While my PRK eye still has some healing to do it was nothing like the internet made it out to be, and the team does everything to ensure you are comfortable and not in any pain. I have been working with the Katzen team since March of this year when I went in for my first evaluation. Because I was a long time RGP contact user, it took me a bit more time to be approved while only wearing glasses. Fast forward almost 3 months later, and I am writing this review without anything but my corrected eyes! It is truly amazing and the procedure was quick and painless (though you couldn't have told my nerves that the day I had it done). If you are on the fence about visiting Katzen Laser, DO IT. I did a lot of research before finally making the call for an evaluation and my only regret is not doing it sooner. I wouldn't trust my eyes anywhere else. I went back recently for my annual eye exam and met Dr. Kaufman, who really knows his stuff and has a sense of humor too. I kinda felt like I was talking with a college professor as he explained everything to me so clearly. When I took the various tests he actually seemed to be happy that my eyes were in such good shape! A great experience, and the staff is very lovely too. Upon arrival, I was greeted, issued appropriate paperwork to fill out, and insurance information verified. My appointment was in two parts; eye health check up and prescription review and testing. My technician and Dr. Mann were both professional, attentive, and capable. I waited a total of 10- minutes for my first exam and less than two for the second. After updating my eyeglass prescription Dr. Man. Walked me out and introduced me to the young woman who would assist me in eyeglass selction and sending out my glasses. I told her my budget and she made sure that my progressives, transitions, anti-glare, and kodak-ultra thin lenses would all be included in my fee. I purchased their buy-2 plan so my eye exam was complimentary/included. In lieu of insurance I was able to receive my 10% military discount. We came in $200 under budget. I got two gorgeous pairs of glasses and had a lot of fun with mytech, Natcheda. I was in and out in an hour. MIRACULOUS! I loved my experience. Glasses will be ready in under 2-weeks; likely 8-days.
