The folks at SeaView Optical could not have shown more empathy. They promise 1-day turn around for glasses, and on two of my three glasses, they delivered. The third was supposed to be back in one week but the supplier messed up and the lenses didn't come in for three weeks. Chris Savage was wonderful -- he never gave up on me and because the lenses were so late, he cut the price in half. And that told me they care about their customers more than their profits. Nice shop in one of the plazas off Federal highway near Fresh Market. Everyone was nice and welcoming. I came here because one of my favorite pairs of sunglasses broke (the screw came off one of the sides of the sunglasses). They right away took my sunglasses and fixed it right away. I'm not sure about the quality of their work so far, I did have to return the only pair of glasses from them due to lenses shredding very quickly. I found Seaview Optical, after I went to the now defunct Eagle Eye Eyeglasses and had Chuck custom make me transitions/blue glare reduction for daily computer use and for $600+ you would assume they would be scratch resistant but after I fell asleep in them and they fell on the floor and scratched super easy I come to find out they were easily scratched and when I went back to ask him why he would charge me so much money for such inferior work, that did not include scratch free lenses. But I was unable to do so because Chuck had skipped out on the rent with no forwarding address. So it comes with great peace of mind knowing that Seaview optical has been in the area for 20 + years. I never really had given much thought as to how long a store has been around but now I truly realize how very important it is. Chris Savage has been my main point of contact at Seaview and he has been helpful in every facet of my purchase process. Furthermore, when dealing with anyone else they have been very accommodating and pleasant to work with. I highly recommend this store not only because they have a top notch selection of high end frames but they make sure everything is done right no matter what it takes. For example during the cutting process they did not use anti glare or something to that effect and instead of just passing it off and playing it off like those are what I ordered, Chris made sure that the proper lenses were cut and that it was done 'PERFECT" and that I was happy with everything when all was said and done. This is the most awesome eye doctor I've ever been to!!! Everyone that works here is super nice, polite, and hip!! All the frames are so much fun, it just makes you wanna get them all! The doctor is super professional and caring, answered all of my questions and did my exam quickly but thoroughly. Rudeness and unorganized customer service. They never notify/return calls /messages since the day of the order. I had to call them myself, and every time Ive heard different excuses for 3 delays. Called today, I asked politely how and when they notify customers (call/message/email ) on order status, person on the phone got so rude told me he can cancel my order and generally get my benefits returned... !? I wasn't planning to do so, but after hearing that I said yes he immediately hung up on me! I'm shocked, never seen any service like that. I recently moved to Florida and chose Seaview Optical for an updated vision exam (much delayed due to COVID) and to obtain reading/distance glasses and sun glasses. The care I received overall was/is excellent. I went in for my eye exam and immediately after was able to choose, configure, and order my new glasses at their service counter. The gentleman I worked with was extremely patient and helpful, showing and allowing me to sample a wide array of different frames for reading and sun glasses until I found ones that I liked. He was able to pull up the manufacturers' websites so that I could further customize the frame type, style, color (front and sides of frames) and even add personalized text on the frame. He helped me configure the wide variety of options and materials and knew the products in depth (which is not always the case with partner vendors). My glasses were ready within a few weeks, which is quick considering that they were highly customized. I believe that more utilitarian frames are ready within few hours. All-in-all, I highly recommend Seaview Optical for eye exams and glasses, whether you're looking for something utilitarian or highly customized. read more

I purchased eyeglasses and when the lenses were scratched, they honored the warranty and replaced them. However during that process, they broke the frame which was not under warranty but they replaced it free of charge. However I have magnetic sunglass attachment and the magnets were not lining up. When I returned to the store, they claim the glasses need an adjustment but the frame may break again and they will not be responsible. Hence $1150 eyeglasses are now unusable in the sun. Very very poor customer service!!!! read more

Fantastic! The selection is amazing with unique designers. The staff---amazing. Chris helped me yesterday and I was getting headaches from my glasses--not purchased from them! They turned around 2 pairs of prescriptive glasses in 12 hours. One a Japanese designer who only hand makes and numbers 500 of a pair before retiring the style. That was my splurge pair. The other same prescription -- I asked for an inexpensive pair that I didn't care if I lost or trashed. Chris came through on both. I'm styling now! I have been a patient of this office for approximately 3 years and up until recently I had a good experience. I had an appointment scheduled for today and before my arrival I ask if they verified my insurance which indicates my visit is covered 100%. When I arrived they told me I had to pay $149. I asked why and the front desk explained that it isn't covered.by insurance well after going back and forth still not understanding what is happening a mamager who I have never seen before yelled at me saying i was being rude and can not talk with "her" staff like that. Well confused by these allegations I proceeded to say cancel my appointment and i left and theanager kept yelling at me very rudly in front of other patients. I proceeded to call my insurance company which verified that I do not have to pay so yhe insurance company called and spoke to the front desk which told him I was no longer a patient and that its is thier policy to charge. What? Well anyway I know other patients are unaware this is not an insurance issue this is Seaview policy issue. BE AWARE! Iwant to add that at no time was i rude to anyone. When I lived in northern N.J. I only ever used a Ophthalmologist (MD) for all