person too and I don't understand why it's so hard to make a God damn phone call and keep your client aware of what's going on. Thankfully I am off of work because I had to have another surgery for something else and I have time to go study up I guess since start getting paperwork together. Please read this before you make the same mistake I did. -- 1/5 stars I want to start by saying that I am writing this with a full heart and genuine concern for anyone who is injured, vulnerable, and searching for someone who will truly go to bat for them. I did my research. I believed I was making a responsible, informed decision when I recommended Malman Law to someone I care about deeply. That recommendation turned out to be one of the biggest mistakes of my life, and I feel a strong responsibility to share what happened. From the very beginning, there were red flags I wish I had taken more seriously. When Malman Law first made contact, they delivered a lovely gift box to the house -- a warm, welcoming gesture that made a great first impression. However, in order to actually receive that gift, you were required to show them proof that you had already left a 5-star review on Google. Think about that. They asked for a glowing review before they had done a single thing to earn one. I went along with it at the time, but looking back, I believe that moment alone reveals exactly how this firm operates. When it came to the actual legal work, the representation was a profound disappointment. There was no real fighting on our behalf, no aggressive negotiation, no sense that anyone at this firm was genuinely invested in getting the best possible outcome. What occurred instead was simple: the doctors got paid, the firm got paid, and we were left feeling overlooked and undervalued. When we pushed back and asked them to actually fight for us, the response was not professionalism or reassurance -- it was intimidation. A manager named Kyle called and essentially threatened us, saying that if we did not accept the offer on the table, they could no longer help us. That is not advocacy. That is a firm protecting its own interests, not yours. Please, if you are reading this and considering hiring Malman Law, I am asking you from a place of genuine care -- walk away. Do yourself a favor and seek out a small, dedicated law practice where your case is not just a number, where the attorneys have a personal stake in fighting for every dollar you deserve. Big firms like this have overhead to cover and volume to maintain. Once the basic bills are settled, your fight is largely over for them. I also want to be transparent: given my experience and the way their reviews are collected, I am not confident that the positive feedback you will find online reflects real, uninfluenced clients. Please take that into consideration. I don't say any of this out of anger. I say it because I wish someone had said it to me first. Please take this as the warning it is meant to be. Do not hire this firm. I had the unfortunate experience of having 2 cases with them. They don't return calls or messages. When they finally do they finger point and make excuses. They take no accountability for anything. Fail to provide updates and I even went months before I heard back from someone. And yes, I call repeatedly, emailed, texted. And nothing. They only look out for themselves and their wallet. They only have their best interests at heart and not their clients. And of course they ended up walking away with more money than me. Shocker. I guess it's so universal that the person sitting at the desk in their building that you have to check in with said she hears nothing but horror stories from other clients of Malman law. My lawyers were Dana and Meghan. Both were horrible. You know it's bad when the person you have to check in with in the building lobby before you can go up has more horror stories than you do about Malman law and their lawyers they're only getting one star because I can't post unless I give them at least one star read more

If I could give this ridiculous law firm zero stars I would! In 2014 the Malman' s excepted my sister's case.. and did absolutely nothing but ripped my family off with the settlement! My sister was a patient at RML hospital in hinsdale IL for several months due to her extensive medical issues.. which I was her guardian and visited her every day. RML wanted to transfer my sister to a regular nursing home.. and each time I will appeal with her insurance and won the appeal each time..so RML did the unthinkable and told the state of IL that my dear sister didn't have a family and made her a ward of the state of ILLinois. Which made it difficult for me to have a say so in her care.. they managed to move her to a regular hell hole of nursing home which she received absolutely no medical care .. her blood pressure dropped during the middle of the night and staff never checked on her.. and she had a heart attack and put on a ventilator. I hired The Malman's to sue RML and glenwood nursing home.. he only sued glenwood for bedsores without addressing the the real issue! These two places literally murdered my sister... and she pasted away on Christmas Day 2014! This is a law office from hell! They are afraid to tackle more serious cases! read more

