Last weekend, I needed to replace my watch battery, which I had done at Secrete before. I was helped by a lovely associate named Claire. She explained that the bad weather had caused shipping delays, and I should come back the following week. We ended up having a delightful chat about this and that, and she even gave me refreshments. I went in last night for the same errand. Claire immediately remembered me, finished the task in record time, and said no charge! Such friendly, courteous, and professional service is rare indeed these days. Claire is a keeper. read more

I took a valuable gold bracelet to Secrete to be repaired/soldered. I went to pick it up and the place they soldered was grey so they said I have to leave it there to be cleaned (which I would have thought would be automatic). I get home and realize they soldered the wrong area - it was still broken so all they did was create a light grey hue on one end On a positive, they had previously repaired an invisible set of diamonds for a necklace pendant where one of the little diamonds was missing. There were no issues with that repair. read more

Going to Secréte was very easy choice for me to make, it is mear seconds off the DuPont Metro Stop and a block or so from the Circle. They are open on the weekends and have great hours for people who have 9-5 jobs like myself. Their jewelry and watch selection is second to none, and this is the only place that I would take my watches for maintenance and for adjustments. Shout out to the staff, especially Sara, who was so sweet, kind, attentive and quick with the adjustments I needed done. They have just gotten themselves a life long customer! -Seb read more

DO NOT TRUST THE OWNER. I brought my vintage Omega watch into the shop last year to have a part of the movement serviced. I received a notification to pick up the watch but unfortunately could not for some time. When I went in to pick up the watch I was told that they could not locate it, but not to worry as they were looking into it and would notify me when it was found. Weeks went by and periodically I would check in by calling the shop only to be blown off by the staff or told that the owner would call me back (which he did not). Finally I went into the store physically to see if I could get more information and yet nobody had any. Finally when I felt like I was out of options I wrote a negative review detailing my experience with the shop and voila! The owner, Eli, called me wanting to "make things right" (meaning he wanted me to take down my negative review). He invited me into the store and began trying to negotiate with me to take my review down. He offered me to pick a new watch from his shop that was supposedly "nicer" than the one I had previously entrusted him with but was obviously trying to steer me towards ones that I knew were not on par. I tried to be nice about it but he continued to downplay the value of my watch that he had lost. With the negotiation going nowhere he offered me a supposedly "very nice" watch from a brand I had never heard of that he claimed was twice the market value of my lost watch because it was gold. Seeing the negotiation going nowhere, I unfortunately believed him. To close the encounter, he made it extremely clear that it was important that I take down my negative review, and even called me on my cell phone to remind me. Now as I am looking to get another watch elsewhere, I wanted to see what value I could get out of the watch that he had compensated me with. Turns out next to nothing! A reputable watch dealer informed me that instead of it being "gold" it was in fact gold plated and that while SOME watches from the brand had decent market value, the one he had negotiated me into had nearly zero because it was not a chronograph. PLEASE nobody make the same mistake that I made trusting the owner or I guarantee he will try to take advantage of you too. read more

Secrete was recommended to me by a friend who had her engagement ring designed at the DC location. I had been holding on to a couple of loose gemstones that I wanted to integrate into a bespoke pendant and ring. Kadya and her father worked with me to design two gorgeous pieces - integrating diamonds from another ring that I never wore. They listened, kept in touch and never once did I feel pressured or overwhelmed. The prices were also reasonable compared to other jewelers in the Bethesda area. I will definitely go back and would highly recommend them to others! read more

My now fiancé and I went to Secrète while we were engagement ring shopping and we are so glad we did! It was very helpful to see what they had on display and then use those rings as a starting point for designing/customizing our ring. We worked with Mari and she was very enthusiastic and thorough in answering all of our questions/responding to my emails throughout the process--her guidance was so helpful as this was our first fine jewelry purchase and was obviously a very big deal for us. The final ring was exactly what I had pictured and I couldn't be happier! (The ring box was also really nice/tasteful) read more

What can I say? They know how to treat a lady with what they have in store. I went shopping for my wife's ring here and found exactly what I wanted and what I thought my wife would want. The Secrete Jewelry staff was attentive to my needs as a customer and extremely friendly(even with me asking an abnormally large number of questions). I feel like as the customer, I was treated with respect and not just another number for a sales target. If you're shopping for jewelry, or just a nice ring for your partner, Shop Secrete! I went in to purchase a gift for my wife for our 4 year anniversary and was not only really happy with the selection of stuff, but the customer service was hands down some of the best I've ever received, especially for a Jewelry store. Kadya, the woman that waited on me was so polite and not pushy at all. She made all the arrangements for the gift and wrapped it up nicely for me as well! We brought several pieces of cherished jewelry to Secrete for repair, and they did an outstanding job on all them. One was my mother's wedding ring, which was in pretty bad shape after many years of neglect, including loose and missing stones. When I picked up the ring, it brought tears to my eyes to see how beautiful they made my mother's ring. The other item was a watch my husband gave me on our first valentine's day. The band was broken and needed a new clasp. The Secrete watch expert did an amazing job and now the watch is as good as new. Thank you for bringing our jewelry back to life! read more

This place is perfect for people who know and love gemstones. Great selection of stones and settings. The jeweler Elyahu will assist with your design or re-design. Michelle (who's lovely) guided me through the process of my custom ring with fabulous result!! Secrete also accepted some of old jewelry for credit toward the final cost. They also repaired some of my vintage pieces. Custom is different than buying regular retail. The value of gemstones greatly vary... So know what you want and what you're buying! Best advice: Ask questions, get an appraisal and you will wear your piece happily ever after. read more

Secréte Jewelry - My dream ring! - Jewelry Near Me - Bethesda, Maryland

I pop in here whenever I have a jewelry repair or need a watch battery. The work is always done well and they clean the jewelry while they're at it. The timing for the repairs depends on what the job is and how busy they are, but I'm always satisfied with the work. My last visit I spotted a ring I loved, but wasn't planning on making a big purchase. I brought in an old diamond band I had but wasn't wearing, and they were able to use the diamonds and gold to create the same band (they just added the emeralds). It was a custom job so it took a few weeks but I am so happy with it and very reasonably priced. read more
