I love that there are unique Southern dishes like chicken and waffles, Southern fried chicken, and shrimp and grits. The coffee is hot, strong and accompanied by cute little baskets with individual creamers. The pancakes are super fluffy and served with a warm bottle of syrup. I am not a big fan of hot sauces as I don't eat spicy foods but had to dip a bite of chicken in the jalapeno hot sauce. It was really tasty and a tolerable amount of heat. I look forward to returning and trying even more versions of waffle or egg dishes here.

The frappe was also really good. My friend ordered the avocado toast, which she liked, but her caramel macchiato was off at first it tasted mostly like milk with a little caramel. They did fix it though, so I'll give them credit for that. Only downside was she ended up feeling like she got food poisoning afterward. The egg on her dish had a thin film on it, so we're thinking it might not have been fully cooked, which is concerning. Service itself was good and the staff was nice. Parking was also easy, which is always a plus. Good food overall, but that situation definitely threw things off a bit.

Deli Time is the great cafe inside my office building (and inside many buildings in the 'burbs). A friend had told me about them and when I saw the truck recently at a food truck meetup, I was determined to try them right away. I was their first customer of the day (lucky me!) and the staff seemed really energetic and enthusiastic about their items. I love pulled pork morning, noon and night (minus the morning) so I had to get the Interstate BBQ sandwich. The Interstate is $7 and is a BBQ Pork Sandwich-hand seasoned pork shoulder, smoked for twelve hours, chopped, sauced, & served on your choice of bun (according to their menu). You can pick from a brioche roll or pretzel bread. You can also get the sandwich in slider form for just $3.50. I liked the sandwich an awful lot, ever so slightly dry but great flavor. It's left me wanting more! They have a Bacon chocolate brownie....Yea I'm going to need to get that the next time I get Best Truckin' BBQ. And oh yes, there will be a next time. The truck is stationed in Schaumburg and makes a lot of stops in the area - perfect for a weekday lunch for me!

I ordered the traffic jam two bbq chicken sliders yum with pretzel buns. They now give lays classic bag if chips which I liked better than their homemade chips from last time. They tasted stale and hard. Staff was friendly and quick with my order. I wished they taped my wrapped sandwiches in place because it fell apart in my bag when I was taking them out. I should have asked for more BBQ sauce on the side maybe next time. Overall cost $9 plus $1 tip total $10 bucks. Their office is located 1501 e WOODFIELD rd suite 103e Schaumburg, il.

As we were leaving, I asked an employee for a refill on my pop. I took the lid off my cup and handed it to him. After refilling it, he went to hand the cup back to me, but the cup hit the counter and the pop went flying forward toward me. I tried to step back, but not quickly enough, and I ended up getting pop on me. I completely understand that accidents happen. What was frustrating was the employee's response afterward. The only thing he said was, "Did I get you?" There was no apology or even a simple "I'm sorry." I was standing there with pop on me, and I honestly felt like the situation was just brushed off. At that point, I decided to walk out because I didn't want to make a scene. I wasn't expecting anything unreasonable. Accidents happen, and I would have completely understood if he had simply apologized and acknowledged what happened. It's disappointing because my husband and I genuinely enjoyed our dinner. A simple apology would have gone a long way and probably would have left us walking out with a completely different impression of our experience. Hopefully management can use this as a reminder that accidents are going to happen, but how you handle them afterward matters just as much.
