I wish I could give this place 4.5 stars - because I love their coffee! I always get a soy latté…read more(or the iced version in the summer). It never fails to please. Latté's always hot enough, creamy, and tastes just the right amount of bitter... Sooo delicious. In my opinion, it's the absolute best in this part of the city. Also, staff is really friendly and it's a local (tiny) chain ; just a few more reasons to visit! I love going there for casual brunch on the weekends. I like their yogurt parfait with toast (or one of their homestyle muffins), a big bowl of café au lait and the papers. Ahhh. Good times! Also, their crumble is pretty darn good. And try the sugar pie, you won't be sorry! ;) Crowd is pretty diverse (a mix of students, families and retirees), there's free wifi and plenty of seating. The only drawbacks are the lack of natural light (few windows, since it's inside a mini food emporium/mall building called les Halles de Sainte-Foy) and the fact that they close pretty early. Oh well!

We also shared a raspberry chocolate pastry which was okay. Maybe better if it was toasted but it wasn't offered as an option. My mocha cappuccino was deep in flavor and cocoa powder, not syrup, was used. Even with the almond milk it was still rich and the milk to coffee ratio was just right. The americano was a good cup. Interior is clean, modern and cozy. Seating is generous and spacious. Their counter is nice and centered. Our barista was efficient and friendly. Would recommend this in the downtown area, about 1.25 miles away from old Quebec.

Where I come from, you are lucky to find chocolate dip and maybe butterscotch or strawberry. 20 flavors is an insane amount!! In the course of my visit to Quebec, we collectively tried: salted caramel, peanut butter, coffee, sugar cream/fudge, hazelnut and dolce de leche. My favs were the coffee and salted caramel. In addition to the dipped cones, they offer hot chocolate, dipped ice cream sandwiches, gelato, etc. I would be happy coming in for an epic euro-style hot chocolate in the winter months too. The service is great. Prices are expected for the area, close to $4 CAD for a small dipped cone. I think the prices are quite reasonable for how good it is. If you haven't been here yet, go now!!
