That's a much easier way of saying a Cardiologist that specializes in Electrophysiology. These are the docs you go if your ticker might have an electrical problem. In my case it was Dr. Safi Ahmed. Font-of-the Office- A well-oiled machine! Pleasant seating area. Friendly folks. The paperwork was one signature on one sheet of paper. Don't you love it when computerization works! Physician's Assistant- As usual, at least for me, you see a PA first who does the basics and sets you up for the doc to come in. She was competent and friendly. I waited ten or fifteen minutes until the doc came in. The Doctor- First impressions were great! Bedside manner is important to me, and he was friendly but got right down to business which I appreciated. His explanations were great without too much medical jargon. Most importantly, I didn't feel rushed. It turns out that my ticker didn't need lot of work which was great news! In the future, if my heart blows a circuit this is where I'll go!

I've reviewed them before, but this is an update focusing on their testing services! But wait you say, "I've been using one of those two big testing chains that seem to be everywhere." One of those is much closer to me, but I still go here for testing and here's why- 1. Easy Parking- Park in the big front entrance lot. If you are mobility impaired or just not feeling well, a volunteer in a golf cart will pick you up at your car and run you to the front door. 2. Wonderful Hours- 6AM-5PM M-F. 3. No Appointment Needed- I usually wait less than 10 minutes. Note that if you desire, the app will let you make an appointment. Pro Tip- A lot of folks have an order for a "fasting" blood test. So, they fast overnight and show up first thing in the morning. The morning rush ends around 10AM. 4. Solid App- Generally you get your results the same time your Dr. does. 5. Crazy Fast Results. Most folks get some type of blood test or urinalysis, and I've done both many times. My drive home is 7 miles and usually, while I'm driving, my app notifies me the results are available! That's incredible! As you can tell, I'm a huge fan of testing here. When you're going for these tests, you're already under some stress because something might be wrong. The last thing you need is more stress and I don't experience that here! 5 stars!

OUTPATIENT OVERPRICED !! I was seen at Advent Health Medical Group, great place, and was sent to…read morethe hospital outpatient with a X-ray order "Stat". When I checked in, the people at the front desk told me that the X-Ray with 2 views had an estimate of $1100 with my insurance. I declined it. In the past they have charged me $200. I'm here at an urgent care that charges $100 for the same X-ray, out of pocket. I have to be seen again and I need to pay again, but it's worth it. I've attached a picture of proof. I recommend that you DO NOT USE THIS OUTPATIENT FACILITY. THEIR BILLING COSTS ARE RIDICULOUS.

You can ignore that first sentence as that was just wishful thinking! I did my research that included the net, friends and relatives and of course the thoughts of my Primary. I picked these fine folks and in specific Dr. Winn. The Appointment Process- They endeavor to do a lot of the process online. You get links by email and text to complete the paperwork. Checking In- The 1st step is easy because they have three check-in windows! They handed me a clipboard with a mountain of paperwork much of which I had completed online! When I queried them, I was told just to complete the portions I hadn't seen online. Then why did they give it to me! They need to fix this. Minus one star. The Physician's Assistant- She was excellent. We got all the basics out of the way very efficiently. Dr. Winn- Young and whip smart with a no-nonsense style but at the same time very friendly. I loved her bedside manner! We got to the heart (pun intended) of the matter within minutes. So first impressions were very good. I have a bunch of tests to endure during the coming weeks. Maybe I can get back to twice a day sex!
