They charged me $675 for an appraisal that costs $550 and refuse to repay the over payment and will not answer emails in regards to this issue. Our loan officer failed to disclose important parts of the process including HOA questionnaires and specific FHA guidelines. When asking questions all we heard was " I've been doing this 20 years. Let me do my job." Our loan officer would also wait til 830 at night to text us any important information when they had all day to CALL. In addition, they bad mouthed my wife and I to our real estate agent blaming us for their inability to do their job and problems that came about due to their lack of experience. Then, they would turn around and bad mouth anyone who would give us advice to drop them. There is no accountability with First Home. After weeks of their unprofessional attitude and inability to get the job done we switched to a better, more professional company who has not only gotten the job done, but in half the time and with a better rate. When I switched companies I got harassed via text from the loan officer with nasty comments and rude attitude. Only after I left did their manager reach out and try and work with us It was too late. If you need a good mortgage company stay far away from these clowns. They treat their clients like garbage.

Other agents may not be as terrible as ours (I REALLY hope they're not), but Todd Asplen was the WORST I've ever had and this was my 5th (out of 6 when you count the refinancing) mortgage broker. He messed up almost EVERYTHING. Our original mortgage documents (which we signed just so we didn't have to wait longer to close and get our construction work done before moving in...) actually have Bryan's cell phone (completely different area code & number - I didn't even recognize it, since it's just stored in my phone) listed as my phone number and a bunch of other issues. He was HORRIBLE with communication and did a terrible job with EVERY step of the process. Thankfully, I never had to meet him in person, but I would avoid Sierra Pacific at ALL COSTS. SO glad we're finally leaving them behind! When I contacted the company to complain, no one even cared about all the things (I had tons of notes back then) Todd had done wrong. The company has been bad in a couple other ways since then (very difficult to get on estatements, no easy way to sign up for better payment plans than the 1/month, etc.), but their not caring about all the issues we had initially bothered me the most. The company clearly supports horrible service and it thrives there. Until someone mentioned the review of our new mortgage company, I hadn't even thought of being able to review the Sierra Pacific company on Yelp. SO glad I got to do this. Todd is the WORST and the parent company is also terrible. I'd never deal with Sierra Pacific again and can't believe Todd has a job when he messed up SO many things. We even had to sign with the wrong phone number for me, since he didn't listen and there was no way to get the paperwork corrected. Thankfully, we kissed them goodbye and are now with a great mortgage company. Lower rate, knocked 11 years off the mortgage, and all of our information is CORRECT on our loan. Seems so simple until you deal with the worst of mortgage brokers. I really wish my SoCal broker could do deals in PA.
