The one recommendation I will make is that the houses need mirrors in the guest rooms. That was a huge issue for the wedding party, family members and friends staying in the houses. We ended up buying some for our stay since the only mirrors were in the small bathrooms. Also, there isn't any area for guests to park and most surrounding areas are 'Tow Zones'. We found spots but they were 2 blocks from the house which was inconvenient. This is a wonderful location for large families, perhaps reunions, or just a vacation.

Of course the ice machine is out of order. I was awakened to construction men right outside my balcony repairing the patio of the restaurant. There are signs directing you to the elevator and then you get there it says staff only. The best part was the bistro, but even then the construction men were right on the other side of the wall from my table tearing apart the outside wall. I paid nearly double for a room "on a higher level" and got the second floor out of five. Just another typical tourist trap.

Only one of the elevators work. Some of the lights don't work. The living room TV has gone bad and often displays the programming as a negative image or mostly green in color. Side of the refrigerator has good amount of rust. The icemaker didn't work. The showers had decent water pressure and they have nice soap products. The food at the restaurant was good. The crabcake was good portion and tasty and the vegetable medley had excellent flavor. I was overcharged when I arrived for what my confirmation said. Hopefully that has been straightened out with my bill when I check out. There was an issue with the elevator the one morning as the employee said it wasn't working. This other lady who looked like a manager, was asking other guests about the elevator. When I told her that is your employee with the supply cart and he's been standing at the elevator and it's not working. She's responded to me saying "I don't know him. I don't know what's going on. I don't know about another elevator. I'm new here. This is my first day." Really? You start your first day on Easter Sunday and you had no training? There is another elevator, but apparently that's been out of order for many months. Thankfully, the employee with the supply cart was able to get the elevator back working quickly Lots of available parking in the open lot We consider staying again, but likely will try another place

Loved Turf's Up! We have been coming to OBX from Las Vegas for 15+ years and we are always in…read moresearch of new places to check out. We saw Turf's up a few years ago and said we'd make it a point to visit on a rainy day. Today we spent an hour there and wish we'd booked more. It's so much fun! Our two kids (10 and 12) loved it. It's a great facility with every game you can imagine from golf to baseball, hockey to basketball. There's even a bar. Karen was extremely friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back. She helped me personal train and helped me understand meal prepping and what to look for in my foods and what I need nutrients-wise for my goal as well as my weight goals! She kept pushing me to my PRs are farther:) She is so understanding and takes every problem I had whether it was with meal-prepping or weight-lifting posture hesitancies and how to overcome.
