Stopped into this small local dive bar and had a really solid experience. It only took a few minutes to get our drinks, and the service stayed quick and attentive even with food coming out of the kitchen. The bartender was awesome super friendly and gave great recommendations that definitely paid off. We tried the crab dip, and that was a standout. It's made with real crab and has a great crab-to-cheese ratio (not overly heavy like some places). Everything we ordered came out hot and fresh, which is always a big plus. The atmosphere was fun and laid-back, with early 2000s hits playing across all genres--kind of nostalgic in the best way. One thing to note: there is a bag ID and security check before entering, which might catch you off guard if you're not expecting it, but it didn't slow things down much. Overall, a great spot if you're looking for good food, fast service, and a relaxed dive bar vibe. Would definitely come back. 18% auto gratuity No military discount Good drinks Good food read more

Stopped in after dinner for a little night cap. The live music caught my attention and won me over. I got in and hit the bar. Though there was a crowd it's easy maneuvering between bars to get a drink. The band that was performing was pretty good as well. I hope the residential developments don't affect their ability to continue to have live music into the night. read more

I really enjoyed this place!!! Looks like a dive from the outside and it is- In a good way! My server was SO nice and chill. The vibe in here is so fun and totally like a bar/nightclub/rawbar. Prices are very reasonable I ordered the smaller which was crab legs, oysters and shrimp and broccoli for only $35.00 Crab legs were flavored perfectly Oysters weren't my fav and they weren't served on ice but still good. Bloody Mary was good, too I could see myself frequenting this place if I was a local Thai would be great for a low key date or a ladies night. read more

I LOVED IT!!!GREAT SERVICE!!!The bartenders were awesome!!!!great atmosphere!!!will come again!!

Tony and I was here for his 57th birthday, sitting outside in the enclosed area enjoying people watching. My daughter and her boyfriend was near by getting their pics taken at an Old Time Photo location and we were enjoying the nice weather, a cold beer and soda for me and enjoying the floor shop of tourist walking by on the sidewalk. One drunk couple at 5pm in the day was fighting on the sidewalk. That was amusing until the police arrived. We didn't eat anything here because we just had a big feast at the marina at Rudee Inlet but we enjoyed the dive bar atmosphere, the nice bartender and the few drinks we enjoyed while people watching. Definitely going here again, this is our type of place!!! read more

Not what I expected, but the food was great! It's a club. It's a bar. It's raw. It's a raw bar club. Lol read more

If you're looking for authentic, at the beach seafood, then this is your place. Service was great, and the raw bar was second to none. Very reasonably priced and it filled us up. The only reason for four stars was some very obnoxious patrons that were out on the patio where we were dining. To be fair, this is a bar with a bar vibe, but this one table was over the top obnoxious. read more

Seaside Raw Bar - Crab, cheesy bread, steamed shrimp. - Seafood Near Me - Virginia Beach, Virginia

If you like seafood, especially oysters, this is the spot to eat at in Virginia Beach. The menu is simple, but the food has a lot to offer. For example, the surf side nachos are plentiful and have the perfect amount of cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. Plus, you get shredded chicken, shrimp, and bacon. All of the ingredients mix well and taste amazing. Now, the Rockefeller oysters are insanely delicious. I'm not certain what's in their recipe, but it's rich and satisfying. I'm also a huge fan of the raw oysters here. They are large and consistently taste fresh. Additionally, the staff members are extremely nice and quick to serve. The atmosphere is divey, but clean. Overall, you can't go wrong eating here to satisfy your hunger. read more

AMAZING! My boyfriend and I have been on vacation for a week now and have been disappointed by pretty much every meal. We got crab at another restaurant that was more expensive and it seriously sucked. At this place, we ordered the seafood platter and a house salad. We split it, and omg!! It was amazing. Seriously the perfect amount for 2 people at a good price. We spent less than $50 for 2 specialty cocktails, and the two food items. The vibe of the place was a great too. Really amazing staff. Seriously recommend!!! read more

Love this place! Walked in and the first two songs over the sound system were Stevie Wonder's Superstition and "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised." Staff was engaged and helpful. Jon walked us through the menu and the draft selections. We went with a dozen raw oysters, a dozen Rockefeller, and a dozen Clams Casino. They were all great. Beer selection was broad and mostly local, at least on the drafts. I admit to a bias. I love a good raw bar. But this is a wonderful version. read more

