I wish I could give this place 4.5 stars - because I love their coffee! I always get a soy latté…read more(or the iced version in the summer). It never fails to please. Latté's always hot enough, creamy, and tastes just the right amount of bitter... Sooo delicious. In my opinion, it's the absolute best in this part of the city. Also, staff is really friendly and it's a local (tiny) chain ; just a few more reasons to visit! I love going there for casual brunch on the weekends. I like their yogurt parfait with toast (or one of their homestyle muffins), a big bowl of café au lait and the papers. Ahhh. Good times! Also, their crumble is pretty darn good. And try the sugar pie, you won't be sorry! ;) Crowd is pretty diverse (a mix of students, families and retirees), there's free wifi and plenty of seating. The only drawbacks are the lack of natural light (few windows, since it's inside a mini food emporium/mall building called les Halles de Sainte-Foy) and the fact that they close pretty early. Oh well!

We woke up in Quebec City hungry and without a plan, and a quick search crowned L'Épicurien the…read morehome of the city's best buckwheat crêpes. A bold claim, and one this modest Avenue Maguire café wears with quiet confidence. The room is bright and unpretentious, a neighbourhood café with a patisserie's polish, its counter of macarons and pastries tempting you before you've even taken a seat. The cooking is honest rather than showy. A little more seasoning and textural contrast would lift it from very good to truly memorable, but this is exactly the kind of brunch you hope to stumble upon in a new city. Service was warm, attentive and unhurried in the best French manner. A worthy detour from the Old City for anyone serious about a proper crêpe. I'd happily return, and I recommend the brunch without hesitation.

While searching for authentic crêpes in Quebec City, I discovered L'Épicurien -- a hidden gem that…read moredeserves far more recognition than its modest number of reviews might suggest. It quickly became the best crêperie I experienced during my time in the city. I sampled both the leek and smoked salmon crêpe as well as the bacon and mushroom. Each showcased a level of freshness and care that set this spot apart. The smoked salmon, prepared in-house, carried a delicate sweetness that perfectly complemented the savory crêpe. The bacon, while not crisp in the traditional sense, was deeply flavorful and harmonized beautifully with earthy mushrooms. Dessert was equally memorable. I couldn't resist a box of six macarons, offered in a variety of flavors, each one crafted with finesse -- light, balanced, and satisfying without being overly sweet. L'Épicurien is a place where quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation shine. It's an unassuming spot that rewards those who step inside. I would gladly return and recommend it to anyone in search of an exceptional crêpe experience in Quebec City
