I called MASONS AUTO REPAIR IN SCITUATE before they even opened to see if I could get an oil change…read more. Left a message. No return call so I called again. spoke to gentleman who said I could drop my car off for an oil change. I did. dropped it off. No prices are posted in this shop at all. I left the car. They called 2 hrs later and told me it would cost 118.00 for a simple oil chnge!!!! Crazy this is not an SUV, truck or anything like that. It was a small Honda Accord.It was PRICE GOUGING to the fullest extinct! I am 65 years old, and although prices have went up, it hasn't gone up to the price of 118.00 for a simple oil change. I did not request anything other than. So I thought I would appeal to them. It was my first time there, I work next door so it was convenient. I was speaking to the manager/owner in a respectable low tone, and he just started going off the Rails "We use the best oil, I've been in business so many years, and that I have been taking you car to cheap places" ( how does he know wher I've been hmmmm???) on and on he went..my goodeness!!! I siad yes, everybody says that ,the same old best oil, in business crap. I asked why he's rude to me when I'm being civil to him... he just continued ranting wouldn't SHUT UP. Customers were in the shop listening to this. No respect for the customers that were there either. I told him I had wanted to establish a relationship with the shop for the future since I work close by. He didn't care just ranting and raving. I posted this review at work and told all my co workers, they wer in disbeleif, and said they will not go back there again,and would never pay over $100 for an oil change on a car. Maybe he just didn't like me but damn he was so unprofessional and rude.!! DON"T DO IT!!!

He also opened up the gas station down the street and around the corner - called Village Gas Station and he's done so much with that station as well... He's super friendly, his staff members are great & if you want something specifically (like a candy) he'll order it for you/ which is great! He's a great guy and great business owner. The owner refused to help me in anyway, issue me any type of refund, a partial refund etc. This was really disappointing considering I come here daily and he knows it. I also believe that the pods were fake and he was selling fake pods. Since then he no longer carries the Juul flavored pods. He does however carry the Juul compatible pods- so I still come here to purchase pods but after that negative experience-not NEARLY AS often! I now make the trek to Nona's or another shop that sells these pods because he's rude. The straw that broke the camels back was:!One time I was getting gas and I was talking to a friend who pulled in beside me and he came out of the store and started waving his arms frantically yelling at me to move out of the gas pump! Excuse me? I just made a $60 gas purchase and you're seriously going to ask me to move (wicked rudely) as if I had been sitting there for over an hour! I was sitting there no longer then 10 minutes. We made the appointment via phone this time and were asked if we were using our insurance. Last time insurance didn't cover windshield repair. This time it is, so thanks for the info. The repair tech called, day of the appointment, to check if we were available early and we received a text message when he arrived. Even though it was very cold he was able to do the repair work. He was 'here and gone' in what felt like 'no time at all'. Quick and easy process. Our insurance company was notified by us ahead of the appointment and we sent them all the info they needed. Safelite will bill them directly.

I often ride my motorcycle to Connecticut, since Rhode Island is so small and the condition of the roads pales in comparison to Connecticut. I've stopped here for drinks and gas either on my way out, or on my way home. They have Mobil gasoline, plus separate diesel and kerosene pumps on the left side of the store. There a decent selection of drinks and snacks, and the store seems pretty clean, well-stocked and well-organized. While there is a customer bathroom, it is actually a porta-potti outdoors, behind the building, so it's like roughing it for people who might be more sensitive to those sort of things (although it beats going in the woods). Be careful pulling out (especially if you're on a motorcycle), since it's at the top of a hill, cars travel pretty fast and you can only see so far out before a car pops over the crest of the hill. One time a few years ago - I will never forget - I was coming back from a motorcycle ride in Connecticut, where I had gotten caught in heavy rain. It was either dusk or dark, but anyway, I went inside to prepay for my gas. There was a customer ahead of me, but the cashier was extremely chatty with this customer, so much so that a puddle of water formed on the floor beneath me while I waited.