The Seaside Raw Bar is absolutely popping. The DJ was jamming, the wait service was on top of things. The food didn't take long to come out. We ordered the Seaside feast add shrimp minus crawfish. The waiter made sure to keep the shots flowing. I believe the ambience made the experience greater. The bar is small but they have outside seating. Definitely a place that I would frequent if i was local. read more

This location is right on the boardwalk and where i may not have originally thought that the location was kid friendly, i was sorely mistaken. Mark was amazing with our kids. It's a drive bar. That being said....with great food! And fresh! The staff and service are awesome! Oysters Rockefeller, Clams Casino, even the sandwiches are outstanding. If you're looking for a non touristy place, this is the place to go that's in walking distance of the hotels. The menu offers more than a raw bar and the atmosphere if dark and grungy, if you like that type of bar. The seafood special was very good, although the shrimp did not come peeled for deveined, so if you are ready to work for your meal it's worth it. The waiter and chef were the same person. And he did not seem very professional at all..He was talking and swearing to other customers at the bar. The other customers were loud and drunk, and we were there at noon. read more

Hole in the wall, but I really like it. Plus their specials they have every now and then... 20 dollars for shrimp and some crab clusters? Can't complain. But most of all, the bartenders were very kind, even if you get in late. read more

I'm not a 1 star reviewer. Most of the time, if I have a bad experience at a restaurant, I'll wait it out and give them another shot--or I'll just keep my mouth shut and let other people tell their stories. I prefer to be positive and help out small businesses. Well clearly that didn't happen with Seaside Raw Bar and here's why.... I came here with a few friends after the 2013 Neptune Wine Fest. One of our group was a Seaside Raw Bar regular many years ago and wanted to try it out again. My initial impression upon walking in was that it was a little run down and a little dirty--but I dig that kind of place as long as they have excellent food. Our waiter showed up at the table pretty promptly and asked for our drink orders. After a long day of wine we were content with just starting out with water--so we ordered 5 waters. The waiter was visibly annoyed that we weren't ordering alcohol and walked off to get our drinks. He came back, negative attitude through the roof, and slapped our water (in red solo cups) on the table and left again. "The food better be good" is all I could think. Several minutes later another waiter showed up at the table. He informed us that the first waiter had "quit" and that he would be our server now. This was a little strange, but whatever. We put in our orders and it was about the time that he started reading the orders back to us that we all realized he was slurring pretty heavy. Now I'm aware that there are people that have disorders that cause them to slur their speech, but I was definitely getting a "drunk" vibe from this server. Even that, to me, is fine--as long as my food is good. I had expected by this point for our original server, who "quit", to have hung up his apron and left the building. But that wasn't the case. He was still working with other customers and walking around behind the bar. He continued to do so even as we were leaving the restaurant. He clearly just couldn't handle the fact that we ordered water and not alcohol. I got the oysters rockefeller and my girlfriend got the lobster tails. The food didn't come out too much later. The oysters rockefeller were really good. I was impressed. They had redeemed themsel----nope. My girlfriend's lobster tails were raw. If I had to guess, they were frozen and clearly didn't thaw out enough before being steamed. For $30 and the proximity to the ocean, I expect a hell of a lot better than raw lobster. I'll add a picture of the raw lobster tails to the photos for this restauraunt. Do yourself a favor and skip Seaside Raw Bar, unless of course, you're John Taffer and want to come do an episode of Bar Rescue. read more

The place is a little hole in the wall joint, but the food is fantastic and the atmosphere is awesome. Would recommend.

Service was piss poor. The bartender which was the so called "manager" got an attitude with me after I told him the drink he made me tasted straight like juice. He did not offer to make It again after I asked him too. Definitely not coming back; get better management (fire) then I'll consider It. read more

Had a single drink here and moved on. The place is nice and I like the interior design. There's lots of wood work and it feels very comfortable, like you're hanging out in your den. I'll have to come back and have a meal some time. They had either open mic night going on and the place was pretty dead. The guys were playing "The Dukes of Hazard" theme song and that pretty much killed it for us. We finished our drinks and walked. read more

It was a pretty divey atmosphere and I expected that would be good for sea food. Well, we each had the half and half, a 1/2 dozen clams and 1/2 dozen oysters. They were the tiniest shellfish I ever saw and I never even could taste them due to the tiny size. Epic fail. The one pound of snow crabs were good though, but they didn't even come with fries or cole slaw, With two glasses of house wine and one pint of Blue Moon, the bill came to $71. Will not return. read more

I've always heard such great things about bring your new beach and so I had a good time at the beach although the water was murky and brown it was the most crowded area I have ever been to as far as a beach town is concerned.
