Seattle Staged to Sell markets themselves as highly professional, but our experience was a case study in arrogance and denial of responsibility. They took multiple pieces of our personal furniture and décor during de-staging and then acted as though it was somehow our fault for not reporting it fast enough. The missing items included sentimental pieces that were never returned. What's astonishing is how little effort was made to repair the situation. Rather than prioritizing an apology or proactive resolution, their first communication was a demand for payment -- while our belongings were still missing. Even once items were eventually located, no meaningful concession was offered. They refused to acknowledge the seriousness of their mistake and minimized it at every turn. Blaming the customer ("you should have told us sooner") while holding onto our property is unacceptable. A reputable company would take ownership, apologize without conditions, and offer fair compensation. Instead, SSTS nickel-and-dimed us, hid behind their contract, and shifted blame. If you want to deal with a company that talks down to its clients, charges top dollar for mediocre work, wastes your time, and shows zero accountability when they make serious mistakes, then this is the staging company for you. For everyone else: stay far away. read more

Seattle Staged to Sell staged our home in March 2025. Their designer recommended a "partial stage" using many pieces of our personal furniture, housewares, and decor. When they de-staged our home they ended up taking several of our own expensive items (including an area rug, floor lamps, vases, and sculptures), those same standards were not applied. This was especially disconcerting because we were told that during staging, SSTS would not move existing furniture under any circumstances, yet during the de-staging moved a steel frame four-post bed to take our area rug from upstairs in our bedroom. SSTS prides itself as highly professional and reputable, but our experience was the exact opposite. The owner, Shirin, imposes strict rules on homeowners with language in the contract that heavily protects the company, but does not take ANY responsibility for damages to the homeowners property or for missing items. Once notified that they had taken our things, many weeks went by without any attempt to make things right. Instead of an apology or resolution, the first communication we received from them was a reminder that our invoice was unpaid. Ultimately, most but not all of our items were located and returned to us, with the exception of a sentimental sculpture and a wall mirror. I had requested that our total invoice be reduced for the inconvenience and was told no. No concession was offered to me for the major inconvenience, and I was told I can follow up with them in "court or litigation." Upon push back, SSTS agreed take $250 off of our nearly $10,000 bill. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Seattle Staged to Sell given the lack of accountability and professionalism experienced. read more

I have hired Seattle Staged To Sell for two different projects and have been very impressed with Shirin's work. When I was selling my condo on Capitol Hill, my realtor recommended Shirin to stage the place. For staging jobs she is primarily tuned into what will help the place sell. When I posted the photos all my friends commented on how well-staged the place was, and it sold in a week for my asking price. Shirin was really on top of things and easy to work with. I had such a good experience that I turned to Shirin when I wanted to completely redo my bedroom (new furniture, draperies, wall colors). On a personal (ie. not staging) project like this Shirin works in a completely different mode where she works hard to learn your personal style of what you like and don't like. I was really impressed with how incredibly perceptive Shirin was about this. For example, prior to hiring Shirin I had painted my bedroom blue, but I didn't like the blue color I had chosen. Shirin picked up on the fact that my blue color had a little bit of red in it, and that maybe that wasn't agreeing with me. I was seriously skeptical that my blue had any red whatsoever in it, I mean it looked seriously BLUE (not purple), but I pulled my can of extra paint from the closet and looked at the formula and sure enough: a little magenta. From there she showed me a bunch of photos of different bedrooms and furniture and was very perceptive at picking up on my tastes. I think she understands my style better than I do, and she is helping me to understand it too. This is the 2nd time I have used Seattle Staged to Sell and they came through on a tight deadline, for a large & dated property. Shirin seemed competent, but the woman with whom she works is terribly rude. When we were getting ready to list our house and our agent had Shiela walk through, she was all smiles and helpful ideas. On the day they were staging (after collecting about $4500) they were horribly rude. I had simply stopped by for 5 minutes after work to check on the landscapers work, make sure the cleaners had been through and to take a peek at the staging furniture. They told me I had to leave my house. You know what, it was still MY house. I wasn't there to critique, I wasn't there to get in they way. I was there to ensure that all the pieces were coming together. They should have let me walk through my house for 5 minutes instead of very impolitely kicking me out. It's a good thing we are not moving again any time soon. If you are I would consider a different stager. read more

Shirin did a phenomenal job staging our house. We were on a tight budget, and she was able to make the house look amazing while staying within our price range. She used a lot of the furniture that we already had, and by rearranging it and adding thoughtful accents, she made it look absolutely beautiful. I could not believe it was the same house! DO NOT BELIEVE THE FAKE REVIEWS SHE HAS ON HERE. Shirin is a over priced crook. We hired her because she acted like she knew what she was talking about. The fact is she put some really cheap Kmart quality stuff in our home. The couch looked old and well used, the dining table had scratches and knicks everywhere and the dining chair had stains on the upholstery. I CANT BELIEVE she charges people for this stuff. She states in her "contract" that you cant move things or you have no say as to what she uses. So when she puts her junk in your house you are stuck and she doesnt do refunds. she charged us more than $3k and the place looked abosolutely terrible. We asked her to replace so some of the items and she refused. Ultimately we took her chairs and stored them in the garage and replaced them with our own. also we used another sofa we had to rent from a design center in kirkland. Our home sold but i can tell you it was embarrassing to stand there and represent our home with her low quality furniture and accessories. If you are considering using her ask to go check out her storage where she keeps her stuff and youll see for yourself. I hope Shirin uses some of that money she got from us and buys better merchandise to use on her next victim. read more

Initially, I wasn't sold on the whole concept (and expense) of "staging" until we walked through the house with Shirin and she had a great plan formed for each room. Seattle Staged to Sell was recommended by my realtor. All of the other vendors that my realtor had recommended had been phenomenal with the exception of Seattle staged to sell. Shirin and her team staged my home, and while I wasn't impressed with the furniture (it is pretty low-end and the "bed" began deflating quickly) but that wasn't the part of the experience that prompted me to write this review (ie the bad furniture and staging was manageable). The worst part of the experience was Shirin's ego. There was a small modification that I asked Shirin to make after staging the house. I received an incredibly rude email from her stating that in the contract it stated that she had "full control" and that the problem wasn't with her staging job but the problem was with my house!! I didn't feel like arguing with her so I simply hauled over some of my own furniture to make the modification. I would never recommend this business to anyone. read more

I hired Seattle Staged to Sell based solely on their website and reviews. I hoped it would add value to my craftman style home in Ballard as I prepared it for a sale. To be honest, I did so with some trepidation because I've never done this before and I was relying on reviews (like this one) rather than first hand, verified info. But after talking to Shirin and meeting her design team, I went ahead. I could not be more amazed at the outcome and quality of the staging. Shirin's team, headed up by Allie, came in and spent at least 5 hours that day, staging the house. A total of FIVE employees took great care moving furniture in, complete with taking their shoes on and off every single time through that front door. They spent hours making sure each piece of furniture was ideal for the house - including the need to run and get 4 different kitchen chairs in the middle of the job. They had a moving truck of choices, hand picked for my house - and tons of choices for artwork for the walls. In the end, when I showed my friends pictures of the house - they kept asking me to come and do their interior decorating. I had to tell them - it's not me - it's Seattle Staging!!! I could not be happier with the outcome. And if anyone reading this is like I was - a little worried because you've never done this before - use Seattle Staging with confidence.
