This isn't your average spot, located near the 17th Ave and 4th St intersection, they offer a wide range of examinations and glasses options. They even carry the very cool and forward thinking brands ECO and Modo. Now you may be thinking, why would I bother going to the optometrist, I don't need glasses! My first question to you would be, are you sure, when did you last get your eyes examined? You are supposed to go every two years at the least. Now I am not a frequent glasses wearer, I have a pair for night time driving, but just like going to the dentist or the doctor, I get my regular check ups. My family members are frequent glasses wearers, so I have been visiting optometrists regularly for almost 30 years, and Dr Ross is by far the most courteous, understanding, and knowledgeable one I have come across. He took the time to go over each test and why they were doing them as well as explained the results with me. He didn't talk down to me, and he answered all my questions patiently until I understood it completely. I highly recommend visiting Eye Spy Optometry, whether for an exam or a new pair of sunglasses, you won't be disappointed!

The sunglasses should have come in a commemorative box along side a Ferrari monogrammed cleaning cloth. When my pair arrived I was disappointed that these items were not included as I was handed only the sunglasses. When I expressed my desire to have the retail box I was belittled and ushered out of the store. A staff member assured me that they would source one out but of course that never happened. I cannot recommend Lenscrafters Southcentre Mall location.

My husband bought a pair of glasses and he thought he found the perfect pair at Ollie Quinn. The floor model fit perfectly, snug in all the right place. When he picked up the glasses he ordered, they couldn't adjust it to fit anything like the floor model. To get the arms to be snug, the glasses were bent and the look was ruined. If it was straightened out to look good, the arms were so loose, the glasses would slip off. He complained and the manager approved to have them redone at a higher index which was suppose to be thinner lenses that would help keep the original shape and feel. My husband had originally ordered progressives, but he didn't like the distortion so he requested they not do it on the new pair. He picked up the new pair and I asked about the difference in price since he cancelled the progressive which adds about $100. I was told it was offset by the cost of the higher index on these new lenses. Low and behold, they still could not adjust it correctly. And all they would refund was $75 for the frame. They kept $325 for all this hassle! So hope you aren't picky about your glasses cause they will take your money. By the way, their progressive technology is the older one, everything they do is probably older technology and that's why they cost less then other big name stores. Beware.

There is a whide range of beautiful designer frames, not a lot of cheaper options though. They have a good assortment of reading magazines, coffee and water in the waiting area. The reseptionist and staff are quite friendly and efficient. Their prices for contacts are standard. I once had to exchange one type of unopened contacts for another and there was no issue. They did undercharge me once, so they tacked the difference on to my next vist, but it wasn't a big deal. Dr. Michelle Naruszewicz, who I see, makes my visits so easy going! She explains everything thouroughly to me, even showing me pictures of what she is talking about! For instance I had minor inflammation under my eye lids, she recommended only what was needed to treat it and nothing else. She is what makes me want to come back and what makes me want to take care of my eyes. I highly recommend visiting Mountian View, they will take care of you well!

I recently went to Mission Eye care for my 2 year check up…read more I was so impressed with the staff and the service they provided. From the minute I entered the office I felt very comfortable. The staff were all friendly & professional. The lady that selects the frames (after taking a look at my face) was impressive ! She sat me down, looked at my face shape, did a four finger measure and returned with 6 pairs of frames. Every frame was a fit ! She knows exactly what she's doing. The 1st pair I tried were perfect they looked great on me. The Optometrist was fantastic. I've had eye examinations before but never one as thorough as the one at Mission Eye Care. The Doctor was polite, professional & she gave my eyes the most thorough examination I ever had. I did mention that my previous eye exams were no where near as detailed as the examination she did and the Doctor was genuinely surprised that had been my experience. Every detail in this store is illuminated. Even the floor is glittery. Backwalls and displays are lit with blue and purple lights. Too rich for my blood, I thought. It wasn't until I was actually looking for an optical place, I walked into Optiko. Browsing around, I found a good selection of brand name eyewear. They carry Chrome Hearts (which is pretty ballin since there's less than a handful of places that do). They don't carry the usual selection of brands other optical places carry. An honorable mention, is the amount of unique designer peices they stock. I can't say many places carry the wood frame Ray Bans or the Cat eye Prada frames. Simply put, most stores won't carry them for fear of them not being able to sell. What does this mean for Calgary shoppers? Limited selection, limited choices and boring standard products. The eclectic, the unique and fashionable live here. Optiko breaks the mold for the safe and standard. Kudos for having the best selectiof of upscale designer products and ever friendly staff. The place had a very modern vibe to it - vibrant colors, plush seating, extensive eyewear collection, well placed counters and excellent associates. Dr…read more Kloepfer recommended I get 4 Forma Radio Frequency (RF) as well as Lumecca Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments. My first treatment was done in January 2026, administered by a very skilled and gentle-mannered young woman named Hannah. She talked me through everything she was going to do, and made sure I was comfortable with the heat of the RF and the strength of the IPL pulses. Once she was done, she gave my face a wonderful, soothing massage. After this she called on Dr. Kloepfer to express the ducts along the edges of my eyelids. That's when he showed me which areas of my eyelids were in good functioning order, and which were blocked or atrophied. It gave me a good understanding of the condition of my eyes and how the further 3 treatments would improve my condition. I have now completed my treatments and am very happy with the results. I highly recommend these treatments and this clinic. My sincere thanks to Hannah and Dr. Kloepfer!

Hello review #900!…read more I moved to Toronto 3 years ago and haven't bothered to find an Optomitrist so I figured while I was back in town for the holidays I would get an eye exam. The offices are really nice and have a modern look and feel. They layout seems a little odd but you always have someone directing you around so you can't get lost. The doctors have changed over the years but I've always had a great exam with each. The only reason I'm deducting a star is because of price. The exam itself is $110 compared to around $75 for a standard exam. I wear Acuvue Advanced contact lenses and Health Plus charges $40 per box. Clearly Contacts charges $32.99, a pretty big difference.
