Came by for dinner the other night and it was a world class experience. Primeur is a modern British…read morerestaurant featured in the Michelin guide. The restaurant is located in a residential area in Zone 2. Made a reservation and my seat was ready upon arrival. The restaurant seems to be a mix of communal tables along with a kitchen counter. The view from the kitchen counter was stunning. The daily menu is written on the blackboard and appears to change dialy. Started off with the leeks small plate and it was excellent. The leeks were soft, flavorful and topped with some crispy and crunchy accoutrements. Moved on to the guinea fowl for the main and it was absolutely world class. The meat was soft and tender and the crispy skin was excellent. This was served with a bed of mashed potatoes along with some vegetables. Ended off the meal with the chocolate ganache which featured cherries with a ton of rum. Portion was gigantic and the presentation was excellent! Staff were super nice and cordial throughout the evening service.

This is a really fantastic spot in a quiet area - you'd never stumble across it, so I am grateful…read moresome friends took us here. You need to book via Twitter, though they often has space for walk-ins. The wine list is fabulous and staff so knowledgable - just ask for a recommendation and you won't be disappointed. The menu changes up to the minute according to what ingredients were fresh that day. As a vegetarian, I was worried there wouldn't be many options but it wasn't a problem. The tomatoes were some of the most flavorful I've ever had. The ambiance is almost like an impromptu dinner party at a friend's house - charmingly imperfect, casual but lovely. I will certainly be back!

We started with the cod croquettes. They were light and fluffy and the aioli was delicious. Next was the mozzarella and raw courgette. I was skeptical about the raw courgette but I loved it and ate more than my fair share. Next was the star of the night for me- the ricotta gnocchi. It was one of the best pastas I've ever had, and I wish I could recreate the sauce at home! Next was the second star- the baked cuttlefish pasta. Super skeptical here again because I normally don't like inked pasta, but my husband wanted it. It was sooooo good. We ended with an eclair and I was stuffed and happy! Can't recommend enough!

Luckily, the food at Westerns Laundry was better than the outcome of the game. I really enjoyed all the food. Salad with vinaigrette was great. Baked ricotta was yummy. Oyster of the day amazing. Anyway, almost did not come because of the negative reviews on the 'natural' wine. My conclusion: avoid the wine. Not sure why a great restaurant (who is on notice about the wine disaster) is dedicated to serving kombucha instead of having a solid list. Stick with the excellent beer and cocktails (the white port and tonic is amazing). Better luck for the Gunners in the future, but Westerns Laundry is worth the trip regardless.
