I cant say enough about getting my glasses here. I walked by here in December during the rush of Christmas and saw that they offered glasses for the crazy price of $108.00 frames and lenses included. Now I have a very high prescription and require a 1.74 high index lense making them normally very expensive ( $1000.00 at lenscrafters). I picked out a great pair of glasses, and got everything all in for $308.00 bucks. They took a couple of days to get in simply because they are a very high prescription and the lenses arent stocked on site - that said they normally can create your glasses in 30 minutes. My husband was in last night and got his glasses with frames and lenses for $108.00 bucks. I used to go to Clearly contacts, but this is even better because you can try on the glasses and they a great selection. This will be my go to for glasses going forwards. I worked in Cross Iron Mills when this place first opened up, and curiosity got the best of me. The concept seemed too good to be true - prescription eyeglasses for under $100, frames and lenses included. To my delight, it was actually just as advertised. Second Specs has been around since about April 2015. The staff are friendly and quick to help, but will let you browse if you're just killing time too. Once you start trying pairs on though, don't be surprised if they pop over next to you with a few suggestions of their own, or bring a few other pairs over for you to try out. Their pricing is about as simple as any optometry store can get. If you have a standard prescription, you can pick one of their house-brand frames and get a full set for the base price. You can add anti-glare/scratch resistant coating for a bit more, which is recommended, and still makes the set affordable. If you have progressives or bifocals, the price goes up a bit, but you're still looking at much less than buying from your optometrist. There are also a selection of designer frames available for a premium price, although the house brand has a lot available if you're not picky about brands. Once you pick your frames, if you have your prescription available, they can have your pair ready in about 30 minutes, if they have your lenses on hand. If your prescription is uncommon and you have to wait, you could be waiting up to a week, but it's still not too bad, considering the prices you pay. I got myself a pair, and recommended the same to my friends and family. They also have a referral program for credit if you refer 10 people who buy glasses - takes a while, but if you're happy and people are complimenting you on your new frames, referrals are easy to come by. Great experience with the product and the staff. My only complaint is the kiosk location which can get crowded during peak mall hours, so you're best to hit it first thing in the morning, or avoid it during weekends and go during the week if you can. read more

Thoroughly satisifed with both the product and especially the service! Friday, May 13 was my lucky day! A competitor in the same mall who couldn't fulfill my needs for eyeglasses in 24 hrs cheerfully recommended Second Specs. Forty minutes later I had a PERFECT pair of glasses with FREE frames for just $128 -- roughly *HALF* what I was expecting to pay at any competitor! At that price I am tempted to return for a second pair! They do it right on the spot in their tiny mall kiosk, passing all the saving from typical overhead costs onto the customer! Anti-scratch + Anti-glare coatings WERE FREE!! Sheena epitomized what GOOD customer service is, imv. Helpful, exceedingly polite, and always smiling, not just to me but all other cutomers I watched her interact with. Her two workmates as well! I'm telling everyone about this place. I got two pairs of glasses with lenses and frames and didn't even max out my insurance, what a deal. And I paid $0 out of pocket because they were able to direct bill. Plus they are real pros when it comes to the adjustments. Never have I ever ordered glasses and had them same day. They had to order lenses for my second pair that I bought on Friday, and I had the call Monday saying they're in. My husband ordered his on Wednesday when we picked them up, and they said they'll be ready Friday. AND they fixed up his old glasses, even though they weren't from there. I gave them my prescription and it was very easy, they read his prescription off of his lenses and it was just as fast. I'm never going to another glasses place again, I feel like I've been ripped off all these years before Second Specs! read more
