We were also offered additional services and added on 2 nail clippings that were $15 each. A total of $130. We arrived Friday March 28th around 630pm to pick up our dogs and it was a different person at the desk. When it came to paying the bill it came out to $204.75 . When we tried to dispute this, we were told that sometimes the computer is wrong when calculating the amount at the time and that there was no way to offer the price point we were quoted and had to pay the amount it showed her at the time of pick up. We had to pay the amount to get our pups back. After coming home and unpacking the dogs backpack I noticed there was more food left in the backpack than there should be. There was 8 bags packed for the 2 dogs meals. 2 for Thurs morning, 2 for Thurs evening . 2 for Friday morning and 2 for Fri evening. The staff was told on drop off their breakfast was in the bag and was assured they would be fed their breakfast after they were checked in. In the backpack there was 4 bags of food left over. I can understand that 2 of the bags would have been for Fridays evening meal but we arrived when they were about to do dinner and they were not fed. This wasn't the problem. There were 2 other left over bags which means our dogs were not fed one of their meals between being dropped off and picked up. When I called the facilities to explain the situation the lady was not as pleasant to deal with and one point told me to stop talking so she could talk. We were told that 1. the price point the person at the time of check in shouldn't have quoted the lower rate and even if it was incorrect we would still need to pay the higher price since they don't have the right authorization or the access on the computer to adjust it. I explained that If someone on your staff offered us this price whether or not they authorized it, they represent this business so someone needs to correct this. 2. When I mentioned our dogs were not fed one of their meals and were neglected, there was no empathy towards the situation. I asked her what if the tables were reversed and her dogs werent properly taken care of. She had no response. She originally offered looking into getting the difference in price comped but once she found out about the dogs missing their meals she asked if I wanted the full amount to be refunded. I said at the very least this should be done but any further consideration I will discuss with upper management, She took down my info and said they would call me. Since it was Easter weekend, I should have received a call on Tuesday at the very latest. I did not receive any call. I am unsure if the employee passed along this concern or if upper management even cares. I called in today to follow up and was told i needed to send an email to stu@clubmead.com . There was no mention of this when I called Friday evening. We have placed our dogs with this facility a few times before but after this incident we will not be returning. Since posting this on other media outlets, I have also had other people come forward confirming similar situations with their pets as well. I did send an email this afternoon so I am hoping someone in this organization will reach out as this was not handled in a proper manner since the beginning.

It was not only a beyond frustrating experience and I do not believe my dog was treated very well. The lack of communication from before my dog was even dropped off should have been enough to tip the scales, but with such high reviews for Monika Stuehler (the owner), I simply brushed it off. When I dropped my dog off, I wasn't able to meet Monika to discuss the issues about my dog, and I wasn't able to show the commands / hand signals that my dog did know. Half way through my dogs stay we were supposed to go in for a training session and then another session upon pickup. Monika called that morning to cancel on us and said she would be in contact to set up an appointment. Well 9 days into a 10 stay, we still hadn't heard anything. Finally at about 8pm she tells us it's a go for tomorrow. We show up the next day and Monika is not there, just someone else to give us her excuse and give our dog back. Once home with my dog I notice she has sores on her face from where a muzzle or halti would be so either they had something too tight or they were pulling on her aggressively. These wounds were wet with pus so they were fresh and easy to see. No one mentioned any of this to me, I was always told she was doing well. I have no idea what my dog was taught, if anything. I have no idea why my dog has sores on her face. I have no idea why my dog wouldn't let me pet her for two days. I have no idea why I didn't get to meet the person my dog was staying with. And when I try to reach out for someone to contact me on Facebook, my post gets deleted and who is the only admin? You guessed it, Monika. I wouldn't doubt if this post gets deleted. Do not go here. They are very unprofessional and I do not believe they treat all the dogs with respect. If I could attach pictures of how sad my dog looked on her stay, and the small area she was in with 10+ dogs next to a janitor pail and mop, I would, but I can't.

I can wholeheartedly say the entire team (Adam, Nick, Angie, Corenna, and Brenda) are people I would trust my dogs with. Mully is a German Shepherd mix with anxiety and, although she loves people, she's not always so great with other dogs and she seems to have a thing about hats. Don't ask... Anyway, the team is so patient with her and practices from a place of reward training instead of punishment. My other dog, Cooper, literally whines for part of the drive home after leaving because he misses them (he LOVES his Corenna). He can tell when we're going there and bursts with excitement on the drive. It's funny. More than anything, I learn a lot from them. They make me feel like I am a good dog owner and I can overcome the things that I think I'm struggling with. They give me the tools to be better and are willing to call me out on my excuses. That part kind of sucks, but they're sweet about it. The only drawback for me is the pickup times - sometimes it's hard to get there by 6 pm due to the nature of my job, but I just work around it by only bringing the dogs to doggy day care on the days I know something urgent is unlikely. Whatever you need for your dog, I'm pretty sure they can help you figure it out in a way that works for your lifestyle.
