My husband bought a pair of glasses and he thought he found the perfect pair at Ollie Quinn. The floor model fit perfectly, snug in all the right place. When he picked up the glasses he ordered, they couldn't adjust it to fit anything like the floor model. To get the arms to be snug, the glasses were bent and the look was ruined. If it was straightened out to look good, the arms were so loose, the glasses would slip off. He complained and the manager approved to have them redone at a higher index which was suppose to be thinner lenses that would help keep the original shape and feel. My husband had originally ordered progressives, but he didn't like the distortion so he requested they not do it on the new pair. He picked up the new pair and I asked about the difference in price since he cancelled the progressive which adds about $100. I was told it was offset by the cost of the higher index on these new lenses. Low and behold, they still could not adjust it correctly. And all they would refund was $75 for the frame. They kept $325 for all this hassle! So hope you aren't picky about your glasses cause they will take your money. By the way, their progressive technology is the older one, everything they do is probably older technology and that's why they cost less then other big name stores. Beware.

I originally bought glasses from a local competitor, and the frames kept snapping--five pairs in total, most within days. They even let me switch to different frames at no cost, but those snapped the next day as well. The lenses also weren't built correctly for my Rx, and I kept thinking the issue was me. The staff there were kind, but after so many failed attempts, I had to walk away. A second opinion confirmed that the lenses were poorly shaped, causing stress fractures in every frame. I went to Lens Save Express, where I've shopped in the past, and shared my experience. I bought an Armani frame for the lenses, but it snapped the next day too. Instead of brushing it off, they investigated thoroughly. Their lens specialist confirmed the lenses were the real problem and offered to replace them for free. The new glasses--progressive lenses with beautiful frames--fit perfectly, feel great to wear, and have held up without any issues. The customer service, patience, and kindness I received at Lens Save were outstanding. I highly recommend them and am truly grateful for the care they took to make everything right.

Every detail in this store is illuminated. Even the floor is glittery. Backwalls and displays are lit with blue and purple lights. Too rich for my blood, I thought. It wasn't until I was actually looking for an optical place, I walked into Optiko. Browsing around, I found a good selection of brand name eyewear. They carry Chrome Hearts (which is pretty ballin since there's less than a handful of places that do). They don't carry the usual selection of brands other optical places carry. An honorable mention, is the amount of unique designer peices they stock. I can't say many places carry the wood frame Ray Bans or the Cat eye Prada frames. Simply put, most stores won't carry them for fear of them not being able to sell. What does this mean for Calgary shoppers? Limited selection, limited choices and boring standard products. The eclectic, the unique and fashionable live here. Optiko breaks the mold for the safe and standard. Kudos for having the best selectiof of upscale designer products and ever friendly staff. The place had a very modern vibe to it - vibrant colors, plush seating, extensive eyewear collection, well placed counters and excellent associates. The staff was all busy, so I just browsed the frames myself and tried on a few, I found one D&G pair for $280 at were really nice. I waited at the counter for ever to find out about lenses. Finally a woman came and I asked her about the cost of an eye exam, which is $85. She told me that lenses go for between $90 and $250, which isn't bad compared to a few other optometrists I have been to. She was called away and apologized, so I just made my way out. This place maybe wouldn't be my choice for frames, but their services seem well priced. This place seems busy, which is a good thing, expect to wait if you need any help.

The sunglasses should have come in a commemorative box along side a Ferrari monogrammed cleaning cloth. When my pair arrived I was disappointed that these items were not included as I was handed only the sunglasses. When I expressed my desire to have the retail box I was belittled and ushered out of the store. A staff member assured me that they would source one out but of course that never happened.