This group is a fraud. They will not work for you. They will work for the other party and low ball you to accept anything while they take majority of the money. They will not stand up for you. I almost lost my eye and they have backed me up against the wall to accept whatever workers comp will give me. They are very rude and will hang up in your face. They will lie, lose all documents and tell you they never received it and when they receive the new documents, tell you these are not the documents they received originally. I have been fighting this case for almost 3 years now with no justice for my eye. I can barely see and on top of that I have a group of people who think my eyesight is only worth 2% of my functional senses. SMH read more

I called with an open and shut case that will be lifetime. In less the 10 they decide not to take the case. They give you bs answer but do not explain why. They do not even first get all the info. I told them i have tests coming up. They could give two shits about anything. It's a make millions or little choice. They are horrible and in my opinion are scum on the bottom a septic tank. This firm i do not recommend unless you want to waste your time. If they cannot make millions off your case. When you question them about this they just put you on hold till you hang up. The positive comments must be from people they begged to write or from the cases they made millions off of. Too early to tell. I'm in the middle of a workmans comp case that has been going on for 9 months so far. The workmans comp insurance keeps dragging their feet. I have yet to talk to my actual attorney, not sure if I even have one to be honest with you. I'm always texting with case workers back and forth. I get the feeling my case is not large enough$$ to bother the actual attorney. That's not saying it may not turn out to my benefit in the end. I would probably recommend going with a smaller company, someone who will take the time and actually talk to you. Bigger isn't always better! read more

i feel they are a scam, they have proven to be unreliable, unprofessional, and raciest! My case started around early Nov , 2025, and they have left me with the worst feeling. They won't call me back, I guess never started my case! However they started my therapy. But not work comp payments. Christmas came and went... I contacted Malman Law to review a case we had regarding my father's hospice, via their web chat. I was almost immediately contacted by someone from their office named Stacey. When Stacey called, I was already questioning her competency due to the questions she was asking. Our situation was complex, and I was not sure if they would take the case anyway, but it seemed like Stacey was just reading from a script, asking very generic questions and not seeming to really grasp what I was describing to her. At the time of the call, I did not have the exact dates of events, but told her I could produce them. She asked for a copy of the death certificate. When I emailed her the copy of the death certificate, I also re-wrote all of what we had discussed, except I also included all of the dates. Again, our situation was very complex. When Stacey replied to my email (which is in my name, and had my signature on it), she referred to me by my deceased dad's name, which again reiterated my concerns of her competency. I then received a phone call from their legal team about a half hour after she had replied to the email, I received a call from their legal team saying that they were not interested and gave me the phone number to the Chicago Bar Association. He did not provide any reason why he did not want to take the case, which would have been helpful. I should have been more skeptical of a firm who spends so much time advertising on television, as the general trend with these types of firms tends to below average. My main reason for the 1 star review was my concerns with the competency of the person I had to talk to. read more

Contacted Malman law because of a car accident. The other party was at fault, and their insurance carrier admitted 100% liability. The auto was totaled, and I handled that myself with great results. Because I was injured, I decided it would be best to have an experienced attorney on my side. Malman Law accepted my case; I concentrated on getting healthy and rehabbing my injuries. I prepared a detailed spreadsheet of all my cost including listing out my injuries. I advised my attorney Daniel B. my 37th wedding anniversary plans as well as my birthday plans were negatively impacted because of this accident. In addition, I sustained multiple injuries. Long story short due to Daniel B's ineptitude, inexperience and poor negotiation skills. I ended up settling for a net loss to me after expenses of $3,800. I could have done a much better job of handling this myself. He did not have my best interest in mind and took the first offer without any negotiating on my behalf to clear this case off his backlog. My daughter phoned them after a medical facility caused her husband to fall and seriously injure himself. I just listened to your commercial about Lou who fell in a nursing home and broke his hip and you represented him. I call up and get a callback from somebody who sounded like she was in her car listening to my story. After less than five minutes, she tells me she needs to consult with the law group. She comes back after less than five minutes and tells me that they can't take my case and refers me to somebody else who was supposed to call me and never does. We have a definite case against a doctor Who screwed up surgery on my husband and the insurance company who denied care for a month and caused a kidney injury and then decided that they were wrong and they should have not denied care. Meanwhile, the harm was already done. and my husband spent six months in the hospital and got all kinds of infections and had a surgery that was not done properly, but you are not going to even listen to me to see if I have a case? Really how dare you go on every single commercial? I look at and tell us how great you are. read more
