We just closed on our second property (first investment property) yesterday and Bruce rose to the occasion once again! Whether financing a primary residence or investment property, Bruce is highly responsive, top notch, and gets the job done. In the home stretch of getting the property under contract, I pinged Bruce on July 4th weekend about a last minute change to my offer. He was probably near water, reclined in a lawn chair, sipping a cold beverage of choice. He jumped out of his chair (as I imagined it), dawned a cape, and got me what I needed to secure the property! Bruce is a super hero to me and I look forward to posting great things about him again when I acquire or refinance my next property.

So it is no surprise; that I also use Bruce for my own personal lending needs. I have found that not only does he provide a high-level of service; he also has a wealth of experience and knowledge of the lending industry. His loan interest rates are very competitive with other lending institutions and their underwriting guidelines are in-line with industry norms. However; the lending process is MUCH easier than other "big banks" as Bruce follows the loan through the entire process. I highly recommend Bruce for all your lending needs.

I attribute it to the fact that they send a stager in to improve the presentation of your house, and they use a professional photographer when taking pictures that will be posted on Zillow, Redfin, etc. The entire marketing process was top notch. Buying a house went smoothly as well. We were able to close 45 days after having our offer accepted. Our agent was always able to get us in to view houses within 48 hours of our request. You can make viewing requests online and the agents are very good about contacting you via your preferred method (text, email, phone, etc.) In addition to all of this they provided a large moving truck, moving boxes, packing tape, and a housewarming party. They let us use the moving truck for not one, but two days. The housewarming party was not just cheese and crackers either; you could get crab dip, Greek skewers, wings, and a whole host of other good items. They sent us flowers shortly after we accepted them as our agent. When we bought our new house they gave us a customized cutting board as a housewarming gift. Finally, they throw a yearly party for all of their clients, which includes open bar and a free pie. You would think with all of these amenities that they charge large commission fees. Our commission fees were 5% which are right in line with all other realtors.

They have always been patient in educating us as first-time home buyers, and we never questioned that they were working in our best interest. They quickly ran many different scenarios and provided pre-approval letters for us on multiple properties that didn't come through, and finally for the house where our offer was accepted. One of the reasons we went with Chris and his team was their extensive experience and deep knowledge related to renovation loans (203k and HomeStyle) and conventional non-renovation loans, which gave us flexibility to switch to a different type of loan if the home we are purchasing did not end up qualifying for a non-renovation loan. We appreciated them expediting the appraisal, which was critical for this determination and luckily resulted in what we were hoping for. We always received quick, helpful, and easy to understand responses from Chris and Bryce, even on evenings, weekends, and Father's Day. Our loan was fully approved in about 2.5 weeks, even with a 5 week closing timeline. The rate we received was highly competitive. We have had absolutely zero complaints or hiccups throughout many, many months of working with Chris and the team, and we would unquestionably recommend Chris to friends and use him again.

Everything turned around for me once I started working with Bob (Robert) and Jessica. I called them at all hours of the day with a million and one questions and they were not only responsive, but also patiently explained every little detail that I was confused about (which was a lot). Bob came up with several different loan scenarios for me, all of which included every incentive program that I qualified for. After speaking with a number of different lenders and real estate agents, I realized that things like city-specific financial incentives are not common knowledge, even among experts in the trade. Bob knows his stuff and ended up saving me a LOT of money. He even called me once to say, "Great news - I just found a way to save you $1,500." Need I say more? I was also extremely grateful for Jessica, Bob's assistant. One time, Bob was in a meeting and normally, that's usually a sign to the client that they'll have to wait for a call back, but Jessica was so knowledgeable about my files and current situation, that she was able to help me with all that I needed herself. Bob also called to follow up after his meeting. Double win. I never even had to step foot in their office. I usually never write online reviews, but I really cannot say enough about Bob and Jessica at First Home Mortgage. If you couldn't already tell, I highly recommend!