of my family's eye care needs. Things are a little different here in South Florida so I was a little unsure about going to see an Optometrist. However the care and exam went above and beyond. We have used all the Optometrists but especially like Dr. Radice. She is extremely thorough and competent. The entire staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. We love when Chris helps us because he has impeccable taste in glasses and their selection of glasses is probably the best around. Virtually NO MASKED employees (mostly young ladies fill the ranks). When I asked one, she invoked her HIPAA rights and wouldn't tell me. This kind of business is full of touchables and close contact. Very nice people and service but I will not/Never go back as I cannot get vaccinated. Was there for eye doctor issue. YELP, GOOGLE and many other websites and apps can be a wonderful asset to pursue information as part of my decision making process to better allow me to capture the full breadth of available information to hopefully make an educated decision before spending hard earned money. People share information; some to help others, some to seek revenge after a bad experience whether or not the other party is to blame. Some posters embellish, some may try to help a business to benefit themselves, so I try hard to "fact-check" what I read to determine what is factual vs. what is fictional. I urge all reading this to do the same, to of course include my post(s)! Close review can easily be a "tell" of the true motive of the author. Is the author intelligent, articulate, honest, trustworthy, ethical, yada, yada? This is what I try to learn about BOTH, the business AND the author of the review to try to better understand if my money will be well spent with the person or business I am considering doing business with. Of course everyone wants a good deal, a fair and equitable price should suit all; my most important concern however is to do business with truly wonderful humans that cherish honesty, integrity, yada yada. I don't need the lowest price; I personally need to trust and have confidence in the person or business I am considering spending a lot of money with! I buy 3 or more pair of glasses every year. HIGH DOLLAR purchases. China (PRC) aside, I believe most all frames are manufactured in Italy, especially the very well known HIGH DOLLAR brand names. I buy my frames from www.otticanet.com based just west of Milan. 100% authentic of course, as well as shipped Fedex to me, as well as shipping and duty paid by them. On average, 40% to 70+% off what most people pay at local stores. Luxottica manufactures Chanel, Oliver Peoples, Prada, Oakley, Ray-Ban, Tiffany & Co., Persol, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana and others. A monopoly? No, but close. Marcolin makes Tom Ford, Swarovski, Zegna, Gant, Guess, DSquared, Kenneth Cole & others. Kering makes Gucci and Cartier. Safilo makes Dior, Kate Spade, Jimmy Choo, Rag & Bone and others. I yesterday took delivery of 3 pair of Chopard (more later) made by De Rigo, just north of Venice. Most big brand names are hand made. I've been a Silhouette "minimalist" kinda guy for 10 years, shifting to a big bold Persol kinda guy long before the late great chef Anthony Bourdain became a user of a collection of 50+. Local Sunglass Hut, I believe now Luxottica owned? has my Steve McQueen model #0714 for $380.00. I paid $162.00 each of many pair from Otticanet. My Chopard SCH291 from a famous Swiss brand, owned by a very wealthy German family, again are Italian hand-made, retail for $690.00 USD which I bought from Otticanet for $389.00 USD each. Otticanet paid Fedex, USA duty, paid their workers, overhead, etc., and obviously still made money, so you can imagine the HUGE mark-up on eyeglasses!! Both retired and Covid issues worldwide kept me from visiting top labs I have used for decades in places such as Germany, France, Singapore, Italy, Hong Kong and other 5* labs worldwide. **IMPORTANT** My complete review is another 4 typewritten pages, way too long for a Yelp review; hence, rejected, so BOTTOM LINE: 1* overall - 4 pair glasses were cut, 1 Rx and Mr. Savage and Seaview presented 4 different results, as identical as a zebra, giraffe, hippo & snake. Workmanship, quality control, honesty, integrity, yada yada, 1* is being generous. Embellished retail prices make one seem to be getting a great price. FACT CHECK EVERYTHING! I have a long paper trail of products, prices, hand written by Mr. Savage which he ironically denies. Overcharged for products not received, credit card investigation proved me right. Mr. Savage is smooth; proceed with caution and AGAIN, FACT CHECK EVERYTHING Mr. Savage and his lab says and does. You can easily learn "REAL FACTS" online to avoid "alternative facts" . I never expected the lowest price; fair & equitable should suit all. I hoped for honesty, integrity, ethical dealing and received poor quality, lots of tap- dancing and promises never kept. Anyways, now that I've commented on that. My experience was like the majority of people who left a review for SeaView optical... AmAzInG! I've been having headaches since getting a job that mostly requires me to work in front of a computer screen and have always noticed that my left eye requires a little more effort to focus. The Optometrist confirmed what I thought and told me I strained to focus and have astigmatism. She was very patient, friendly and explained every test and diagnosis to me. I have to raveeeee about Christine. If you go here, ask for her! After being told I needed a prescription it took a minute for it to settle in that I would be wearing glasses almost everyday. She said "think of them like an accessory!" and BAM instant connection. Let's start looking around. She was open and honest with me when trying on glasses and verrryyyy patient because I'm so picky! STAY AWAY - SCAM!! Owners and employees are scam artists. Had an eye exam and bought frames with my updated prescription. Found a frame I liked but they were too small, the salesperson convinced me this was the only size that existed so I purchased them and had the prescription put in. When I picked them up, I noticed there was a bigger size frame in the same style and asked if I could exchange to that style. They said yes, took back my original framed and said they would order my new pair and could pick them up 2 weeks later. Three weeks later I come in to pick them up and they say they have no record of me ever returning my glasses and asking to exchange them. I talked to the person I gave them to and she said she didn't remember me. This eyeglass store cost me $500. Never come here. True scam artists. read more
