Forst time was for an inspection semi last minute, wasn't an issue dropped it off 1 hr later picked it up. Squeezed me right in, and then I came down to ask about a loud squeak he lifted it up found the squeak relubed as needed and found my bad tie rod. Now , I'll be having it repaired right there. I recommend anyone that needs so sound assistance with vehicle issues to see Ken. Trust me If you want to get robbed…read morelegitimately come here .Chris seems like he doesnt want to here what the customer doesnt agree on and seems a bit rude and sketchy attitude ,I took my car to get my oil changed with me providing the oil and filter, airconditoner recharged ,my suspension and wheels check because my car vibrates and shakes at 60 mph.I told them that my battery wasnt holding charge but that i knew that it was just that i had to replace the battery .So he told me that they could check the battery and i told him that he didnt have to, so they charged me $140 to check which i didnt agree on.Plus I needed to remove some spacers I had on my exhaust and replace a diverter valve spacer.They never checked the suspension because the tech never drove the car and the tech said that the suspension was fine and that there was nothing wrong with it and the problem is still there.The airconditoner was never charged and charged me $149 for that.Charged me $140 to replace the diverter valve spacer which is a 15 minute job so they charge and hour for that.The only thing they were fare with was the oil change which was $60 . These guys are thieves, they charge $140 just to check each thing you want to be checked but they never check anything.I trusted these guys because the owner of this shop seemed honest .I had to go to meineke and got my airconditoner charged there and my airconditoner works fine now . So I spent $690 for all that and only got spacers on the exhaust removed a spacer replaced from my diverter valve and oil change.I feel so stupid taking my car here ,they are a bunch of scammers . I think they don't care if the customer doesn't come back . You guys charged me for work that was never done to the car. I took my car to Meineke and got my AC recharged and it works fine . You was suppose to fix my suspension shaking issue and never even check it. You are a bunch of thieves including the owner . You said you checked my battery free of charge but charged me $140 ,and I told you that I knew I needed a battery. After evaluating my Ford I was told that there was a Technical Bulletin that came out from Ford several years ago. I am impressed that they did the research to evaluate my car. They told me I did NOT NEED A TRANSMISSION. I only needed an update on the vehicle computer. Here's the numbers. Ford wanted $3500 for a rebuilt transmission. A new transmission was $6000. Final cost at Scotty's $150 to evaluate $250 to upload the new software Total $400.00 Can't say enough good things about this place. Talk about trusting a Mecanic!!! On my way to a campground in North Jersey I lost most of my braking ability, basically having to floor the brake pedal to come to a stop. Turns out a rear brake line rotted out and leaked a lot of fluid. Calling around local shops without a return call I finally got a hold of Rick at Portland Auto Repair and explained our situation. He showed up at my campground which was 20 minutes away to evaluate my truck. He needed to bring it back to the shop so the next day he and his employee came and drove my truck behind his vehicle back to the shop for repairs. The following day he returned to my campsite and picked me up. The repairs were done plus and after an hour I was driving back to my camping trip with a reliable tow vehicle again. Thanks goes out to all the guys in the shop for getting my vacation back on the road safely! And reasonably I may add.
