SMH so here goes. Located in industrial area and within a business complex near Dland, plenty of parking including valet. Upon entry the vibe is modern man cave woodsy chalet with leather furniture and animal skin backs. Service is usually solid (some staff better than others) but the main show is the menu. They have unique offerings that is not easily available at other establishments such as the country fried quail appetizer. Trust me, this one is a MUST! We've converted non-believers into those that finish the last bite refusing to share this dish. Their steak offerings no matter what cut you get will almost always be cooked the way you requested and the flavors are definitely high end steakhouse. Prime rib is hands down better than Lawry's, no questions! For dessert, there is an off menu item which most gate keep but I'm going to share it: popcorn ice cream! Don't judge just try! Tip: please make sure to check their website for their strictly enforced dress code. CA casual can get one denied.

We asked if I could open them first and he said yes and left us alone for a few minutes. I understand they don't want clutter around the tables but near the end of the meal they brought our to go food in bags that were three times the size of my gift bags and put those on the floor. Our waiter was very nice and helpful but service was so slow! And the service people did not know how to properly set a table. I know that is a first world problem but if you present yourself as a high end restaurant the water glasses should be placed on the right hand side and when you replace soiled silverware the knife goes on the right, the fork on the left. The prime rib is amazing. As are the sides we ordered. It was a nice evening except for the "check your birthday gifts" and water glasses placed out of reach. That just was a weird vibe.

We didn't really have a theme for her party...but Oscar asked me the color of her dress (sky blue) and it was like a fairy tale (Winter Wonderland). The staff was wonderful and accommodating. Everything was ready according to what I had planned, which was wonderful...especially when I was asked about the Toast...(totally forgot about that!!!) I appreciated soooo much being reminded of it!! Everyone is very professional. Our guests were all very happy and content, no one had anything negative to say about the party, venue or staff. Oscar and Victor... Mission accomplished!!! Thank you for everything you did to make my daughter's day special! She will for ever remember this day... We'll be in touch in a couple of years to start planning the next one...maybe sooner if my niece decides she wants one. I definitely recommend The Place Banquet Hall for your future needs. Kudos infinity!!! Gratefully, Gaby Islas

Katie your venue is beautiful and you have been very kind to us but there are some things that need a huge improvement the venues temperature and the AC units that are in there do nothing for large parties and the power in the venue does not stay on and my guest had to find the breaker box to turn it on every couple of minutes because it kept shutting off the power during dinner and right before I walked down the aisle they had to switch it back on so we were able to hear our pastor during the ceremony. These details really need to be told to people that are trying to rent the venue not only did my guest go out and buy fans just to try and make it bearable the staff called their families to bring fans just to try and help my guest. This was the biggest day of mine and my husbands life and we were so worried about our guest and the heat. I planned for a year for this day and the heat and the power staying was a huge problem!!!

This review is for their wedding venue, not the golf course itself…read more This was one of our final contenders and ultimately stood out for creating an intimate atmosphere without feeling dominated by the golf course. All of my communication was through Nicole, who was consistently responsive and quick to answer questions throughout the process. =PROS= *Ceremony and reception spaces felt completely separate from the golf course *Overnight parking included *String lighting at both the entrance and outdoor areas was included *Extensive menu customization with premium upgrades that were not commonly offered elsewhere, including caviar and oysters *Beautifully designed bar setup *Gorgeous fireside patio space *Flexible dessert options *Reasonably priced meals for vendors and children *Complimentary soft holds with 24 hours to make a decision =CONS= *Ceremony site felt somewhat bare aside from the well maintained lawn *Bridal and groom suites were on the smaller side, with bathrooms located separately *Chivari chairs required an additional setup fee *Cocktail hour catering was limited to in house options *Reception space felt somewhat cramped for a guest count of 150 =NOTES= *The parking lot was quite full during our consultation, though we were told it typically clears out later in the day *Only four restroom stalls for guests, though renovations are reportedly planned in the near future Overall, this remained one of our strongest contenders. Had we been bigger golf enthusiasts, this venue may very well have won us over. The package felt highly inclusive, and there were numerous thoughtful details that set it apart from other venues we toured. However, with our larger guest count, the indoor reception space felt a bit tight and ultimately gave us some hesitation. Even so, there was a lot to like here, particularly for couples seeking an intimate setting with a polished, all inclusive experience.

Staff makes the day better, from clubhouse to starter to cart staff, always a great experience. Correction on prior review, golf carts DO have coolers with ice, so bring your water and soda. GPS on carts matches my Garmin, so take that as good news too. If you're lucky, you'll catch an afternoon where smashburgers are grilled to order on the patio, big win! Pace of play runs 4 1/2 hours, very nice.

DineLA experience 1 of 3…read more We accidentally had the dineLA experience for our party of 11 celebrating a birthday. The birthday girl chose this place as she remembered loving her previous visit. Most of us had never been. It was after we checked in that we found out they were offering the dineLA menu. Shockingly, they didn't make the whole table partake like how other places I've been to require it. 9 of us opted for it. To backtrack a little, we were originally a party of 12 that became 11 on the day of dinner. As our arrivals scattered, the host said he could only seat us once 8 people were there. Some sat by the waiting area and some of us went to the bar. We got there just as happy hour had ended, but the bartender let us order from the HH menu since we got there just in time. S/O to the bartender. First off, my drinks were amazing. The presentation was 10/10. The food was amazing. I think I was one of a few that didn't have any takeaway. I went to town on all the ones I picked. We started with the cucumbers and potato salad. I could legitimately eat that combo for the rest of my days. My friend ended up getting another order of the potato to take home. I wish I did the same. My app was the tartare tacos. I kilt that For my main, I went with the nigiri platter. The rice was so good that I couldn't stop talking about it. I was able to try the short rib that the person next to me ordered and wow. Perfect spices. It was so yummy. I ended with the gelato/sorbet combo. Truth be told, the cheesecake was far better. I will however say that overall I had no notes regarding all the foods. Same for the cocktails. Despite all that, I'm giving them 3/5 because the service was wild. Our server was Ryan? Here's what I've noticed in the LA area, when your party is a certain # where gratuity is automatically added to the bill, the service tends to be disappointing. It's like they don't even try to put in the least knowing they're getting 20% guaranteed. Our server was MIA when we needed something. I don't remember him checking in on us. And let me tell you something, the man dining solo next to us as well as the party of 2 (grandma/grandson) directly behind us spent a majority of their time looking for our server. To end on a positive, the live band was fantastic. The singer had a great voice and sang a ton of our favorites.

When we went we were sat right away and the jazz was absolutely amazing. I also loved the live fish swimming around along the ceiling. The service honestly was not that great. No one came to our table for a while after we were sat and when someone did finally come they didn't introduce themselves or anything, just asked us what we wanted. The appetizer and the entree both took honestly a very long time to come out too which I can understand in a busy restaurant, but there were a total of 10 tables filled so I wouldn't call that busy. The food itself was very good and I was super impressed with the crispy rice tuna. Our server didn't come back to ask us if we needed anything or to ask how the food was for probably 30 minutes and by then we had finished our meals and just wanted to leave. We asked three separate people for the check and asked one person twice. I'm not sure why it took so long to get the check and why it seemed so difficult. I was just disappointed that other tables seemed to be getting checked up on frequently, but we didn't and getting the check was much harder than I would've liked it to be.
