I love to read! It's my favorite pastime. For many years now I've moved away from physical reading…read morematerials to electronics, so I don't patronize my library much anymore for myself. However, I have several older neighbors who need a little help finding the books they want so I bring them and assist them with the process. Arriving- Just seconds off Main St. with a nice sized parking lot so access it easy. Ambience- This is a small library but it's clean and up to date. After one visit you will have figured it out. Note that computers with internet access can get busy and there may be a wait. You might also be limited to 1 hour. Customer Service- Great, knowledgeable folks and always ready to help with a smile! Products- Books, periodicals, audio books, music, internet access and more. Check their website for the ton of stuff they have. Conclusion- The only reason I'm giving them four stars instead of five is the fairly frequent wait for internet access. The folks that need it often can't afford it at home and it's a lifeline for them. A few more computers wouldn't hurt.

My son left his book unattended and our dog chewed it up when I went to explain to the librarian what happened she was so understanding. I paid for the book and told her that we would definitely be more careful in the future. My family definitely loves coming here. There are several computers to use and it has a decent amount of parking. It is always clean when I walk in and the kids section has toys, books, tables to draw on and computers for them to use. I had a collection of National Geographic Magazines in beautiful condition that was over 30 years old, and could find no one to take them. I hated the thought of having to destroy them. I called them after many days of trying to find someone to take them, and they agreed to take them in and use some in there store and the rest in the library. I was so happy that they received a home where they would be appreciated for the incredible works that they are. I cannot thank them enough for being so caring and helpful. We found free parking on College St one block away. It cost about $30 & you can get a AAA discount. They give you a small audio ear piece & you can hear Jack in your ear as you walk from building to building. If you're a FLW fan, this is a singular experience.

I also appreciated some of her strong opinions about the architecture and the architect. Our tour had many delights along our walking/exploring journey. (Pro Tip: The Ashley Gibson Barnett Museum of Art (The AGB) at Florida Southern College is extraordinary, and you will find several local-flavor restaurants nearby.)

When you go in through the entrance there is a coffee shop on the left and then they have a used bookstore which was where we were headed. The actual library is through another set of doors to the right. We spent quite a bit of time in the bookstore going through the wide selection of used books they had available. I found one book on the racks they had out in front of it and then stumbled across three more I wanted while inside. All four of the books I bought happened to be Stephen King novels but they had a lot of other good choices. My kids picked up a couple of books for gifts as well while we were there. The people working the store were very friendly and helpful.

I hear rumors they may rebuild. Hope so. Anyhow, this library on Aaron St. is great and they have been busy trying to fill in for the the closed library. And I confess I love the FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY. I donate and buy many books from the used book stores by the libraries. I just read (from their used book store) the play A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE. I confess I never read it before and it was a fun fast read. Then I found the play on television and watched it. Loved them both.

Everything from the layout to the very friendly and informed staff is great. I love the work tables/workstations for setting up my computer and working on my graphic arts business. The ambiance, layout, lighting, and traffic makes for a great balance between being able to concentrate and yet have the feeling of being surrounded by a nice buzz of quiet activity. The hours are good, though I miss the good old days when libraries were open late on Friday evenings, and some even open on Sunday afternoons.

After living in the area for almost a year, we finally made the trek here to sign up for a library…read morecard. Unfortunately, this is the closest library to us and it's in what seems like a very sketchy area. The building is very rundown, carpets are filthy, and restrooms are extremely dirty. The selection is bleak at best. We did like that there was a completely separate kids area but that was the only thing that we liked about this library. The staff didnt acknowledge us until we went up to the desk and even then, the guy wasn't the friendliest. We got a card but I don't see myself coming back to this location unless it's to renew the card and have access to Libby.
